ElectricSoftParade · 27/01/2012 10:31

I HAVE POSTED IT THIS MORNING!!!

swampster · 27/01/2012 10:32

OK, here's the plan. I will send Calico's book to Piebald even though I really want to read it - I started it and it looks great. But I need a clean slate. If if makes it back to Calico perhaps I can borrow it again?

I will send MTU's Tome to dinky because she deserves to suffer.

IF I manage to locate that elusive Post Office.

dinkystinky · 27/01/2012 14:28

No, No, No Swampy - You are posting one book to ESP and one to me this time! See my 19 Jan post for the postings for the Jan swaps

I'm a stupidly fast reader (tend to finish a book in a couple of days) so if you send MTU's tome to ESP and keep hold of Calico's for another week or so then post to me that's fine

I am still feeling quite smug. This is lucky as my heating has gone poof, so it is helping to keep me warm.

swampster · 27/01/2012 18:12

Oops! So why did piebald PM me her address? Too late, I had already FOUND the blasted Post Office... Shall I send ESP something random to read?

acsec · 27/01/2012 18:49

I'm posting tomorrow.

I had Kiwijesta's book this time and really enjoyed it. It's very old fashioned in parts but that's fine. Being half Australian it appealed to me. I found it interesting that it was told from the perspective of a slightly set apart narrator recounting events that happened to the main character. I got engrossed in the story, only thing is the chapters are so long! I like to finish at the end of a chapter but had to stop in the middle of them! Posting tomorrow morning - I PM'd Afternoons to let her know.

Looking forward to my next book :)

dinkystinky · 27/01/2012 20:13

You had piebalds address from when ESP departed our loving fold - she is back in now so you post to her again not Piebald. Can you pm Piebald ESP's address and Piebald please send 1 of the 2 bks you get to ESP? ((wanders off in search of a stiff gin))

dinkystinky · 27/01/2012 20:14

That was to Swampy by the way

dinkystinky · 27/01/2012 20:51

Ops yikes ESP not a good time to loose the heating - hope you're ok and the smug hug keeps you warm!

swampster · 27/01/2012 21:10

I missed that about your heating ESP, hope you get it sorted QUICKLY! Our house is always freezing. It is old and leaky and expensive to heat. These days I think it is pretty warm if I wake up and it is 15 degrees in our bedroom!

piebald · 27/01/2012 21:28

OK does it matter whichone i send or can i keep the one i like the look of most

dinkystinky · 27/01/2012 21:31

Swampster - the bedroom in the flat we rented when doing our building works was like that! You have my sympathies. Our electric blanket was our saviour...

Piebald - either one is fine as dont think she'll have had either one yet from the clun go round...

dinkystinky · 30/01/2012 14:37

Cough cough - has everyone posted now?

piebald · 30/01/2012 16:10

I was waiting to see which book had the biggest print and they are both tiny!

swampster · 30/01/2012 19:54

Grin piebald! Grin

I have my new book. It is one DH has on the bookshelf. I have not read it yet.

I've just been revisiting [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/other_subjects/344469-recording-the-savaged-minmin-story-for-posterity
my favourite ever MN thread]] - well it is up there with The Cube Of Poo.

tillyfernackerpants · 30/01/2012 19:54

Yes Miss, I have Grin

Haribojoe · 30/01/2012 20:01

Have posted, but not received yet, am waiting excitedly Grin

musttidyupmusttidyup · 30/01/2012 20:57

Thanks swampy I've not seen that before. I laughed a lot Grin. You just know noone could make up a story like that. Grin

acsec · 30/01/2012 21:28

I have to confess - I haven't posted!! I've been so punctual in previous months, this month I haven't had a moment to get to the post office. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll get a lift to the PO in my lunchbreak. I'm hoping to collect my book from the collection office on Weds Blush [tardy emoticon]

dinkystinky · 30/01/2012 22:08

My book has arrived thanks Swampy - DH spotted it and said god that's quite a tome!
