Agree about a young Julia Roberts being Taggie - that's how I've always thought of her - and Emma Watson would be a great Fen.

The idea of Rob Lowe getting up to some of RCB's action has made me come over all unnecessary. Benedict Cumberbatch has got just the right sneeriness but isn't quite good looking enough - too quirky - but if you combined his attitude and Englishness with Rob Lowe's phenomenal attractiveness you could have a winner.

I thought Billy in the crap TV version was one of the few things they got right, RCB was awful although Michael Praed was pretty spot on as Jake.

I was spectacularly outed as a JC fan on Facebook a few months back - I posted an arty pic of the snow with the lines from the Robert Frost poem that Luke quotes in Polo - I thought I looked really cool and intellectual until my friend posted on my status that I only knew that poem because it was in a Jilly Cooper book!

I have always pictured ranaldini as Marco Pierre white for some reason. Rupert P-J as RCB and def Rufus Sewell as Jake Lovell. Rupert's dad (forgotten his name) Edward Fox. Bloody hell, i'm never going to get to sleep tonight! I'll be casting the entire 10 books

Can I join in? Am currently re-reading The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous having finished re-reading Riders, Rivals (my favourite along with Appassionata) and Polo.
