OP posts:
Blandmum · 17/05/2007 13:43

I am very happy, and I know that MI is as well!

Can';t wait.

Is it a new tales book, or is it a novel with Mouse as the central character?

FrannyandZooey · 17/05/2007 13:44

Oh really? Oh fab

RosaLuxembourg · 17/05/2007 13:44

I know, I am so excited. Will have to track down the other books and reread them - I borrowed them from the library first time round.

mrsflowerpot · 17/05/2007 13:45

Really? I've just re-read them all, bizarrely. How fab.

Off to google it now.

ediemay · 17/05/2007 13:45

Fantastic!

KezzaG · 17/05/2007 13:46

I saw this in the London Paper yesterday. It is called Michael Tolliver Lives and is out on 18th June. now I have to try to reread Harry Potter and Tales of the City to be ready for the new ones!

Carmenere · 17/05/2007 13:47

Oh that is GREAT news, I am going to read them all again too.

I preordered it - and emailed the Bish in high excitement - on Tuesday

alex8 · 17/05/2007 13:54

I reread them all recently whilst doing night feeding so can't wait for the new one

Blandmum · 17/05/2007 13:54

MI and I are fighting over who will be his Fag Hag

motherinferior · 17/05/2007 13:56

You forget I am actually contemplating Major Surgery so I can be his Lurve.

Blandmum · 17/05/2007 13:57

I keep telling you that the stitches wouldn't heal in time

DeviousDaffodil · 17/05/2007 13:58

Oh fabulous.
What a great read for the Summer.
I was gutted when I finished the last one. Flet like I was losing my mates.

binker · 17/05/2007 18:37

I'm really tempted to suggest a Tales of the City for my bookgroup to read, but I am a bit reluctant in case they don't like it as much as I do - it'd upset me a lot !!

BellaBear · 17/05/2007 18:39

ooooo.... part of me is thinking that it will be all wrong and six were perfect, would this spoil it?

but am also v v v excited!

Hassled · 17/05/2007 18:39

Yes yes yes yes yes!!!! You've made my day! I think of Mouse as a close personal friend and often wonder how he is - yay!!

ChippyMinton · 17/05/2007 18:40

OOh fab. I walked around SF once visiting all the book locations - fascinating, even bought a sandwich in the deli. Will dig out my copies and start re-reading in anticipation.

Hassled · 17/05/2007 18:40

and if it's "Michael Tolliver Lives" then he hasn't died of Aids - I'm so happy!

BreeVanDerCamp · 17/05/2007 18:40
Grin
Blandmum · 17/05/2007 18:42

It isn't going to be a Tales of the City book. Byt Mouse is now in his 50s, living with AIDS with a younger lover (as is AM re the lover, which is great he seemed so upset in the last few books IYSWIM). Mrs Madrigal pays a visit.

So looking forward to it

Ladymuck · 17/05/2007 18:44

I loved these. I wonder what time period the new one will cover?

Wheelybug · 17/05/2007 18:44

Could someone be kind enough and list the books in order - For some reason I set myself the challenge a few years back of only buying them if I got them second hand (I'm not sure hwy - I think it may be to do with the fact they changed the covers and I wanted to get matching covers.....yes I am that sad), and I got some of them but did not finish the series - all my books are currently in boxes due to a house move and I have just realised I can pick up the ones I don't have on amazon second hand....

So.. if someone can list htem in order I would be most obliged then I can read the blurbs on amazon and remember where I'd got to ! Thank you.

I got the old ones of ebay - the old covers are MUCH nicer, I agree.
