It was only a week or so ago.
It was one that people had been given to review and was a collection of ghost stories.

Many thanks

Have you tried looking in the Book Giveaway topic? Or the Book of the Month topic?

If you click on >Talk, those topics are both under Books.

Pipbin · 21/03/2016 23:53

Just looked through there and I can't see it.

Book reviews?

www.mumsnet.com/reviews/books

Looks like it might be like finding a needle in a haystack there if you don't know the name of the book though.

Pipbin · 21/03/2016 23:58

Exactly. That's why I posted. I was hoping someone would pop up and announce what it was.

Thank you though.

There was a book of ghost stories (The Visitors' Book by Sophie Hannah) discussed on the book boards. It was a while ago though. I got the book out of the library recently and enjoyed it- it's pretty short but the stories had good twists and I didn't find the protagonists quite as irritatingly neurotic as I usually do with SH.

Pipbin · 22/03/2016 07:23

That was the one. Thank you so much.

Not Sophie Hannah!

Don't do it OP, you'll never get that reading time back!

Clawdy · 25/03/2016 22:24

Have read it, and found it very disappointing.

I think Sophie Hannah is vastly over-rated as a fiction writer. She was a good poet though, back in the day (early 00's).
