I'm scared to even click on Active Threads let alone the spoiler! If someone tells me not to look or not to click, the first thing I want to do, is do it!

MrsWeasley · 21/07/2007 01:47

Got in 30 mins ago after a super night at Borders book shop. Kids had a ball. Am going to have a little read now before sleeping.

Found out at 4.30 that our local little Martins was selling them early (they only got a few copies and so started selling them this morning at £15" my dh offered to go and get me one I said "No Way" In fact I may now use a different newsagents.

If he knew how much I've just spent in the book store he wouldnt be saying that

nappyaddict · 21/07/2007 01:54

just got my book yay.

nappyaddict · 21/07/2007 02:00

that newsagents should get in trouble for selling them early.

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 10:16

My book hasn't arrived yet , shall I wait on or run out to the bookshop & buy one? [indecisive emoticon]

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 11:06

Just spoken to amazon & they said it could be up to 6pm tonight before its delivered . Am really really tempted to go to the bookshop now

lol kerry, I dreamt I saw the van turn up & I actually answered the door & took it. When I woke up I was a bit 'has that happened yet or not'!

MrsWeasley · 21/07/2007 12:08

my copy from amazon was delivered at 10am. (It was nearly my only copy as we were unable to get out of our town at some points yesterday all roads were flooded! )The 15 minute journey to the book store took us 1 hour 10 minutes (panic was setting in!! )

Only stopped to put some washing in machine back to book now!

AnnieOleHouseElf · 21/07/2007 15:17

I've got mine! From Sainsbury's this morning, with a free magic wand!

Now what would a house elf need with a magic wand... I is wondering what the witch who sold the book is looking at me like that for.

MrsWeasley enjoy your reading. And all MrsWeasley's friends!!

I is hoping the coffee is still fresh...

kneazlechick · 21/07/2007 16:00

mine came this morning. Am up to chapter 5 but dh's dd duty lasted all of 20 mins so the going is slow!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the read - resist the spoiler thread, resist it!!!

Flibbertyjibbet · 21/07/2007 16:02

My neighbour met JK Rowling at the Natural History Museum launch party this morning! He just got back as we are 200 miles from London and he is shattered. His daughter won a competition to go! He is soooo proud of her its wonderful. Of course I was pleased for him even if my book is NOT HERE YET .
I wonder if his daughter will lend me her signed copy till mine gets here

rosmerta · 21/07/2007 17:36

flibbertyjibbet, the one I ordered hasn't arrived yet either, I decided to go out & buy one!

Have finished it now so am going to wander over to the spoiler thread

MaureenMcGonagall · 21/07/2007 17:46

I planned a lovely day. Told dd that since she'd had such a long last week at school, we'd have a film fest. Weather rubbish, dh at home and happy to just sit. Great I thought, they can watch the Lord of the Rings collection, that'll give me HOURS to read HP! So we all snuggled down together at about 1'ish to watch and read, but because I queued at midnight, I'm too damn tired and keep falling asleep! I'm only on chapter 6, I hoped to be a lot futher through by now. Briliant so far though!

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 21/07/2007 18:24

Got mine at about 10am (up at 7am to feed lo but wasn't able to get out until then cos dts had plans...grrrr...how dare my kids have lives )....
Have only read first few chapters though as the baby is very needy at mo, full of cold . Roll on 7.30 when she will go to bed [bliss emoticon]

DC kept coming in to ask silly questions but mananged to get dh to do everything for them.

nappyaddict · 22/07/2007 12:10

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 22/07/2007 14:34

glitterfairy · 22/07/2007 14:37

DOne even though I was going to unpack at me new house! Loved it.

tammybear · 22/07/2007 15:11

Was lurking on here, so thought I'd at least post in this section! Lol.

I finished reading mine at 1:30 last night. It was so good, and I'm so gonna restart reading it again tonight.

Can't believe it's all finished (for now) though! It's the end of an era!
