Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

I crave chocolate all the time. I really feel incomplete if I have a savoury meal and can't have a bit of chocolate to finish it off! Luckily, farmer DP is often driving home late, and is very willing to stop at the garage numerous times a week for chocolate supplies. He's also been known to hide some around the house, so when I'm really moaning desperate, he can whip some out and save himself the earache Grin

Bread and all bread related products, preferably with Cheese. On a diet and this is the biggest miss for me.

ginjin · 03/08/2017 08:34

I do also go through cravings for tomato based dishes (or tinned tomatoes on toast - yum!) but these cravings are far less frequent than chocolate cravings.

FlaviaAlbia · 03/08/2017 08:37

Really good butter and marmalade on toast. Yum.

Davidcameronscat · 03/08/2017 08:51

Thick white bread with salted butter and honey. That has everything you need. Carbs, sugar, salt and fat. Yummy.

Failing that, full on roast dinner.

HoneyDragon · 03/08/2017 08:56

Those chocolate twist things you get in supermarket bakeries and chain coffee shops. But I refuse to pay £1 - £2 for one when a whole packet of puff pastry abdbbag of chocolate chips costs £2 and makes me 20 in fifteen minutes total Grin

At the moment, it's anything savoury and nibbly - humus and breadsticks, chicken satay, cheese scones, still warm homemade sausage rolls, salami and crusty bread.....ooooh, I'm making myself hungry!

MimsyBorogroves · 03/08/2017 09:13

Cake batter.

Or buttercream. Hmm

HELENSCRESCENT · 03/08/2017 09:15

Caramel shortbreads, it's the fact there's gooey caramel, chocolate and biscuit altogether - delicious 😍

lizd31 · 03/08/2017 09:15

I've been on the Slim & Save diet for quite some time so no real food allowed. The only thing I really miss is toast & marmalade.

glenka · 03/08/2017 09:22

Iced buns with jam in is what I love the most.

katastrophy13 · 03/08/2017 09:29

Mango, I can't get enough of it, I just wish that they were a bit cheaper!

scaredofthecity · 03/08/2017 09:38

cold fizzy pop, coffee and chocolate Grin
generally only chocolate when PMTing... why is that?!

AngelwingsPetlamb · 03/08/2017 10:01

Hot sausage rolls, warm crusty bread with real butter and the smell of fish and chips just makes me starving hungry 😊

happysouls · 03/08/2017 10:11

Normally it is savory stuff and cheese in particular! But right now it is a nice whippy ice cream 99 flake! I promised myself one when we were camping but not a single ice cream van was spotted the whole trip even when we went looking for one! I have some lovely salted caramel and coffee ice cream in the freezer but it's not the same!

liamell · 03/08/2017 10:12

I crave Humous at silly times of the day and night...and also corn on the cob! (with butter)

ASDismynormality · 03/08/2017 10:13

Pork scratchings, perfect combo of fat, salt and crunch!

AuFinch · 03/08/2017 10:16

fried onions - when i am cooking i end up buttering a piece of bread and having a fried onion butty - i just cant help myself and its even better if i am making gravy that goes on too. Has to be fried in coconut oil as well, none of these transfatty grain fats disguised as vegetable oil. I think i may need help! LOL

samcornfield · 03/08/2017 10:26

I crave chips and cheese

dorothymerrett · 03/08/2017 10:28

Chocolate or cake

mistlethrush · 03/08/2017 10:31

I crave chocolate - none of this milk chocolate rubbish, give me the 99% version. The only trouble with this is that I'm violently allergic to it so haven't had any for over 20 years now. Next in line is probably salted nuts - luckily I'm not allergic to those!

emilybc · 03/08/2017 10:33

Toffee Crisp. I love the mix of textures!

Theimpossiblegirl · 03/08/2017 10:34

Cheese. That's why I couldn't be vegan. Brie, stilton, mature cheddar...mmm

janeyf1 · 03/08/2017 10:40

I crave ice-cream and chocolate

shellywkd · 03/08/2017 10:48

Oh that is easy I am constantly craving Dark Chocolate. I absolutely love the stuff and can easily eat a massive bar in one go
