I've just signed up and got assigned the green plan. Have to say the points allowance seems quite generous so far.

I lost 2 stone last year doing the fast800, but have gained almost 1 back and just cant get my head back in the game...if I went off at it just led me to throwing in the towel and binging so I need to step away! I'm hoping to take what I've learned with me though, avoiding insulin spikes to keep hunger at bay, and white carbs and eating in a 14:10 hour window which comes naturally now.

I signed up yesterday and have spent the day and this morning finding my way around andinputting various foods to see the points allowance. Really impressed by the app so far, loving the videos and the audio for activity all included.

Anyone fancy a thread for chatting about it? I'm giving it a month initially (signed up for a free month) but will definitely continue if I'm consistently losing even small amounts. Ready for something a bit more gentle! 11stone is my first target, I'm currently 12st 4.

I have almost completed 3 weeks. Weigh in is tomorrow but in interests of this thread just weighed myself. I've lost 5 lbs in 3 weeks. I had been trying myself previously and have been alcohol free since 1st Jan - so that gave me the motivation to do seriously do WW.

I have lost with WW before about 29 years ago but gradually it all crept back on (booze didn't help)

An on Purple and really like it. Loads of free foods and I like making the recipes (amazingly).

I am trying to increase my non-existent exercise. Managing, just, to do 5K steps.

I hope I can keep motivated

I'm planning on signing up on Monday- got some baby weight to shift! I have done it before with success so hoping it will work again this time and help me get my sugar consumption back under control. Will pop back on Monday!

@Hepzibar great results well done! I went alcohol free for 3 months last year too. I felt great but not ready to try it again! Just back from an outdoor get together for my DN birthday. Had pizza slices and garlic bread and ate well into my weeklies. I guess that's what they're for, hoping because I've been "allowed" them I wont end up binging out of guilt the rest of the weekend.

Looking forward to it @MorgenMuffel Grin

I'd like a thread like this! I joined WW about two weeks ago. I'd gained about 2 stone since about autumn 2019 and most of that gain was over lockdown. I managed to lose a stone but I've stalled, and growing frustration at not being able to shift this on my own led me to joining WW. I've never done a formal diet. I spent two weeks on the green plan but I've just switched to purple in the hope that it fits my eating preferences more - I'd rather eat a lot of protein than fruit, and I'm happy with whole grains - I kept getting blood sugar drops on green. My problem isn't sweets and drinks but portion control, age and lack of exercise. I've been working from home and only going out to walk the dogs. I've given myself 6 months on WW to see if it can help me change my ways.

Hello all :) I started on 25 Feb this year. Am on purple because I can't be doing with lots of faff, so want as many 'free' foods as possible. It also means that whenever I feel hungry I can go and eat something free, irrespective of the points I have had that day. I started at 14 stone, and am now on 12stone 12, so I'm pleased with that. I'm tracking most things, and roughly stay within my daily points, but always have loads of weekly points left. I also don't use any of my fit points (I've synced the app with my fitbit). This is mainly becasue I want to have lots of points spare for when I pinch a couple of DHs chips or a bit of his chocolate, that I don't want to to have to bother working out the tracking for. I know I am lax so I have to build that in! I've had a couple of days where I've eaten double my daily allowance, because it was a meal that one of the kids had cooked for me (how can I say no!) but am happy with the way it's going, despite a few blips.

I joined WW 3 weeks ago to help shift the weight that has been creeping on over 4 years w stressful job (polished off by lockdown inactivity!)
So far it's going really well. I've lost half a stone, but more importantly I feel I've gained control over my food choices.
I'm on blue and finding it the perfect balance for me so far.
Of course I'm expecting weight loss to slow now, but that's ok. I don't feel deprived on this plan so it doesn't matter if it takes time.

Just signed back up and taken a look around- glad to see it's much the same as I remember. Was planning on starting today but life with a 2 month old is never as planned, but am ready for tomorrow. Have 41 points on blue (as I'm breastfeeding) which seems OK for now!

Will catch up on all the posts during the night feed Grin

How are you getting on @Chocolatepeanuts I’ve started this morning. I have 1.5 stone to shift. I’d be happy to drop a stone- that’s the sum total of the lockdown weight I’ve accumulated since this time last year!

I’m doing blue. I think that’s the mid range with the points. I’m going to give it three weeks and if no results I’m going to switch to purple- I think that gives you more free things.

I’d love to join a progress thread, starting this morning, 4 stone to lose and 30 dailies, 42 weekly. I’m on green plan as I work away a lot so quite often am forced to eat out!

Really happy to be starting but I must confess I’m pretty hungry today 🥲

Morning, I signed up on Saturday in an effort to lose the lockdown weight. I got a shock trying to get into clothes that more or less fitted this time last year! I’m the heaviest I’ve been at 11st3 which at 5’1” isn’t good. Hoping to drop 2st over the next 6 months.

Hi all well my first week was a wash out. I was silly really. It contained dh birthday so cake/ takeaway and a birthday at work ( wrapped biscuits brought in instead of the usual cake). I clearly have no will power! Looking to book a holiday for next summer to give me the motivation to not be Mrs blobby !

Hello! I'd like to join the thread. I'm on WW blue and love it! I did it before and lost steadily but lockdown put me off track so I meed to throw everything into getting back in the zone.

Oh goodness sorry i havent been back everyone! Had done pretty well 1st 2 weeks, definitely the way to go, slow and stead windms the race, think I lost about 4lb over the 2 weeks. Then I had a week off with the DC and we went camping and I ate all the food so clawing my way back to that. I do think its a very sustainable plan, although there were days when i made bad choices and ate well into my weeklies. My free month is almost up need to decide whether to carry on or not. Well done to everyone who started!

Stick with it chocolatepeanuts! 2lbs a week is ideal.

I am on day 2 of my second go at it having lost 19lbs the first time and really getting in the zone. Getting all my Tupperware out for food prepping and planning. Joining this thread is also part of getting back in that elusive Zone!!!

I've joined this morning, but I have form for starting plans and giving up.
Never done WW before so bit confused. I'm on blue and have 23 points. You mentioned weekly points - is that extra?
Dare I ask if this blue plan is similar to SW red days?

Hi, I joined last week. I'm on green and the points counting makes me think twice about randomly scooping up extra food. I'm finding that if I base meals on vegetables, it works well. Wine is surprisingly high but I need to change my mindset. After a year of lockdown in which I've had all the time in the world to sort it out, and numerous starts and stops low carbing, my weight has stayed exactly the same at 85kg. I want to ditch the gimmicks and just be healthy and I think WW is a good way to do that.

averywittyusername · 03/06/2021 07:48

Oh and I'm loving frozen fruit as a snack. Seems a real luxury after my previous low carbing attempts! Also.. steamed broccoli is rather delicious. Who knew 😂

Can I join in? I'm on green (though I'm having the weekend off as I'm away - joined early on a deal)

Hi @PositiveLife ! I'm on green too. I'm really loving being able to eat anything in a sensible way and still lose weight (not loads yet but going in the right direction). I'd convinced myself that I was too carb sensitive to eat fruit but am loving having a bowl of frozen banana chunks in the evening, better than ice cream!

I'm totally convinced that this is the way to go. No more fads, sensible and healthy approach. And much less wine 😭 at 5 points a glass!

I'm pretty pleased so far. I'm eating far more fruit and veg than before. Not feeling hungry either. Blood results came back as low vitamin D so hopefully that will help me too as I've been so tired.
I've made a big tub of chopped cauliflower and having everything with cauliflower rice - just adding other veg in. Makes for quick meals and I'm trying to make enough so I have leftovers for lunch
