Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

The heel of a nutty crust loaf toasted and spread with Dromona butter. Its the simple things!!

queenoftheschoolrun · 04/08/2017 13:21

Dark chocolate for me...

dannydog1 · 04/08/2017 13:23

Cheese and crackers. Once I've thought about them I have to have!

jinglehells · 04/08/2017 13:27

Cake of any sort but especially jam and buttercream sponge.

Tigerlily13 · 04/08/2017 13:32

Cake! And if I have none in I rustle up a mug cake, with lemon icing. Nom!

tonibolt · 04/08/2017 13:54

Cake - I really try and keep it for the occasional treat, but I love to bake, and eat it more often than I should

kazzyp59 · 04/08/2017 14:12

it would have to be my mums steak and kidney pudding, with thick gravy, crispy chips and gardens peas. followed by home made apple pie and custard

molly57 · 04/08/2017 14:25

I crave savoury food.

Amanduh · 04/08/2017 14:27

Chocolate. In any and many forms. When I fancy something savoury it's usually prawn cocktail crisps... or a salad with cripsy onion and bacon bits. I could eat the onion and bacon bits on their own all day long! That's weird, I know. Oh and brownies! Gooey, lovely brownies...

AMfq · 04/08/2017 15:01

Chocolate! And fruit! Just by themselves, nothing fancy 🤤

JS06 · 04/08/2017 15:01

I crave Twiglets and Marmite crisps sometimes, I think it's the rich saltiness which gets to me. I hate to share though which is absolutely awful too!

JakeChambers · 04/08/2017 15:05

Warm cheese scones with butter. Yum. Also, Pepperami lately.

Belo · 04/08/2017 15:09

I crave....

When I wake up - pain au chocolat
Mid morning - a flapjack
With my lunch - a diet coke
After lunch - a biscuit
After work - salt and vinegar crisps
With my dinner - a glass of wine
After dinner - a peice of chocolate.
Before bed - hot chocolate (with a brandy in it)

I spend the whole day trying not to give in to my cravings....

I love my 13 year old stepsons chilli chocolate cheesecake with salted Caramel, for a 13 year old he is absolutely amazing at making sweet treats

janney3 · 04/08/2017 15:17

Fresh anchovies, love them so much.

sylwright · 04/08/2017 15:19

Chocolate is one of the things I crave quite a lot but one thing I can't resist are plain scones warm from the oven. Mmmm.

WowOoo · 04/08/2017 15:20

It changes all the time. It has been manchego cheese recently. Before that I craved tomato flavour crisps.

pestov · 04/08/2017 15:21

I've recently been craving whole milk - helpfully 18 month old DD needs it so always have plenty in to make lovely white sauces for fish and pasta or just a nice glass of the cold stuff. It's just so creamy and satisfying!

NouveauBitch · 04/08/2017 15:22

For me it's always marmite toast. Sometimes with cheese added but more often unadulterated. It hits that savoury craving like nothing else.

JennyOnAPlate · 04/08/2017 15:22

My husbands homemade brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I'm drooling at the thought!!

daisyboo1 · 04/08/2017 15:24

Granary bread with (too much) butter.

CrieffBobsledTeam · 04/08/2017 15:27

I crave bakery products. If I'm feeling hungry I try to eat fruit, drink water, all the things you're supposed to do, but usually I'm not satisfied until I've had some good bread or a piece of cake! When I lived in France I passed a bakery on the way to work and I used to spend all day dreaming of what I would choose on the way home!

TeddyIsaHe · 04/08/2017 15:30

Cheese. Little Parmesan cheesy biscuits made with butter are my all time favourite thing. Quick to whip up and are delicious. Also grilled cheese with fresh tomato and olives. Blue cheese on fruited toast. Fried halloumi with lemon and butter. Brie and grape sandwiches. Or just hunks of cheese and no crackers. I really love cheese

constancef · 04/08/2017 15:37

Oh I miss bubbling cheese on toast and all the other combinations of milk and wheat the doctor has banned me from eating. Still looking for something dairy and gluten free that I can crave.

Sarah3kids · 04/08/2017 15:39

Pancakes - large batch. Eat some & put some in the fridge for later - If kids don't get their first!! Great cold with strawberry jam xx
