Hope you find this ladies!

OP posts:
kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 12:14

Rosmerta - I'm still here Been to playgroup and no one there is in the least bit bothered about the big release They're all farming folk round here so don't have time to read and stuff Ah well, will have to content myself with sticking to chats on here - not to say it's not great chatting on here

AnnieOleHouseElf · 20/07/2007 12:19

MrsWeasly you is too good to me, I is never leaving you. Dobby was treated cruelly by his old Masters, that is why he is happy to be free.

Kreacher is Bad Elf... He is sending Harry Potter maggots.

Enjoy the BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PhilosophersSecretChamberpot · 20/07/2007 12:25

Any ideas on how I can persuade my eleven-year-old not to tell me the plot once he's read the book on Sat?

rosmerta · 20/07/2007 12:28

Tape up his mouth?

Lock him in his room?

I'm glad I'm not on my own after all!

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 12:32

Hold something he loves to ransom?

Send him on an exchange trip to Outer Mongolia?

Get a restraining order slapped on him?

Well, rosmerta, someone has to hold up the fort, we can't all be light-weights

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 12:33

PhilosophersSecretChamberpot - I'm ed that you are letting him read it first!! You are much more indulgent than I would ever be

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 12:37

Just clicked on active convos and there are 6 threads relating to Harry Potter!!!

Ok, most of them are taking the p but 6*!! Don't think anything has had so much attention in all the time I've been on here (admittedly only 17mths but still ...)

PhilosophersSecretChamberpot · 20/07/2007 12:37

Oh god the thought of persuading him to let me read it first makes me faint. It's not that he's so very big a potter fan these days its just that he has an ego the size of the Ritz. And anyway he reads so fast he will finish it by tea-time, whereas I'll be at it for days. (I do get it befor my eight-year-old, though, because he is charming and generous...

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 12:46

Ah - lesser of 2 evils ... now I understand.

rosmerta · 20/07/2007 13:14

6 threads? I knew of one other one & our 3!

Let's face it, we're the original & best [smug grin]

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 14:28

lol - Of course we are the original and best, part 3! (Like "Greatest Hits Ever ... part3 albums)
Most of the others were p*ss takers Let them have their fun, we know they'll all be asking us what happened in a few days time

Off to make play-dough now [smug alpha mummy grin]

rosmerta · 20/07/2007 14:37

Am v impressed with the play dough! I always wanted to try it but chickened out & bought some instead

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 20/07/2007 14:40

PhilosophersSecretChamberpot - may i suggest a gag or duct tape
Do bear in mind you may get the same treatment by your eight yr old though!!!

MrsWeasley · 20/07/2007 14:43

I'm getting my kids their own copies (I did share last time and it was dreadful. )

My kids are all so excited now.

Annie Elf: Thank you for the coffee. I'll need lots I'm afraid was up at 3am to see DD1 off on a school trip!

CharleeWeasley · 20/07/2007 14:44

I went to see the film last night, i thought it was rwally good! Danielk Radcliffe at the begining when he was all wet and muddy! drool!

Kids are napping so they wont be to grotty for our late night party tonight when we go to get my book! yay

MrsWeasley · 20/07/2007 14:47

my 10 yo says he's going to bed when he gets in so that he wont fall asleep too early tonight

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 20/07/2007 14:47

Am jealous. Won't get mine very early as got baby to look after - need sleep. Went to see the film with dts on Tuesday for their birthday...it wasokay, but i still prefer the books. Although the films were originally what started me off on Harry Potter in the first place.

MrsWeasley · 20/07/2007 14:51

the secret door on the JKRowling.com site is open again. take a look

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 15:03

Play-dough is great - so easy to make! Just made it for the first time There is a recipe on a thead to Franny.

[thick] where is the secret door??

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 20/07/2007 15:09

I was going to ask that! Was too embarassed after the last question which turned out to have a link to it about 20cm lower down [d'oh emoticon]

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 15:22

Found it. You click on the pink rubber on the desk. Does anyone know what happens if you put the red and green liquids into the plant by the secret door?

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 20/07/2007 15:27

Thanks! That was quite sweet about her husband and kids!

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 15:30

Yes, bless her little girl.

Have you registered on the "Roll call of when you're getting the book" thread?

MrsWeasley · 20/07/2007 15:33

Yes the red and green bottles make the plant grow. let me see if I can find you the link to the little clues

MrsWeasley · 20/07/2007 15:39

this site gives you all the tip and tricks there are loads of different ones on the site, they reveal little secrets (like pages of first drawings and ideas etc). Have fun
