lets start a new book thing swap, who wants to join?

Swampy is currently sitting on two books I think?

I am actually standing on them. I use them to reach things that are very high up in the back of my cupboards.

Should we make January 25th remembrance day for the books that have fallen by the wayside? We could all wear rosettes made of the MN Scarf and those lucky few who had the fortune to encounter them could say a few words about their virtues and why they will miss and remember them.....

I hope we dont have to CUT UP our MUMSNET SCARF?

Nah - a nifty bit of clever folding and bunching (put those latent origami to work) should do the trick. It'll be a poppy which is in scale for Musttidyup's book

NO ONE will want to read my book. Swampy has cruelly given it a bad bad reputation.

Yes but others on here have said they really enjoyed it - it's just with a house full of boys and a MN and kindle addiction to feed Swampy only gets 5 quiet minutes a day to read....

I finished it! To be fair to it, it improved immensely once the parasitic family members were all dead, especially the selfish-slut-of-a-sister. Though the sex scenes were quite excruciatingly painful. And this constitutes my review of MTU's book!

Posted book today (punching the air with glee that I've managed it).

Really enjoyed the book (can't remember who it's from) has got black and white cover with splash of colour IYSWIM. Was really easy to get into and I read it really quickly as was a real page turner.

Liked the fact that it was written from an unusual perspective (although if I'd been choosing the book that may have put me off) and must admit I did shed a few tears whilst reading it.

Looking forward to the next book

Ok I'm shit and have not posted yet. Will try and get it done tomorrow. Seems like ages ago I read Rufus' book. It was fine. Nice easy read, the kind of thing I like and read often. Fine, but not really anything enough to provoke any kind of reaction iyswim. Just nice. And fine. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it but maybe just a bit, as mnetters would say, meh.

Ok Musttidyup. Am still waiting for Swampy to lug your opus to the post office too (reckon she's having a rest along the way)... anyone else who hasnt posted yet, please fess up on here. If you've not received your book by early next week everyone PLEASE PM your sender to nag them. Cant have the first clun-go-round of the year fail...
