Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Crackers and cheese for me

Fingermoose · 04/08/2017 16:59

Mmm, glace cherries out of the packet are my craving, with added childhood memories of baking with my mum.

FlyingGoose · 04/08/2017 17:08

Calzone
Macaroni cheese spooned onto kettle chips
Pizza

MoronsandNeurons · 04/08/2017 17:10

Cheese and chutney. All the better with a freshly homebaked loaf and salted butter.

Anilahussain · 04/08/2017 17:12

It's strange and some might say.. ugh!! My kids certainly say 😑 ugh.. that's yukky mum!!!
I crave for ketchup and Indian pilau rice. If I'm out I tend not to add ketchup in.. but at home I crave for it.. so have to add ketchup in my rice!! Lol

Mozarmstrong · 04/08/2017 17:15

I crave anything lemon!! I also love savoury and suppose I'm classed as odd as chocolate does nothing for me it n ever has and never will. Am I too good to be true?? Hubby says it's ok he will always crave chocolate over lemon!!

Chelsea26 · 04/08/2017 17:17

Sausage, mash and caramelised onion gravy with peas and Yorkshire puddings. Definitely worth waiting for!!

shadydelta · 04/08/2017 17:21

I absolutely love home made chilli and home made potatoe chips they are absolutely lovely and really quick to make after a long day at work and the kids are screaming hungry after school!

girlsmum · 04/08/2017 17:27

Cake mix scooped from the bowl with my finger.....

mmmle · 04/08/2017 17:31

Cheese straws, with marmite - one of the things I remember making with my mum as a child. About to get baking now...

empire11 · 04/08/2017 17:35

Chocolate, milk, plain, white, biscuits, cake, mousse, whatever.

changeznameza · 04/08/2017 17:35

Chocolate, cake and avocado. Not together CakeGrin

Avocado mashed on wholemeal toast (like what the millennials eat) with a dash of lemon juice... Chocolate in ANY form. Yes, I have been known to frantically google chocolate microwave mug cake recipes. This is making me hungry.

nushcar · 04/08/2017 17:40

CRISPS!!! I need help!

ditsygal · 04/08/2017 17:44

Chocolate, always chocolate. Oh and biscuits, a tea isn't right without a chocolate digestive to dunk.

libra101 · 04/08/2017 17:44

Like many others, my main crave is chocolate! Especially posh choc, such as Hotel Chocolat. Drooling just thinking about it!

Also Philadelphia cheese, and use it in pasta, with baked potatoes, instead of butter/marg, or on its own. It has its own unique taste. Another crave of mine is Heinz Piccalilly, it's so strong, crunchy and tasty. Great on chips!

Why don't I crave anything healthy!

Bebelala21 · 04/08/2017 17:46

My mum's homemade apple scone with syrup sauce. Ultimate comfort food.

SoniaLeroux21 · 04/08/2017 17:47

I crave cakes especially with lots of vanilla and/or coconut. Those 2 are my favourite flavours that I like the most. So exotic...so yummy!

Hutlife · 04/08/2017 17:47

Crisp pancetta with chargrilled halloumi & sweet chilli jam in a toasted bagel - my perfect breakfast but could actually eat it anytime, YUM!

mumpetuk1 · 04/08/2017 17:50

A homemade Walnut cake, with loads of nuts and a very generous amount of creamy filling!

elizaco · 04/08/2017 17:55

Cashew nuts - I just love them, and when I open a packet struggle to stop! Also love to add them to stir frys and salads.

NerrSnerr · 04/08/2017 17:55

Mine is dull, I always crave pasta and cheese.

anniebee77 · 04/08/2017 17:56

It's got to be homemade bread and dripping - totally not healthy living but a blast from the past and oh! so tasty

Rainbowsaretoo · 04/08/2017 17:58

Cheese.. I'll eat in a sandwich, on toast, baguette or just straight from the fridge!

Anj123 · 04/08/2017 18:01

Chocolate and chips although not necessarily at the same time!!

notfunnyhaha85 · 04/08/2017 18:06

Cupcakes. There is always a tiny part of me craving cupcakes regardless of the time, date, weather, location etc.

The part I love most? The frosting (obviously). One bite of well made frosting is enough to satisfy any sugar craving. Doesn't mean you have to stop at one bite though Wink
