Right, have changed nickname (finally thought of one).
I can't find the newspaper article link...where is it?? And should i believe a wordof it or should i close my eyes and ears to all media HP-related rubbish and just be patient???

kneazlechick · 19/07/2007 21:00

There is a link to the thread where the link is further down - I put it on earlier. I read the review. It doesn't give anything away as such, but the few references it makes are interesting. Not sure how true any of it is tho.

Only 27 hours to go !!!

MrsWeasley · 19/07/2007 21:09

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow : Welcome home and many many congratulations. Lovely name

AnnieElf: Thanks for the coffee. You really are a good house elf. Now I have a serious question for you. Are you the type of house elf that would like to be free like Dobby or would you find it an insult? This is just a hypothetical question of course!

Nymphadora; if he cares about you he would be honoured to drop into the nearest late might book shop.

BOM: One of us must be right we have covered every angle

I am so excited about the weekend. I start a new job tomorrow and I couldnt care less (I would normally be worried etc) I just cant wait for midnight!

Trouble is I started to move bedrooms around yesterday but things conspired to keep me from finishing it now it will just have to wait.

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 19/07/2007 21:10

Thanks! Just read it...doesn't give much away though does it? Most is pretty much what we expected. Hmmm. Going to go and mull over the lots of people dying bit

AraFanellaFigg · 19/07/2007 21:11

It's tomorrow!!!

Sorry, just came over all excited then..

persephonesnape · 19/07/2007 21:19

snape is good. Lily + snape 4evah!

:p

enjoy your read, ladies.

MrsWeasley · 19/07/2007 21:20

have we decided what we are going to title our threads if we wish to discuss without spoiling? (ie. "if you've read chap 1-3 and want to chat read on - SPOILER ALERT")

MrsWeasley · 19/07/2007 21:23

persephonesnape: have a relaxing weekend its been a pleasure chatting with you
I maynot be on here over the weekend either unless its too traumatic

rosmerta · 19/07/2007 22:03

OK, I'll set up a thread sometime tomorrow as "SPOILERS: come and discuss Deathly Hallows here"

How's that?

Persephone & MrsW - I can't believe you're deserting us , I'll be on tomorrow & then immediately after finishing it

HungarianHorntailsBumcheek · 19/07/2007 22:03

Lol. The one time we all won't have MN-withdrawal-symptoms. Our families may have mum-withdrawal-symptoms though

rosmerta · 19/07/2007 22:03

And you have to stay on so we can at least make a concerted effort to fill this thread!

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 07:13

I will be off as of tomorrow too, just in case, but back as soon as I finish it.

I saw the film last night and must say I enjoyed it immensely. There were no adverts or trailers it started straight away. I loved Kreacher, and the scenes with Harry and Sirius were really touching and .

I loved the DA, and Umbridge was superb. Of course there was loads missing and a few plot changes but I thought what they put in was brilliant. I loveed that Harry, Ron and Hermy are getting really close. You can see now that they're best friends and know each other really well and care about each other.

Ginny was fab, as was Luna, and Grawp.
Think Perce looked a bit evil, and what was with Lupin's scars on his face. Is that supposed to be cos he's living with the other werewolves. Don't remember him being attacked tho.

The fight in the MOM was short, but it was good, and i thought the fight between V and DD was brilliant and very emotive when he possessed Harry and DD was all worried. Gave me chills.

In short, or long, I loved it, and it's my fave film so far definately.

What was up with Dudley tho??

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 08:48

Glad you enjoyed the film BOM At last, someone who makes me think I want to see it for the fact that it is a good film rather than simply becasue it is Harry Potter!! I'm trying to book it for next Friday but the Odeon at Kettering isn't showing times for that far ahead! It must still be on mustn't it?!

rosmerta · 20/07/2007 09:12

childline preparing for distraught fans

PhilosophersSecretChamberpot · 20/07/2007 09:20

Mnet Potterists' Rollcall/Meetup??

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 09:26

I would think so Kneazle.
It was a great film. And I thought Gambon was good too.
I have accepted that he is DD, and I actually thought he did a good job. He was n't too shouty or anything, apart from that one bit where he snapped at the students.

I want to see it again. DH and I are going to go atthe end of the month, Iwould think it would play for a while yet.

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 09:41

I've checked 3 cinemas now and they all go up to next Thursday night. So I guess I'm just too early to book online. Will try later.

I love that puppet thing, think it's really clever, but then I'm a bit sad like that

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 09:46

yeah, that link must've gone wrong, but i think someone linked those on the first thread. Very amusing tho

kneazlechick · 20/07/2007 09:49

link went wrong? I watched it fine. Odd, but who knows?

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 09:50

Well the title says it should link to the thread roll calling all MNers with HP names, but it links to the puppet show.

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 09:50

Or to a meet up apparently

BandofMuggles · 20/07/2007 09:56

Anyhooo, ladies. Am logging off now til I have read the book.

I really don't want spoilers, am even sending DH into the shop in case there's someone in there trying to spoil.

Have had so much fun theorising with you all and can't wait to discuss the book when we're all done.

HARRY MUSTN'T DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HairyPuter · 20/07/2007 09:57

wish I'd thought of this name earlier

rosmerta · 20/07/2007 10:01

Liked the puppet thing, thought it was v funny!

I can't believe you're all leaving early, I'm going to be here all on my own

BecklePhoenixBird · 20/07/2007 12:05

When the new thread is set up can someone please link to it from here, will be away for the week so no MN and want to find you all again!

Could thread title say something like

"Harry Potter obsessiveness for those who've FINISHED reading Deathly Hallows - WARNING SPOILERS!!!"

That way no-one will read it by accident and be annoyed about the spoilers!
