Thought I would start the new thread........ Attended class last night and managed to lose 3.5lbs, my friend lost the same - can't believe that we werre half a stone lighter!

My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

Tai Tai.. those cravings eh.. all i can offer is that i always have low point goodies in my cupboard for such times
eg.. maltesers (small funsize) 1.5 pts
chrunchie (funsize) 1 pt
ww chocolate eclairs 1.5 pts
pink & whites 0.5 pt

now i probably shouldnt have such goodies in my cupboard, but im a realist, i need junk, and i allow myself have it and save daily points for it
dont know if this helps at all...

TaiTai · 13/10/2005 11:15

Thanks, Linny. Do you stick to only one or two treats, though? I think if I had one funsize bar when I'm pre-menstrual, I'd just want the whole big bag.

Dropinthecauldron · 13/10/2005 11:16

There is a chocolate diet for women who suffer badly from sugar cravings pre-period.Why don't you google it?

TaiTai · 13/10/2005 11:34

Thanks, Drop. I've googled it and after a bit of a search, I found the book. More helpfully though, I found an article by a doctor specialising in weight loss who taught his patients to eat chocolate, enjoy it but only have as much as the really wanted, so they still lost weight. The whole idea was you got the best chocolate you could buy, put it lovingly in the cupboard - not hidden, but displayed - and then ate it piece by piece. You had to take a wrapped piece into the lounge and eat that, and if you wanted more, you went back for more. But you had to savour each piece.

TaiTai · 13/10/2005 11:35

I should stress that it was supposed to be a small piece you ate at a time. The whole point was to learn to listen to your body so you know when you've had enough, and not just cram lots of chocolate into your mouth.

Feel more in control today though!

I have just tried a soya fruit yogurt that I got free at the station the other day. It was really nice. Just wondered whether anyone else had tried them and if anyone knows how many points they are.

Thanks Dior, I've binned them but am going to buy some on the next shop and will post again.

fee77 · 17/10/2005 15:25

Sorry i haven't been around for ages - i have just been soooooooo busy! Hopefully things should calm down a bit now! The good news is i have managed to stick at weight watchers and have lost another 1/2 stone - that is 35 lb altogether now! I went shopping a couple of weeks ago, and bought myself some new trousers - i bought size 18 - and i had to go back to change them for a 16! I was so chuffed, i wanted to wear them inside out so that everyone could see the label! And now they are a bit baggy! I have n't been this "small" for 5 or 6 years.
I too am getting grief - i met up with family that i hadn't seen for ages, and they started the "youv'e lost enough now lecture" but i am going to carry on a bit longer, as i am still at the top range for bmi.
Oh and welcome to all the newcomers, well done linny and stop stressing dior, it will come off!

fee77 · 18/10/2005 15:19

Are you all jealous of my size 16 trousers?

Mummyvicky · 18/10/2005 15:42

Happy Birthday Dior! And to you for tomorrow, MummyVicky. Congrats to everyone who's lost weight. I maintained this week but I had my period and was pretty bad last week, so I'm not disappointed. I've just taken myself in hand this week and got back on board.

fifilala · 20/10/2005 18:42

well done to everyone , and happy birthday Dior- have not posted for a while - had a really bad few weeks, either static or slightly put on - however just been to weigh in - 4lbs lost this week, which leads to a total of 13lbs lost, I am now 11.12lbs, first time under the 12 stone mark in 4.5 years - I can't believe it!

fee77 · 21/10/2005 15:03

i bunked off ww today - had a bad week and not feeling great, a wimp i know!
Congratulations to everyone else - i have 4lbs till i get under 12 stone - i will get there, just not today!

TaiTai · 21/10/2005 15:42

Mummyvicky, A 0.5lb weight gain isn't much at all, you can easily kick that back off. I say go and have a good birthday meal tonight, then start afresh tomorrow. New age, new you. Just have less points the rest of the week to make up for your meal tonight, but I do think you should allow yourself to be spoiled and wined and dined. You can go to the cinema another night, tonight is special.

linnywith2 · 24/10/2005 21:27

Hi everyone -I had a lovely birthday and in the end though "sod it" and had a meal out with dh- first time in a year - it was lovely being free of the children for a few hours! AND i lost 2.5lbs so chuffed to bits- and it's given me strength to get back on track and get to goal!!

linnywith2 - maitenance is where I came off the wagon totally-because I felt thin- I thought nothing could touch me- I stopped the classes and it piled back on so quickly- so keep going!!!

Dior- sorry to hear you've having a bad time, I turn to food for comfort in stressful situations too, its a viscious circle isn't it ?
