Paul Finch, the no.1 bestselling author of Hunted and Stalkers, has written an even darker thriller. PC Lucy Clayburn has to delve into the criminal underworld to track down a brutal serial killer, but she's about to discover that going undercover is the most dangerous work there is.

Thanks for my copy of this book!
I loved it and can't wait to read more of Paul Finch's novels.

Such a great plot and brilliantly constructed would recommend to all

FeelingSmurfy · 15/11/2016 23:13

I enjoyed this book and it actually managed to keep me guessing, which is rare! I think it would be good to see a sequel to this in the future, fingers crossed!

jonniesmum · 17/11/2016 08:50

Just finished this. Dark, gritty and thoroughly addictive. Kept me up half the night.

PickledLilly · 17/11/2016 10:16

I've finally finished it, I enjoyed it, managed to read it through the night feeds so it had to be interesting enough to keep my eyes focused on! It's very much a character driven book rather than plot and I think that's the only thing which let it down slightly - it focuses on the main character and the plot about the serial killer is very secondary to that and sometimes, particularly with the ending, almost an afterthought. All in all, it was an interesting enough read.

cocochips · 20/11/2016 20:44

I am going to read it at Christmas

princesssmitheee · 20/11/2016 23:06

looks great =]

sosopurple · 20/11/2016 23:58

Really struggling with this book. I usually love crime but the writing is terrible and it's putting me off the actual storyline. I will persist as I've read other reviews on here that say it improves and will update.

katieskatie82 · 21/11/2016 23:27

i finished this book yesterday! really good read! i couldnt put it down!!

rocketriffs · 22/11/2016 09:52

Great, tense thriller, full of twists and fast paced action at every turn of the page. Hard to put down. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more books from the author Paul Finch.

Having not read any Peter Finch novels before I was gripped from the start not able to put this thriller down. Loved the plot and the character Lucy.

Candyperfumegirl · 23/11/2016 11:57

not yet, but its on my list!

cookie09 · 23/11/2016 17:44

I have to admit that this is my first novel by Paul Finch but I can assure you it won’t be my last. A serial killer whose M.O is killing men is on the loose in North West England and PC Lucy Clayburn is part of the undercover team to try and find the killer.

zombeana · 24/11/2016 09:55

love horror books and this was great, reminded me of poppy z brite. gruesome in parts!

acsec · 24/11/2016 16:55

I don't often read this genre, but I really enjoyed this. The story was a little different with the female killer. The character of Lucy was well realised and likeable and the plot made the book one I found hard to put down. I will definitely read more by Paul Finch.

wef1984 · 24/11/2016 19:29

Have only read half so far but it's very addictive, can't wait to find out what happens in the end

lphillips25 · 24/11/2016 21:22

cambridgemumof4 · 24/11/2016 22:53

I still haven't received my copy - very disappointed. I have emailed a couple of times to check progress but no news. Please could you look into it for me?

minsmum · 24/11/2016 23:08

I got my copy and read it over a couple of nights. I can see why it's a best seller, it's a real page turner . This was my first book by this author but it certainly won't be the last. I had to fight off my husband and daughter just to finish it. Thank you mumsnet and the publisher I really enjoyed it and my husband is enjoying reading it at the moment

useyourimagination · 24/11/2016 23:10

So, I've nearly finished this book (I reckon it'll be done by tomorrow night). I haven't read any other posts for fear of spoilers.

I have no idea who the killer is, even at this late stage, and I quite like Lucy as a character. However, I do think the author is trying too hard to make this book about strong women. Whatever I think the ratio of male:female police officers should be, I don't think this book is a true representation.

I am enjoying the book and I hope I'll be surprised by the ending as I'm still clueless :)

baconbap · 24/11/2016 23:23

it was gripping

clarabella12 · 25/11/2016 00:10

very gripping book absolutely loved it

Cathp808 · 25/11/2016 06:43

Dessallara · 25/11/2016 12:46

I haven't but would love to. Sounds good :)
