Whether you've got a sweet or savoury tooth, we all know what it's like to really fancy a little (or large) bit of something. GBBO contestant Martha Collison's new book Crave is about just that - and we're asking you to share your cravings below for a chance to win.

We all know the feeling. What starts as an insignificant little niggle which grows into a demanding full-on craving. The kind that drags you out of bed in the middle of the night on a search for cheese, or causes you to break away from your desk in a desperate hunt for chocolate.

Crave is the second book from Sunday Times bestselling author and Great British Bake Off contestant, Martha Collison. Using inspired food science and delicious cuisine combinations, she provides go-to recipes incorporating eight flavours we so often find ourselves hankering for: chocolate, cheese, caramel, citrus, fruit, nut, spice – and alcohol!

These include ‘Instant’ recipes like lemon cheesecake pots, ‘Soon’ recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour, such as chilli chocolate churros, and you’ll also find ‘Worth the Wait’ recipes, which really are what they say on the tin... Creative, inspiring and imaginative, these are the recipes you just have to have.

For the first time since the introduction of the original Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 1936, KitchenAid has launched a mini version of its iconic culinary workhorse. The KitchenAid MINI Stand Mixer, is 20% smaller and 25% lighter with a 3.3 litre bowl - perfect for smaller batch lifestyles!

To be in with a chance of winning a copy of the book plus a KitchenAid MINI stand mixer (worth £449) just tell us: what food or flavours do you crave most? Feel free to give examples of the ways you satisfy them e.g. what meals - even the more weird and wonderful ones!

Crave is out on 27 July - buy the book from Amazon for £16.99

*KitchenAid MINI stand mixer colour will be pink

Cheese. Of all types.

teddygirlonce · 05/08/2017 11:22

Marmite on buttered toast - yum! Oh and cheesy mashed potato.

The simple things are best Wink!

crusosa · 05/08/2017 11:24

I crave of sweets mostly. Chocolates, desserts, cakes, you name it.

pongopig · 05/08/2017 11:24

Ice cream - I always have at least one tub in the freezer.

ItsNachoCheese · 05/08/2017 11:29

I love nachos with lots of salsa and cheese. Also chips and cheese is lush. Have a thing for ice cream too, white chocolate and coconut is my favourite

KatrinaOliver · 05/08/2017 11:32

Anything cheesy, crisps- particularly salt and vinegar- and salads with unhealthy dressings!

IdentifiesAsASloth · 05/08/2017 11:32

Drooling my way through this thread 🤤
I crave spicy, sweet and sour food. I love the M&S spicy Asian broth, hits the spot so nicely!

sympatico1 · 05/08/2017 11:53

Crisps - preferably cheese and onion, (but definitely NOT salt and vinegar or prawn cocktail!)

frag69 · 05/08/2017 11:55

At the moment Jaffa Cakes, lol off to scoff some more

SoPassRemarkable · 05/08/2017 11:58

Sadly it's pretty much always chocolate. Total sugar addiction. So I eat healthy salads, go to the gym everyday and scupper it all with chocolate!

ataraxia · 05/08/2017 12:23

I tend to crave a certain food group or texture more than specific foods - often carbs - could variously be satisfied by a chewy cookie, cake, crumble, pasta or toast. Often tends towards the sweet spectrum so I keep carrots around when I know I'm not really hungry.

White chocolate and custard are my favourite flavours.

DonaldTrumpsTrump · 05/08/2017 12:23

Also chocolate for me. When I was younger I used to buy the cheap 25p big bars in asda and stick them under the hand dryer in the toilets so I would have melted chocolate Blush

Mumround2 · 05/08/2017 12:24

Hi, Best ever investment was a pancake hotplate. Kids make own with cheese or sugar or icecream/ crème fraîche with zapped fruit and a dollop of maple syurup etc etc . Trouble is I can't keep away!

MTBMummy · 05/08/2017 12:32

Thank you for this thread - they're a little flat due to both DC's needing to have a turn to work the dough, but still yum.

I crave many things. With apologies to Rodgers and Hammerstein:

Rich lemon posset
And dark chocolate truffles
Fresh baked Camembert
With crunchy French baguette
Gooey dark brownies with cherries and nuts
These are a few of my favourite craves

When I feel bad or a bit sad
Or even feel bored
I simply eat all of my favourite craves
Until I feel quite gorged!

AnnieWall27 · 05/08/2017 13:38

I love sweet, gooey, oozy foods like molten chocolate brownies and devil's food cake. To stem madly sweet tooth i do make raw cakes too using dates for caramel and loads of coconut oil and ground almonds to help with the consistency.

Lydia30 · 05/08/2017 13:43

Primula cheese & cream crackers, this is a new occurrence as I've never liked primula cheese before

webster147 · 05/08/2017 13:56

The flavour I crave the most is almond, I usually satisfy this craving with a Bakewell tart. If I see anything described as having an almond in it then I have to try it.

snapple21 · 05/08/2017 14:00

Real salty butter on toast

Pizza

Crisps

Cake

Everything bad for me!

giddyypixie · 05/08/2017 17:18

I have a sweet (more specifically, chocolate) tooth so it always is chocolate or some variation of chocolate!

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 05/08/2017 17:20

Anything containing cooked fruits or fruit curds. Crumbles, pies, tarts, cakes... Just fruits!

HopefulHamster · 05/08/2017 17:35

Boringly, it's always chocolate for me. Although I had to be egg and dairy free while breastfeeding my baby recently and then all I could think about was poached eggs.

allsorts4444 · 05/08/2017 18:51

Cornflakes and cold milk

amypanth · 05/08/2017 18:57

I crave cheese. I will try and add cheese to every meal. However porridge and cheese don't go I know!!

laurac1987 · 05/08/2017 20:18

I am a real meat person, so I am always craving steak or lamb!
