Well, most some of you have been doing a lot better than me. (Me being BIWI - sorry haven't changed back from my MasterChef name). I've tried to hide away in a hole, but am evidently not allowed.

So.

From Monday, there are 6 weeks until the end of May.

I'm going to be celebrating my best friend's 25th wedding anniversary at the late May bank holiday, so need to really shift some weight to be able to buy myself a new dress - it's a black tie dinner.

I'm starting afresh as I've been really badly behaved.

The rest of you saints good people can continue with your indexed weight loss if you like!

So add yourself to the list if you want to join. If you're a new atarter, you start with 100, and lose a point for every pound you lose.

If you're really good, you should be aiming to drop 12 pounds over the next 6 weeks, on the basis of an average weight loss of 2lbs per week.

From Monday then:

ooh me me, i fell off the wagon for the first time today so need to get right back on otherwise i'm doomed!! started low-carbing 3.5 weeks ago. hopefully with better weather i'll be able to exercise more, too.

i would like to join in please? its my first time trying to lose weight. i am 5 feet 8 inches and 10 stone 8lbs. my BMI is 22.5. i would like to get back down to my usual weight of 9 and a half stone and tone up aswell. so here i am 100 points. need tips on how to do it as i have never dieted before

cherrymonster, most of us are doing some form of low carb dieting. There's (new) Atkins, which is a bit more sensible than the old version, or the Idiot Proof Diet, as recommendations. IDP is best if you buy the book, really. It's pretty cheap on Amazon. But they all follow the same principle. You bin your intake of "bad" carbohydrates (sweets, cakes, white flour, fizzy drinks etc.,) and increase veg and protein and fat for the first two weeks, before widening out your options. Welcome to everyone. And welcome back to myself, as I have been conspicuous by my own absence!

I'm on a fairly hard core 3 days, to get myself back on the low carb track. I have 6 1/2 weeks before I have a black tie dinner to celebrate my best friend's 25th wedding anniversary, for which I need to buy something to wear. There's no way I'm shelling out to buy something for my current size, so I'm aiming to be as disciplined as I can and hopefully lose at least half a stone in the next few weeks. If I could manage 2lbs per week that would be even better.

I'm still here, haven't weighed for about 10 days though.
I've been trying on the same pair of trousers since Jan hoping they fit and they very very nearly do. Yaay!

No bread, rice, pasta or potatoes still. I am eating cake /treats like chocolate 3-4 times a week, still can't give it up (oops)

I have discovered sandwich fillers from tesco etc! I have a half bag of salad, half cucumber, 2 celery sticks, oil, vinegar and lemon juice with fresh black pepper.....then i add half a box of sandwich filler and taadaa!! Yummy lunch!!

Hello, I'm desperate to lose weight and tone up so have added myself to the list Love the points rather than actual weight!

I've been trying on and off all year to get motivated...and at last it's happened. I weighed myself on Sunday in Boots, also told me fat % so it freaked me out enough to kick start the 'new me'! For the last 3 days I've been very good. Kind-of low carbing, definately no carbs with evening meal, and no snacking after dinner, so having very early nights to keep me from the kitchen cupboards! Also I started running Tues so doing that 3 mornings a week, as well as increasing walking and trying to fit some exercise dvd's in However, with a 10month old and a 2yr old climbing all over me whilst I attempt to copy Davina it's not really happening yet .

Hello What gorgeous weather we're having. Great for running, which I've stuck to and went for 3rd run this morning! It's really motivating me to eat better, although I had a couple of glasses of champagne, an indian and an ice-cream on the weekend But I've still lost 3points so obviously the exercise has paid off

As well as the running, I've also been swimming once, managed to fit 1 dvd workout in and lots of walking. I WILL KEEP IT UP!! Hope you're all having a great weekend. HinnyPet I've updated you

Hello - hope everyone is doing well or about to do well!

That sounds great mamasunshine - it's so much nicer to exercise when the sun is out; gives you a bit of a boost.

I've felt a bit impatient as I feel my weight loss has slowed down, but when I really looked at it, it hasn't really - it's just not as dramatic as at the beginning. it's still around 2lbs a week, (or a 1lb sometimes) and I've been - not exactly cheating - but a bit lax on occassion, the odd bit of rice here and there, or picking at the kids pasta...
...So I'm going to try and get a bit stricter, I think. Do not want to start on that slippery slope.
We're going to South of France at beginning of July and I want my very glamorous and soigné SiL's and MiL (DH is French) to notice the change!

I did a sneaky pre weekend weigh-in and it's telling me that I'm down to 58 - woo hoo! That's 3 whole stone since Jan. Still got a way to go, but I am going to do it.
