Oh and don't forget to keep up with the exercise lovely boosters. I did a dog walk (not as long as I'd like due to dogs in fur coats and no shoes in the heat) and a sweaty exercise routine (not usually difficult but definitely harder in this heat).

I couldn't face the Room of Doom and Gloom yesterday so I'll hopefully carry on with that today, ugh!

Oh dear.

Had my first plateau week.

Exactly the same as this time last week, 92.2kg.

However.

I've not logged everything I've eaten.

I had about three times my normal alcohol levels (damn you DH and your delicious cocktails).

It was DS's 3rd birthday. So I had to make cake for 4 gatherings. And I had to eat some each time...

And there was a BBQ.

Oh well.

I'll start boosting today.

Salad, water and maybe an omelette.

Theredjellybean · 14/06/2023 11:27

I did badly yesterday...bread and then out for curry with Friend I haven't seen for months
Oh well...couldn't get on scales this morning...
Will try harder today

Zebracat · 14/06/2023 12:00

@Vebrithien . I don’t know if I’ve ever not gained on a birthday week, so to stay the same was actually very good.
I ended yesterday under my calories for the first time in ages. And I woke up with lots of energy. Been cleaning the house. My old dog is sick again, it’s a displacement activity. I want to do some gardening but he’s following me around and I want him to stay cool so here we are. Just sorted the shoes under the stairs!
keep boosting fellow ex failures.

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 14/06/2023 17:18

Big client meeting at work today so of course there's loads of lovely Waitrose sandwiches and cakes left over, which in the past I would have snaffled but not today!

Managed to complete the full week 4 of C25K yesterday but did struggle so will repeat it I think before moving on. Not tonight though as taking the dog for a long walk in the woods after dinner.

Food wise - I've been really good, sticking within my daily calorie allowance and actually I'm not finding it too bad.

I think I'm finally in the zone - well, for now anyway 🙂

TalkToTheHand123 · 14/06/2023 18:14

Hi all. I thought I was clever buying non meat sausages and burgers, but then read about them being ultra processed so after I finish polishing them off I'm going to eat better, especially after viewing myself in a lift and bathroom mirror recently.

poorpaws · 14/06/2023 18:24

@TalkToTheHand123 always close your eyes or look at the floor when you're in a lift and NEVER look in a bathroom mirror. These rules serve me well.

@MrJollyLivesNextDoor you're doing so well, keep up the good work.

Day 3 and I'm in the danger zone between 6 - 9pm. I've eaten dinner, can't have my usual snacks and I'm already hungry so I'm off to make porridge.

Keep on boosters.

So I've stayed on track but the calories don't seem to be going as far they were yesterday. I'm still peckish and only have 100 left. I might go shopping for some cooler work clothes to get me through the week to avoid eating.

Gigi789 · 14/06/2023 19:27

Been v good today! Except not enough water so I’ll have a few glasses before bed. Busy busy day at work didn’t finish till after 6 then shopping and was sooo good, no naughties so just had my rice salad at lunch and will have a sensible dinner. No exercise AGAIN but i’m sweating buckets so hopefully that will use some calories haha! Well done those who have been good on boost week 👍

TalkToTheHand123 · 14/06/2023 21:46

Aww @poorpaws , sounds like good advice, however for me it seems to shock me into action.

Vebrithien · 14/06/2023 21:51

Salad (lettuce, celery, cucumber, tomatoes, brined olives and soy roasted sesame seeds)

Pan roasted broccoli and pepper and shallot 2 egg omelette.

Several black coffees and 2 cans of Pepsi Max.

Am under my daily calories allowance.

Did 25 mins running this morning. Only about 3k, but happy.

Night night all.

poorpaws · 15/06/2023 07:40

Good morning everyone,

Day 4 and nearly halfway through boost week!

I had a good day yesterday, but a very difficult evening. I was hungry and craving the granola bar in the cupboard which kept shouting my name. I knew I'd be cross with myself today if I ate it so I had a small bowl of Shreddies and went to bed early. Do you know what, it felt great this morning that I didn't give in last night. If only I could live every evening like that.

Have a lovely day in the sunshine everyone, and to the boosters, keep boosting.

Good Morning. I ended under calories, but by accident more than design . Old dog now very sick indeed. His back legs are going and he’s becoming incontinent, which when combined with d&v is very grim indeed. I’m sitting with him and all plans are off really. 😢

Gigi789 · 15/06/2023 10:43

@Zebracat oh no! Poor dog (and you) it’s so hard isn’t it? The prolonged hot spell is so tough on oldies too 😞

poorpaws · 15/06/2023 11:01

@Zebracat I'm so so sorry for old dog and you (I have an old one too). I hope he/she perks up soon, it's devastating when they're old. Sending you strength and a hug and I'll be thinking of you today.

poorpaws · 15/06/2023 11:02

@poorpaws tonight when gets snacky cravings.. remember you did it last night ..you can do it again. Maybe each night have one less shreddie in the bowl ?

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 15/06/2023 13:06

@Zebracat sorry about your doggo being sick, it must be really hard on you

Zebracat · 15/06/2023 17:57

Thanks all. We have had to have him put to sleep. He was a fabulous standard poodle and I am so glad to have had him. we gave him a good life and I know that’s what is important. But it is very painful.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/06/2023 20:31

@Zebracat so sorry to hear about your handsome old boy 🌸 🐾

poorpaws · 15/06/2023 20:42

Oh @Zebracat I'm so very sorry for you and the family. He was so handsome. As you said you gave him a good life and he will stay in your heart for ever.

I'm going to have to go through this at some point this year so it's really hit me tonight. Sending you much love.

OP posts:
Gigi789 · 15/06/2023 21:26

@Zebracat so so sorry, he looks so handsome - like a teddy bear coat 😔 we’ve always had dogs, 2 currently and I dread the day when they go. I always say no more and then another pair of brown eyes gets me every time… 💔

Vebrithien · 16/06/2023 06:42

@Zebracat I am so, so sorry to hear your sad news.

Zebracat · 16/06/2023 07:50

Thanks all. Starting to feel better today. We were too upset to cook yesterday and then got hungry late and had fish finger sandwiches and banana splits. Not very boost week, but good comfort food. I’ll try to get back on track today.
