Well, most some of you have been doing a lot better than me. (Me being BIWI - sorry haven't changed back from my MasterChef name). I've tried to hide away in a hole, but am evidently not allowed.

So.

From Monday, there are 6 weeks until the end of May.

I'm going to be celebrating my best friend's 25th wedding anniversary at the late May bank holiday, so need to really shift some weight to be able to buy myself a new dress - it's a black tie dinner.

I'm starting afresh as I've been really badly behaved.

The rest of you saints good people can continue with your indexed weight loss if you like!

So add yourself to the list if you want to join. If you're a new atarter, you start with 100, and lose a point for every pound you lose.

If you're really good, you should be aiming to drop 12 pounds over the next 6 weeks, on the basis of an average weight loss of 2lbs per week.

From Monday then:

Have a fabulous holiday, mamasunshine. Sounds v. active!

Weighed this morning and am at 57.

Got a feeling this week is going to be a bit tricky. My brain keeps trying to sabotage me . I think this is where the really hard work begins - the buzz of losing is still there, but it's not as stimulating/motivating and I'm getting a bit bored.

And, when does this 'loving to exercise' bit, kick in? It's such a bloody chore.

mummymels · 29/04/2010 09:31

Hi, hows everyone doing? For some reason all my saved threads seem to have disappeared so I'm having to look for them again. Has anyone else had that problem? Thankfully I found you all on the shiny new thread.

I've had a bit of a migraine and tummy upset this week. Feeling much better now but tummy still a little bit funny.

HinnyPet · 29/04/2010 20:13

Hi Mummymels,
I've had same problem as you, annoying isnt it!

mummymels · 29/04/2010 23:32

Yes very annoying HinnyPet but pleased it's not only me as I wondered if something on my computer was causing it. I hope they sort it soon.

How are you anyway?

HinnyPet · 02/05/2010 22:36

I'm fine Mummymels! Is yours working now?

I've discovered that drinking alcohol on lowcarb diets doesn't work.
I had 3 glasses of wine and one vodka diet coke and today I feel bloody awful, (when I could go out on the hoy all day and all night)
I've been on and off the loo all bloody day today too!!
however! I have weighed myself and I'm now 11st 1lb from 13st 7lb..... I am so very nearly there to my target of 10st 7lb!
Weight loss has really slowed, down a pound every 10 days or so. I guess if I stop eating cake it would go faster but I think my sugar addiction is out of control

how's everybody else?

mummymels · 04/05/2010 23:10

No Hinny, I still don't have my saved threads. I have tried saving them again but they won't save anymore.

That's brilliant that you are so near your goal now. My weight loss has really slowed down not too. It can be a bit frustrating can't it although I am pleased with how much I have lost already and you should be too.

I had a bit of a pig out this weekend. I think I must have been rebelling against dieting for so long! It was MIL's 70th birthday too. Oh well, back to it this week!

Today was the first day I dared to get on the scales in weeks, because I've been on/off/on/off the low carb wagon. But I've managed to hold my resolve, and have been extra strict recently - so I think I've got my head back in the right place.

I've got three weeks to hopefully lose half a stone, as I have a fancy do to go to/a posh frock to buy, so hope the resolve lasts.

mummymels · 06/05/2010 18:55

How did your weigh in today go after waiting for so long?

How are we all doing? Hope to get some catch ups from you ladies soon!
I wore a size 14 dress to a christening today, I am very delighted!!

Sal - Oh no, you really sound down in the dumps. I hope you are feeling much better soon.

HinnyPet - That is brilliant and I bet you felt great.

I have been doing so well up until now but I think I have stuck at it for so long that I seem to be rebelling at the moment which really isn't good. I need to get back to it tomorrow as I don't want to get back into old ways.

That's good you haven't put on as much as you thought Sal. I hope you are on the mend soon and well done on not smoking for 9 days.

Mummy4610 · 18/05/2010 22:33

Hi, am hoping this thread is still active and would love to join you ladies - have managed to follow the Jan/Feb/March threads all the way here - you've all been doing really well!

I guess I'm starting at 100 - are you losing a point for every pound or kilo?

mummymels · 18/05/2010 22:40

Hi Mummy4610 - Hi. I am still here and hopefully some others are too. We lose a point for every pound. What diet are you doing?

Mummy4610 · 18/05/2010 22:51

I'm trying low-carb. Have never dieted before - have only cut down on snacks really.. Am a very fussy eater and don't like most veggies/sauces etc.. Love my potatoes, rice, pasta, toast and chocolate so a complete change! Had a few sugar cravings since friday but got AF on saturday so hoping that will pass next few days. Thankfully do like meat, chicken and eggs. Struggle for breakfasts - don't have time to cook in the morning. Didn't realise about drinking lots of water so must up the fluids.

theQuibbler · 19/05/2010 09:08

Hello Mummy4610 and welcome - it's pretty quiet round here, but people do still pop in. Are you following a particular plan or just cutting down on the carbs?

And hi there mummymels - how are you? I'm still on the wagon , hanging in

I'm now at 50 on our scale - so have lost 50lbs exactly. I weighed in yesterday. That's not bad from January, eh?
Still got more to go, but am feeling so much better and fit.
In fact I'm going to go back and read the old threads, it really helped me keep on the straight and narrow - wanna see how far I've come as motivation for the next bit.

I really want to lose another stone and a bit by July in time for holiday.

mummymels · 19/05/2010 21:54

Mummy4610 - Good luck with it. I am also doing a low carb diet called Go Lower and have lost loads so far. It will start to get easier. I eat granola with berries and Greek yoghurt for breakfast.

Hi Quibbler - Pleased to hear you are doing well. That's a brilliant loss, you must be feeling great. I'm doing well thanks. I've lost 64.5 lbs but that is since October. The last couple of weeks I have really been cheating quite a lot and am cross with myself but this week I am back being strict again.

Mummy4610 · 22/05/2010 00:40

Hi mummymels and theQuibbler and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm not really following a particular plan, just cutting out the carbs as much as possible. You've both had amazing weight loss - that's fantastic! I need to lose about 30lbs and it just seems impossible. What's Go Lower? Unfortunately I don't like natural or Greek yoghurt this has always been my problem when it comes to dieting - just don't have enough variety in my diet normally, never mind when on a diet!

pizzatheaction · 22/05/2010 00:53

where did BIWI go? are you in that posh frock?

i just found this thread again after i lost it as madwomanintheattic... i'm at 101 now

will keep my eyes peeled in case there is a new one next week!

mummymels · 22/05/2010 02:32

Hi mummy4610 - Go Lower is a low carb plan but they send the meals already made to you in a big package every couple of weeks so you don't need to cook it yourself. I did start off losing about a stone a month but the last month or so has really slowed down and I have to admit I have cheated a bit lately.

Pizzatheaction - hi again! Are you back on the diet again now?

HinnyPet · 04/07/2010 21:42

Any new thread for June / July?
