Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Well at the moment I am pregnant and could eat cheese on toast all day. I am obsessed!

Nikkimarie · 04/08/2017 15:40

Seafood... it's just sooooo good

alialiath · 04/08/2017 15:41

I prefer savoury food any day of the week. Recently I've been making a lot of stir fry chicken .Lately been craving stir fry in the wee small hours, so I make sure I put a container of chicken stir fry in the fridge which I can scoff cold when my craving hits me.
If I've no stir fry chicken in the fridge, then I'm happy with cheese and water biscuits, or a slice of cold meat.

Anything cherry flavoured is a winner with me. Especially paired with almonds.

MagpieMolley · 04/08/2017 15:42

Jellybeans. I can eat them untill im sick. And then eat some more

Punkatheart · 04/08/2017 15:44

Beetroot in lots of vinegar. I even drink the vinegar afterwards and make my lips go pink. I put them in salads but even had them on toast, liquidise them, slice 'em up with a Babybel. Yep, I really like beetroot!

I have a sweet tooth so most cravings are for chocolate and cakes but if I'm trying to be good mango is my go to healthy sweet treat.
I also like making cakes that contain fruit or veg (banana, courgette, apple etc) as that doesn't feel so bad!

smileyfacechocolatebutton · 04/08/2017 15:47

Chocolate 🍫
Chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, chocolate muffins, chocolate chip welsh cakes, chocolate dip, chocolate spread, chocolate biscuits....I've got a bit of a problem!

HannahLI · 04/08/2017 15:52

I crave tapende and crunchy bread, perfect combo together as well. Sometimes if we have some made a sneak some with a spoon!

Jonesey1972 · 04/08/2017 15:54

Curry. Doesn't matter whether it's dinner, lunch, breakfast or in between... I am always in the mood for a curry!

BellaVida · 04/08/2017 15:58

Freshly baked bread, crackers and a superb cheese board! Both my DH and I love cheese, accompanied by a generous glass of Rioja. Brie, Camembert, Roquefort, Manchego, you name it- there is a particular goats cheese cured with paprika which we could eat a whole one in a single sitting if we didn't control ourselves!!!

MumsOnCrack · 04/08/2017 16:02

Bacon, potato and egg pie made with homemade pastry gets my vote every time. Hot or cold, seved with loads and loads of salad cream.

nishthefish · 04/08/2017 16:04

Chips doused in thick gravy!

bogglebonce · 04/08/2017 16:08

Cheese, is my weakness, especially late at night.

bertdynamite · 04/08/2017 16:19

I crave the meals my mum made for our family when I was a child. She's a really good cook, took home economics as an o level back in the 60s. Try as I might I can never replicate her meals.

alibubbles · 04/08/2017 16:20

Sushi, and especially sashimi, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and dark chocolate coated ginger straight from the fridge

twoflakesanight · 04/08/2017 16:28

I've had many cravings come and go. Fortunately I don't cave to the crave in quite the way I was doing when I made up my username all those years ago. I'm sure I needed the sugar. Expect my toddler was teething or something, ahem. But my consistent craving throughout the years has been: homemade wholemeal bread with a slightly cake-y, moist quality; salted butter and creamy cheddar cheese. Mmnnn. Nothing better when you're really hungry. Washed down with a cup of Birmingham builders tea (the water tastes so nice!) (Yes, I know it;'s from Wales). Ooh, what I wouldn't give for one now. I wish I could bake bread.

ashleywhit · 04/08/2017 16:28

Fresh cream cakes Grin I just love them!! Big fat ones with chocolate 🍫 on the top!! Or with jam in!! But I just have to sniff one and out in 10lb 😂😂😂😂😞😞😞

Lozzy02 · 04/08/2017 16:35

I crave cinnamon flavours. My favourite is a cinnamon laden apple crumble with a cinnamon and rum homemade ice cream. Delicious

itsonlysubterfuge · 04/08/2017 16:39

I crave any kind of baked good, be it cookies, cakes, scones, muffins, or even just ordinary bread. I love baked goods! Mmm

Murine · 04/08/2017 16:44

Soft boiled eggs with marmitey, buttery white bread soldiers to dip in. And sticky toffee pudding! (But not together)

Tonkatol · 04/08/2017 16:50

Usually chocolate or cake, but not chocolate cake for some reason! Love nuts with either. Occasionally and I have noticed it particularly when ill or pregnant, a nice juicy steak or a traditional roast beef Sunday dinner. 😊

MoonPower · 04/08/2017 16:52

Fried egg sandwich Smile
