Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Sorry to be predictable but it's chocolate all the way! Great competition thanks for the chance to win such a great prize.

i have a huge sweet tooth but for some reasons I only ever crave savoury stuff. I get massive sushi cravings from time to time, which is a real pain because the supermarket type won't do at all, it has to be the real freshly made thing. Preferably sashimi with a miso soup. I do a sushi binge from time to time and it calms me down for a while. I also get shawarma cravings, but I want the quality, slowly grilled meat type so I am often disappointed when the taste is not up to my expectations.

Mine is also ice cream but not just any ice cream. I could be in the grip of the worst craving ever and a flavour like chocolate or strawberry would do nothing for me, nor would a bog standard ice cream. It has to be something lovely like Haagen Dazs and always a flavour that is caramel-ish or nutty. Pralines and cream is the best

cocochips · 06/08/2017 16:52

Chocolate

Rachdayan · 06/08/2017 17:56

Always cheese

ClashCityRocker · 06/08/2017 18:07

A croque monsieur. Specifically the delightfully cheesy mustardy oozy ones our local cafe used to do but have since stopped.

SouthWestmom · 06/08/2017 18:13

I very rarely crave food as I'm not really interested in it but sometimes I really really want salty crisps dipped in soft cheese. It's like some cheesy salty gift.

MargoChanning · 06/08/2017 18:41

Ooh I crave lots of things! At the moment, it's salted caramel ice cream which is the food of the gods. Other times, it's mini cheddars. I have been cursed blessed with both a sweet and savoury tooth Grin

Cheese and peanut butter toasties after a half day at work, they stick to the roof of your mouth, but so good. 😀

Pigeonpea · 06/08/2017 21:09

Millionaire's shortbread - every time!!!

mazgoli · 06/08/2017 21:28

Chocolate, always chocolate. But, I also like something savoury with the chocolate sometimes. A packet of crisps perhaps, or a piece of cheese.

claza93 · 06/08/2017 21:53

Cakes! Especially my mums home made fruit cake 😋

nerysw · 07/08/2017 07:19

It's a close run thing between cake and crisps but crisps just about win. Especially Smoky Bacon flavour.

lesley37 · 07/08/2017 08:59

Savory things, especially cheese, the more mature the better and garlic bread.

likethemapples · 07/08/2017 09:28

Oooh salty chilli and garlic edamame beans. The beans are just a delivery mechanism for the salt, chilli and garlic.

cookiemonster66 · 07/08/2017 12:27

chocolate - its always chocolate, I went cold turkey for a month and got so bad I was even sniffing wrappers of chocolate bars in shops to get a 'fix' so is my craving for sure!

flutterbean · 07/08/2017 12:40

Camembert, there is nothing better than a baked Camembert with crispy bacon bits on the top. Yum!

susiesioux · 07/08/2017 15:31

My craving is for bovril spread on warm buttered toast. Ultimate. O fort food for me

EthelMerman · 07/08/2017 19:05

Currently it would be Eccles cakes. Or if something savoury then an onion bagel with smoked salmon, Philadelphia cheese and some dill mustard.

And chocolate - Lindt preferably Blush

sweir1 · 07/08/2017 19:56

Bread and strawberry jam

HelenSw4les · 07/08/2017 20:44

I have been craving coconut mushrooms lately; the sweets not the actual vegetable; but they're so hard to find. When I do find them I buy about 10 bags at a time; I do get some funny looks but I have to have some in at home for those emergency moments haha.

Topsyturvy01 · 07/08/2017 20:57

Definitely got to be cheesecake

rhinosuze · 07/08/2017 21:24

Crisps, constantly!!!!

jhm3jls · 07/08/2017 21:59

Chocolate crunch that I used to have everyday at lunch at school!

sc00ter · 07/08/2017 22:52

Always salty and sweet popcorn, love it :)
