I know lots of people are eagerly waiting for this! There's an extract of the first chapter in the Guardian this morning. Here:

Enjoy! It's good!

Looking forward to reading, thanks for link. I was about to pre order the book from my local bookshop for £25, but then noticed it was £12.50 on Amazon. guilt
RoyalCorgi · 22/02/2020 13:09
I enjoyed that - great to refamiliarise oneself with those characters, though it's quite tough reading about Anne Boleyn's execution.
I gather this one is about 800 pages so it's going to be a bumper read.
Nuffaluff · 22/02/2020 15:54
Can’t wait
CountFosco · 22/02/2020 15:57
So looking forward to this!
slartibarti · 22/02/2020 16:58
Really looking forward to this. Just about to pre order from amazon but can't make up my mind whether to get the kindle book or the hardback as both the same price.
Kindle would be much easier to read in bed as it's a 900 page book, but I'm loathe to spend £12.50 on a kindle book .
MaJoady · 22/02/2020 17:09
I'm quite excited. Amazingly, I managed to reserve it at the library and am first on the list to get it. Not sure I'll manage to get through it all in 3 weeks though...
Will probably end up buying it to finish off!

Amazingly, I managed to reserve it at the library and am first on the list to get it.
Wow you're lucky! I had a look at our library online site last week, just one copy on order for the whole of the county. If I reserved it I'd be 79th on the list. A wait of over 4 years .
DuchessDumbarton · 22/02/2020 23:57
Am ridiculously excited to read this. Cannot wait to get my mitts on the book....well, I can wait, in that I won't order from Amazon and will order through local book store. But am truly looking forward to this as a treat.
MaJoady · 23/02/2020 00:54
@slartibarti I reserved it last year! Which I know is a bit ridiculous, but I logged on and happened to see it listed.
slartibarti · 23/02/2020 12:25
Not ridiculous at all, I wish I'd thought of it
DimplesMcGee · 01/03/2020 20:08
So excited for this. I’ve had it on preorder since it was announced.
DidoAndHerLament · 02/03/2020 13:53
Hilary Mantel was on Start the Week this morning (link here)
I'm re-reading (well re-listening) to the first two while I wait for my library to fecking HURRY UP and order copies.
ThatLibraryMiss · 02/03/2020 14:50
I've pre-ordered the audiobook. It's got a new narrator - I hope he's as good as the other two.
RoryGillmoresEvilTwin · 03/03/2020 16:03
I want this asap but I won't buy the hardback (because they're a pain in the arse to carry about) and I don't want the kindle book. I can't believe I need to wait for the paperback ðŸ˜
Hovverry · 04/03/2020 18:46
It really annoys me that we have to wait so long for the paperback of a new book. I don’t want hardback books, too heavy and no space on my shelves.
But I can’t wait for this and have preordered from our local bookshop, who need support. Bloody Amazon doesn’t deserve anyone’s support.
Clawdy · 04/03/2020 20:28
Picking up my pre-ordered copy tomorrow, can't wait! I know it will be a ( literally) heavy read, but I managed the hardback of Tombland a few months ago, and that was nearly as long! I found putting it on a spare pillow on my stomach helped when I read it in bed !
QueenAnnesHat · 05/03/2020 07:56
I'm sitting waiting for my pre-ordered audiobook to appear in my Audible Library - anyone know when it will be released? I'm thinking maybe at 9.00 am when the shops open.
ChainsawBear · 05/03/2020 08:00
Ooh. I simultaneously so want to read this and don't want to. Cromwell is so rich, so engrossing, so brilliant and at the same time you could see him sliding into increasing flashes of hubris and sowing the seeds of his own death. But you also know he died in large part because the old-school aristocrats wouldn't tolerate his birth. Ohhhh.
I've read what Mantel said about the trilogy ending how it began and it's going to be a gut-punch.
Tulipstulips · 05/03/2020 11:32
Mine’s just arrived....
MaJoady · 05/03/2020 16:31
Happy Mantel Day everyone! Looking forward to getting home and making a start...
World, see you in a month!
Clawdy · 05/03/2020 19:31
Thanks, MaJoady ! So looking forward to this!
BlancheDuBlah · 05/03/2020 19:32
It pinged onto my Kindle before 6am via Amazon,my life's been getting in the way of my reading all day OP.
Tulipstulips · 06/03/2020 07:40
It’s great so far! Just getting back into remembering that ‘He’ is nearly always Cromwell.
tripfiction · 06/03/2020 12:46
Did anyone in London see the cover projected onto the Tower of London where the book opens and ends? I imagine a lot of people had no idea what the pattern represented, but it's very pretty
