Thought I would start the new thread........ Attended class last night and managed to lose 3.5lbs, my friend lost the same - can't believe that we werre half a stone lighter!

My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

YAAY Thats fantastic!, I have 3 stone left to go too- I try not to see it that way or I would get all fed up, so I concentrate on the 15lbs I have lost !.

misstimms · 22/09/2005 22:52

Hello everyone, oopps 1lb on this week mostly because of a serious lapse over the weekend....bit disappointed in myself cos I actually do want to change the way I look at food, and not just eat everything in sight..!
Fee77 I definately think you should buy those boots!!! Well done!

Hi, can I join in here please, I've decamped from the SW thread ! I've got a gallstone and might need my gallbladder removed so I need to lose weight if I'm going to have a general. The doctor has just been really helpful and we've agreed that I'm going to give following points a try again. I haven't sorted out a class yet but am starting as of today. I have to go back to the doctor in 8 weeks time and I really want a stone off by then.

hi can i join in? I joined a meeting last wednesday after trying to do the at home version for the past ten months without success. I am hoping the intimidation of weigh in day is going to work for me. I have 4 stones to lose so wish me luck. Didn't have a very good first day as I discovered jaffa cakes are only half a point, bought some as an occasional treat and ended up eating six at the expense of my fruit ration. I have been a bit better since then. Thought about doing no count but I need a treat now and again for life to be fun.

sparklingshiraz · 25/09/2005 12:05

just hit a glitch. Cooking sunday dinner, states points value for yorkie puds. Is that the same for homemade or is it just the really brittle, light bought ones? How do they know how much fat you have added to your homemade ones?

dublindee · 25/09/2005 12:26

Just started ww last monday and on week 1. have about 9 stone to lose and 2 years to get there. wanna be a stick-insect (albeit a healthy one!) walking down the aisle and really really really don't wanna be a fat mummy. think the yorkshire puds are normally the bought ones sparkling, if you're making yur own just go easy on the fat and point them about 3 points higher than the shop ones. This is my 3rd attempt at weight watchers and hopefully it'll be a case of 3rd time lucky!

dior = i started ww recently and am 30 points a day - but i'm still a little confused so i can basically eat anything i want as long as it adds up to 30 points is that right?

dublindee · 25/09/2005 14:04

jackquline- I'm not dior - obviously! - but know from past experience in ww that as long as "you bite it then write it" you can eat what you like within your daily points allowance. If like me you love lots of food then tons of veg and fruit means you don't feel hungry. Also if you have no points left and you are hungry for food you can make an omlette only using egg whites (free as the points are all in the yolk) and then use a ton of mushrooms tomatoes and peppers - even a salad with no dressing and you'll not go hungry!!!

I'm trying the no points thing for a change but forgot on day 1 and had a baguette worth 14 points of my weekly 21 -doh! Have had to be a saint ever since and I'm so frustrated!

Hi all - sorry been a bit illusive - lInny - I think that is part of my problem I never really set a goal in my mind I would like my next goal to be 9st 11, as that would be exactly 2stone off where I started. but basically I se that as the top end of my goal. I went shopping this weekend and I am right between a 12 and 14 now fitting in both - which is fab so far from my size 18 at the beginning of the year - so have 7'b to loose to my next goal after the longest plateau in the hisory of ww!

peckarollover · 26/09/2005 14:19

Hi all

Just started on ww again to get rid of post wedding weight!

I am going to go shopping this afternoon can you give me your suggestions for good low point stuff available in shops?

Mummyvicky · 26/09/2005 17:24

Hi, and good luck with the weight loss. There are loads of weightwatchers branded foods that are quite nice - some of them ( the wws cheese spread is gross!)
stock up on lots of veggies and fruit, snackajacks, mini rivitas etc etc
Lots to chose from- good luck!

pjsmum · 26/09/2005 17:44

Just fell off the diet wagon! Really need to get back into this. Can't get motivated at all but get really down about weight and size. What's the matter with me? Anyone got any ideas how to get back on track? Well done with the weight losses everyone.
Laughing cow and ryvita are low points peckarollover.

ark · 27/09/2005 10:23

pjsmum - how far did y ou get last time? How good did it make you feel? Why do you want to be slimmer? Answering these questions might help you find the dieting bug again!

Write down all you eat, that might help too.
HTH

pjsmum · 27/09/2005 15:52

Cheers Ark. I lost 2 stone before then got pregnant and now have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Just been to Tesco only brought good low point food have the week planned out so hopefully will get back into it. can i ask, on the no count plan how do you know whether a food is no count if its not listed? Only ask cos saw some tins of soup but not in book so wasn't sure whether they would be ok.

ark · 27/09/2005 16:19

i know very little about no count - have you tried the ww website? Maybe dior will come along and tell you more.
