Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Cheese and onion

Roseformeplease · 03/08/2017 14:27

I crave different things at different times:

Sometimes cheese, usually strong cheddar with Branston pickle - giving cheesy, sour and sweet.

I love and crave chocolate - the darker the better.

Also, home comfort type foods: porridge, shepherd's pie, macaroni cheese.

The book sounds great and we loved Martha on GBBO. Will add it to my birthday list!

I have a very sweet tooth - fudge is one of my favourite sweets and I also love meringues that are still squidgy in the middle! Probably my main savoury craving is salted or dry roasted peanuts!

littleme96 · 03/08/2017 15:22

Pizza and cheesecake.

gd2011 · 03/08/2017 15:24

Doughnuts.

cheekychicken24 · 03/08/2017 15:29

Toasted teacakes for me - a bit odd, but probably a happy childhood memory, so a real comfort food.

I make my own now - quite small, so not horrendously fattening. I slice them in half, then freeze in singles, and I can toast from frozen.

Better than having to drive to Sainsburys and buy a six pack! Plus no danger of eating six at once Blush Blush Blush

Home baked bread with butter

emmmaaa26 · 03/08/2017 15:43

Nuts... I love nuts.

BlueNile57 · 03/08/2017 15:44

My weakness is butter tablet. Bad for my teeth and bad for my figure lol but ohh so yummy. Fortunately its too much of a faff to make and I don't get to visit Thorntons or Scotland regularly so my temptations are limited!

tabbaz123 · 03/08/2017 15:46

I think with me, and many others I believe if we are to be honest, we crave what we can't have ! All through my pregnancy I craved Pate on toast the one big no no lol - I often say to my husband I fancy Ice-cream when there isn't any in the freezer etc - However, I do not normally have cravings and I have not got a sweet tooth, on the contrary I usually opt out of choice for savoury food so when I crave sweet things I convince myself that my sugar levels are low

brownhandbag · 03/08/2017 15:49

I have an unhealthy addiction to spicy salsa. I love a good pile of nachos with loads of cheese and salsa on Grin

Imnotapenguin · 03/08/2017 16:01

Meringue with strawberries and proper vanilla ice cream.

cluckyhen · 03/08/2017 16:05

Beetroot! I love it!

asuwere · 03/08/2017 16:09

I crave mashed potato - could eat it any time. I try not to have frozen mash in as it's just a bit too easy to make :)

alabaster002 · 03/08/2017 17:29

Cheese - all types, all flavours, all my life!

ShatnersBassoon · 03/08/2017 17:33

OhWifey · 03/08/2017 19:04

Milk. Cold, fresh, semi skimmed cow's milk. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with considering where my next milk is coming from. Am pregnant. Hope this passes soon!

Non pregnant is usually grapefruit. Pink and with no adornment. I just wish they weren't such a faff to prepare!
