All welcome, whether you are ttc or not, lets try not to take ourselves too seriously,

however

I have 2 stones to lose, I really need support to stop eating crap.

And you are???....

Loujalou · 29/05/2010 18:46

Louja need to lose a stone. Then I will be happy.

gailforce1 · 29/05/2010 19:37

Gailforce needs to lose 2 stone also! Doubt I will ever be carrying babies but would be good to be able to carry a size 16 dress!!
Sooooo, how are we going to start?

liahgen66 · 29/05/2010 20:30

well tonight's a bit of a write off cos missed dinner, so am now having cereal and have asked dh to bring home chips and mushy peas.

My down fall is chocolate, cakes, and coffees, (ooh, i'll just have a muffin with that)

so as it is half term, won't be taking herds of kids to costa so will avoid coffee and cake scenario

No chocolate in the evenings, am gonna stock up on fresh fruit and crunchy veg.

Aim to power walk for half hour daily.

gailforce1 · 29/05/2010 21:17

What about trying to lose half a stone at a time rather than focusing on 2 stone (or whatever amount)?

Tonight is a write off for me as well - cheese and biscuits and creme caramel!! Also eaten chocolate (really dark with raspberries in, delish!).

I walk a mile a day up a very steep hill, could'nt make it to the top without stopping when I started but can do the whole mile in one go now, so thinking that I shouild try doing it twice!

TIP - drink 2 litres of water every day, helps fill you up and you increase your exercise by all the extra trips to the loo!!

liahgen66 · 29/05/2010 22:10

excellent idea, lets break it up into managable bits.

fizzyme · 29/05/2010 22:17

I take my son swimming twice a week hes only 5 months old and cant swim to I basically hold him or bounce him in the water (18lbs) and jog laps through the water (if I walk he cries as he likes to go fast) - the weight is dropping off and becuase hes so hefty my arms are getting toned too.

LadyBee · 29/05/2010 22:25

right, ok, I'm joining up. Haven't quite worked out what my goal is but will come up with something and the confess it to you all. But it will involve losing weight and trying to get pg and generally cleaning up my act.

Fairygodmother1 · 29/05/2010 23:08

I'm here, I'm here... What have I missed????

I need to lose at least a stone to get to BMI 29 - I'm going total low GI & upping my exercise!!!

Loujalou · 30/05/2010 08:42

Well I want to go to the gym twice a week as I also have a bikini to fit in come September.

I was thinking of trying weight watchers or maybe splashing out and getting a personal trainer they do some reasonably priced ones at the gym....

I am crap at diets but did low carb (my own version) before I got married combined with gym and I lost loads of weight.

Fairy fancy seeing you here!

owlets · 30/05/2010 10:10

Can I join too?
I want to lose about another 1 1/2 stone. I've already lost 1/2stone.
I'm cutting down on carbs, especially bread as they really trigger over eating. Also increasing exercise.
Not TTC yet, just wanting to get healthier and happier.

fizzyme · 30/05/2010 10:13

Lol LadyBee - the good intention is there and thats the main thing!

I forgot to mention - its my local gym that I take my son swimming to its free to take under 2's if your a member - so I get to work out on weekends when hubby can muck in. It works out cheaper paying for membership there than it did taking my son to a different pool.

ClaireDeLoon · 30/05/2010 10:17

Hello all, me too. Was 4 stone overweight, managed to shift 10lbs of it so far. First aim is to get my BMI to under 30, think I have about 20lbs to lose to get to that.

Willabywallaby · 30/05/2010 10:17

Hello! I have at least a stone to lose, planning to start the gym regularly and need to start calorie counting/ weightwatchers

gailforce1 · 30/05/2010 11:19

OK..you have all motivated me!! Three mile walk in the park this morning, breakfast porridge made with water with a couple of sliced bananas!!
Current weight 15st (there I've told you all so no going back now!!) and need to 2 to 2.5 stone. Going to concentrate on losing half a stone at a time.
Going into town to M&S where I picked up 2 t shirts in what I thought were size 20. Got home to find one was a size 10!! Will never be a size 10 if I dieted for the next 10yrs!My treat will be a nice coffee somewhere.
How is everyone else this morning? Any good intentions?
Lia how are you?

Fairygodmother1 · 30/05/2010 15:59

Afternoon,

I started the day with a fruit smoothy, had Mediterranean veg & smoked haddock for lunch, wholemeal pittas & hummus planned for tea. Need to have a healthy snack in a bit.
Spent most of the day washing & ironing. Feel shattered!

How's everyone else doing???

xx

liahgen66 · 30/05/2010 17:33

well i've been good so far, coffee this morning at car boot but was disgusting so it went straight in bin.

Lia Muffins are fine as long as they are fruit based ones apparently! xxx

Loujalou · 30/05/2010 21:08

Are fruit based ones classed as one of the 5 a day Fairy??

Fairygodmother1 · 30/05/2010 21:31

owlets · 31/05/2010 09:55

Morning!
Well, after declaring myself as a low-carber yesterday, I had a very carb heavy day. ('good' carbs though, so maybe not too bad?)
Was very good and had no roast pots or yorkshire with my roast dinner.
Have had 2 poached eggs for breakfast today. Not sure about other meals yet. Probably fish or chicken for dinner though.

Going to weigh myself every Monday. Today: 11st5lb. lost in total 9lbs.

How is everyone getting on?

gailforce1 · 01/06/2010 18:15

Owlets Wow you're off to a great start 9lbs!! Have never got my head around low carbing but if I plateau I might try it and will def be asking for your advice!
I've been doing low fat with the odd treat to keep me going! Have lost 2.5st but has taken me a year and still have 2st to go!!
Walked a mile yesterday but now back from work and pouring with rain so day off exercise today and will go tomorrow.

Liahgen how are you getting on? Any bargains at the boot fair?

Hope everyone has had a good day...please keep reporting back and if you need motivation I'm sure we can provide some!

Fairygodmother1 · 01/06/2010 20:08

Loujalou · 03/06/2010 08:48

Right how are you all doing?

Am doing pants but managed to avoid a ice cream yesterday despite the nice weather. Also took my monkey out for a walk.

liahgen66 · 03/06/2010 09:56

ok, Not been so great this week, dh brought home chocolate and discovered galaxy counters in sainsburys this week. Yumm, had those when I was a kid. Not sure I should have eaten the whole packet though, they only come in family size.

however We have been invited to me x step daughter's 21st In July so have to make a big effort. Ex H will be there, and so will his partner who hates me so I have to be at least one sz smaller. 9th July, so Have to be a comfortable sz 14, (am 16 top at mo) at least.

Just what I needed, an incentive.

good luck everyone else. Car boot was rubbish btw, too many dealers.

I'm doing ok, even at BBQ this evening I made sure that although I ate the food I didn't over indulge! Usual smoothie & wii this morning plus cleaned all the windows & external doors & washed curtains!

How's everyone else doing?
