Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Got to be chocolate !

astracan · 04/08/2017 18:12

I crave chocolate - and I usually satisfy my craving!

barricade · 04/08/2017 18:19

Chocolate 'anything' - cakes, biscuits, sweets, etc.

And chillies for savoury snacks and dishes.

When I was in hospital a couple of months ago I couldn't WAIT to get my hands on cashews and Roquefort! And kind of nut or cheese would have been welcome tbh, but I absolutely craved these.

I have a great nut roast recipe that incorporates both of these - and so easy to make in a processor too. Plus I need protein so it's a win-win all round for me.

Nuts - mixed - unsalted. Any mix will do really.
Blue cheese - of your choice.
Parmesan
Breadcrumbs
lemon zest and juice
white asparagus (from a jar is fine). The recipe I used said artichoke hearts but I find these quite tough, even when blitzed.
Herbs - lots!

Squish it all up into a big sausage shape. Bake for around 30 mins - in foil initially, then take foil off to get a brown, crusty top.

This is a very forgiving recipe - ie you don't need to be too precise with the quantities.

Cheese is definitely my favourite thing to eat. My craving, however? Every couple of months or so, I find myself desperate for a fix of hot chilli... the sort that DH complains "burn his lips". So I have to make my sad supper of hot spicy food just for me. DS2 is starting to show interest in the hot stuff Smile

Deliciously creamy desserts, such as creme brûlée, panacotta and cannoli. Or Sticky Toffee Pudding. I eat healthily, with lots of fruit and veg, don't eat sweets or biscuits, cake only occasionally, but can't resist a really indulgent pudding

GranAnn42 · 04/08/2017 18:25

For me it has to be fish. Cod, haddock , shell fish , I don't mind which, but with brown bread and butter.

haniabolek · 04/08/2017 18:25

Pink jelly from my school canteen, and we're on a holiday break. ..

Mindgone · 04/08/2017 18:27

Fresh sourdough bread with Lurpack spreadable butter. In fact I'm starving, and now craving it!

Reastie · 04/08/2017 18:27

I crave peanut butter, half melted into hot toast (proper bread toast. I'm gluten free so hanker after proper bread after not being able to eat it for over fifteen years) and oodles of butter and marmite on a toasted crumpet. I also often crave a buttery crisp warm chocolate croissant (again, gluten free ones just aren't the same). It was the one craving I had when pregnant and I never got to satisfy it .

I love stodgenso to fulfill my love of stodgy puddings I find warm thick porridge with raisins fits the bill of something sweet and stodgy. Hmm, just thinking about this post is making me want to make a steamed pudding and have it with custard .

Mindgone · 04/08/2017 18:28

Another recent craving is Joe&Seph's Marmite flavour popcorn, it's amazing and I just keep ordering more!

TraceyVee · 04/08/2017 18:31

Black olives. I would live on them if I could!

MrsRedWhite214 · 04/08/2017 18:33

I often crave strawberries as they're a lovely refreshing sweet snack

hareinthemoon · 04/08/2017 18:46

Bread, and cheese.

And my body hates me for it.

busymummy3 · 04/08/2017 18:46

Marg2k8 · 04/08/2017 18:48

As I'm dieting at the moment, I seem to crave everything I am not supposed to have. Chocolate, biscuits, cake, crisps to name but a few.

Rae1000 · 04/08/2017 18:50

My cravings are crisps and chocolate and sometimes simultaneously!

StickChildNumberTwo · 04/08/2017 18:57

Cheese. Or marmite off a spoon straight out of the jar.

Everyone else's are making me hungry though!

MamaMimosa · 04/08/2017 18:58

About 4 years ago I had these pastrami egg rolls at a restaurant in New York. They were so good and I crave them ALL THE TIME but I can't afford to go back until my little one is older. A great tragedy, I know. 😂

MamaMimosa · 04/08/2017 18:59

Oh also Nutella straight from the jar. 😋

scarrick87 · 04/08/2017 19:01

I loveeeeeeeeeeee anything sweet and struggle to say no to any food. Just been on holiday and Im literally one of those people who will try anything....although oysters may be another thing hehe

Aquiver · 04/08/2017 19:03

Weirdly - I always crave fruit (melon, mango, pineapple) and salty, cheesy things too!

Pipstarz41 · 04/08/2017 19:10

I love love love salted popcorn with giant chocolate buttons - the buttons melt a bit over the popcorn and it's glorious

OhSoTotallyLost · 04/08/2017 19:11

Right now I'm craving custard (with apple and cherry crumble but mainly the custard!). Never used to have a sweet tooth until I was pregnant a couple of years ago.

Metellaestinhortobibit · 04/08/2017 19:55

Stilton! Just Stilton in big chunks Blush
