My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

Saw those calculators, really want one but leader can only get six which we have to order now, and I don't know exactly when my grant is coming (need it ! now! none of my clothes fit any more!- )

Cals per portion = 372 (100g- phew I only ate about 20!), fat per potion 39, 4 of which saturated.

Thanks Dior, you're great!

Can I ask a quick question?

I have a BMI of 25 but that jelly belly just has to go. I know that 25 is the upper limit of healthy weight range, do you think WW would let me join my local group just to shift 10lbs?

Whaddyareckon?

Arghhhh! I am struggling again! I only lost 1/2 lb last week, and had been so so so good! Then friday night i was upset (not about weight) so had pizza, then friends came over saturday (pigged out) then went out for a meal sunday (but didn't have chips) and i was good yesteday, xcept a crepe!
My aim is to bounce at least twice by next meeting - but i am just so busy at the mo! How many points does mowing the lawn earn me? I have a big garden - it takes about an hour to do front and back.
Oh and also, my weigh ins are in the morning so i have breakfast and dash off, this week i will have to go to the evening weigh, but surely i will be heavier because of eating and drinking all day.

thanks dior, I will join at the end of the month
How much do weekly sessions cost in the UK? They are 16.95 Australian dollars, just wondered if that was cmparable

and does this mean I can stuff my face until I join so I get my money's worth?

well the worst happened at thurs weigh in have gained 2lb the old chesnut from the leader that I asm doing too much exercise! Well hummmmm - I am having a fitness test on wednesday to have a look at vitals as discuessed before and will report back. I personally think the prob is that i have been put on beta blockers by my gp and i thinki that might be affecting the whole thiong but hey ho lets see!

It was the first time I have contemplated why am I doing this - which is bad but feeling ore positive now!

Dior my thoughts exactly - however have got my fitness test this pm so will see if physically change has occured - i guess it must because people say I look slimmer all the time! Also came on period early this weekend which would have had me weighing in 3 days before period which could be something........

The honest answer is that I have been lax with my tracker - so yes is possible to have gone over points but not to the degree that I would gain 2 lb particularly not with the additional exercise points I would have gained - Am now traking like mad to see what is going on! Really fearing the slippery slope! I never calculate my exercise which I guess could be the problem - am off to do now!!!

fifilala · 31/08/2005 10:28

can't believe it is weigh again tonight - have had a really good week - and I managed to get into a size 14 pair of jeans (not done that since before ds was born now age 3.6mths)-I still had a roll of flab hanging over but they didn't actually feel uncomfortable and I didn't struggle to do the zip - this has really spurred me on to be positive.

Will report back later tonight - hope I have lost weight

Ark, keep telling yourself that 2lbs was water retention. It does seem rather ridiculous of your leader to suggest that additional exercise caused it - unless she's working on the oft-repeated theory that muscle weighs more than fat. If doing exercise made you gain, no-one would ever do it !

Had my weigh-in this morning and have lost another 2lbs. That's 19lbs now in 6 weeks and my 10% reached. Not that anyone bloomin' commented on that, let alone gave me the flippin' keyring and I couldn't be bothered to point it out. That's supposed to be their job - but have to confess that I don't find the two women in cahrge of the scales particularly friendly.

fifilala · 31/08/2005 16:19

well done catsmother-reaching your 10% is a brilliant result and something that must really spur you on - it seems such along way for me alas!!

catsmother - whay - look at that a shining example of no count achievement!

Fifila you will get there.

Off to my fitness test in half hour so ought to sort myself out - i swear I have sweated off the weight today!

fifilala · 01/09/2005 08:02

2lbs off when weighed last night - total of 10.5 pounds in 8 weeks - slow but it is going in the right direction. Had really stuck to no-count this week, this is also good as due on this weekend (usually gain 4lbs). Go on holiday next thursday so can i eek out another couple of pounds before I go??????????????

OP posts:

fif - well done that is super news.

Well had my fitness test last night, and in some respects it goes some way to explain my stagnant weight loss. I previously was 33% of body fat, I am now only 23% !! in two months! So that is good news. I have lost over an inch of each arm and nearly 2 inches off my waist - my total weight loss over this whole period has been a soul destroying 1.5lb! Now fro the strange thing, I gain an inch on each thigh and on the hips - further investigation is that this is muscle growth (not part of the plan!!!) So basically I have built some large muscle groups in that area only since I changed my exercise plan when i broke my toes 4 weeks ago.! So fitness guy is saying that I will have gained weight as a result of leg and hip muscle - he also said that he suspects I am not eating enough and that potentially body is reacting against that.

Well so to cut a long story short!! Whatever the reason am feeling far happier today - like I am not wasting my time and I am not approaching everything with renewed vigour!!

fifilala · 01/09/2005 11:41

well done with the change in "Body" - you finally start to realise that it is all worth it!
