Thought I would start the new thread........ Attended class last night and managed to lose 3.5lbs, my friend lost the same - can't believe that we werre half a stone lighter!

My total weight loss in two weeks is 4.5lbs. I feel so pleased with myself only about 28 more pounds to go.

mmmmm should I reward myself with a chocci biscuit?? or should I stick with the ww fruitie sweets???????????

That's brilliant Dior - hardly any one stays to my meetings. I used to but then there were so many kids running round i couldn't hear, and noww dd is a little older i don't think she would sit there quietly any more!
And well done meggymoo!

Mummyvicky · 15/09/2005 10:56

Well done Meggymoo !!

misstimms · 15/09/2005 22:29

Hello everyone, hope it's all going well for you all! Just a question about maintenance once goal weight is (finally) achieved on no count...does anyone know how it works? ie, do you get more weekly points..?

Mummyvicky · 16/09/2005 12:11

yes you get a few more points and add and subtract them as your lose or gain weight. Once you maintain, you the keep those points!
I think when I got to gold I was on 22 points a day.

fee77 · 16/09/2005 12:48

Yippeeeeeee! I lost 3 lb this week, so have past the 2 stone mark! I bought a new cook book to celebrate, but that didn't cut the mustard - i quite fancy some new boots! 30 1/2 lb altogether - that is my friends two children put together!!!!
Sorry for gloating

fifilala · 19/09/2005 08:26

not been on for a couple of weeks - on holiday and although I haven't had chips and stuck to salads etc I have had desserts(and quite a lot of them + alcohol!!)Rapidly trying to get back on track for this weeks weigh in - don't feel too bad so will wait and see what weds evening brings. Also just purchased an adominal exerciser thingy!

I'm thinking of joining WW and trying the pure points - but am concerned what to do over meal times - will i have to mainly stick to micro meals?

fee77 · 20/09/2005 08:06

No fairy dust - on ww i hardly ever feel hungry. You can kame up some really tasty low point meals as well. My dh is on it without even knowing it! plus there is now a no count option where you eat as much as you want of certain foods - some one else would be better at explaining it than me!

fairydust · 20/09/2005 12:52

thanks for that fee77 - i've been doing sw quire sucessfully but feel so deprived.

pjsmum · 20/09/2005 20:47

fee77 congratulations Well so much for the double result my leader reckoned on, lost 1/2 pound. Going to try the no count this week, see how successful that is. Hope all is well with everyone else.

Mummyvicky · 21/09/2005 09:52

Well WI was a disaster, having had 10 points under for the week and 17 bonus points i GAINED 1/2 lb!!
My leader suggested cutting down the 10 breastfeeding points a day down to 5 and see how it goes. I was gutted Lets hope 25 pts a day works for me!!

well ladies i've joined went to an early class this morning - so hope you don't mind me nagging over the nxt few weeks whilst i get my head round it.

any tips?

ark · 21/09/2005 10:13

Hi everyone - been a bit illusive for a while - but all is going okay. Had a bad week last week stayed the same and didn't do any exercise but you reep what you sow ! Feeling better this week but excema has really flaired up so have put myself on a a course of low fat yakult probiotics! Can't find a points value anywhere! Anybody know?

Hi fairydust, trying to think of a top tip for you! For me I try and focus on how hard my decision to go to ww in first place and how far I have come ! I have decided to embrace the cheesiness of dieting - that every change I make to my ligfestyle is a long term change with long term benefits - this way it has become more than just loosing weight! If that makes sense!

Also I have never seen ww as depriving myself of things, I think this is quite a good way of maintaining the plan. Oh and do track what you eat as it really works! Good luck

i've started ww again as of today. i need all the support i can get because i seriously fell off the wagon. And i was so close to my goal in July!

does anyone know how many points there are in the following:

gravad lax (marinated salmon from ikea) with the mustard sauce;
swedish meatballs;
mazarine (swedish almond cake with white icing on top)
ikea swedish hotdog

fairydust · 21/09/2005 10:24

sansouci - no help on the ikea thing.
I started today as well so maybe we can nag each other

sansouci · 21/09/2005 10:26

that would be great fairydust. we're going to ikea today & i'm wondering what i can eat safely. of course, hotdogs, mazarine and meatballs should be out of the question!

sansouci · 21/09/2005 10:28

if anyone has a spare book from WW UK that lists how many points there are in food, i would be very grateful.

fairydust · 21/09/2005 10:30

I love ikea meatballs

ark · 21/09/2005 10:31

s - i went on ww website to see if it could help and the basic answer is no!

Gravadlax from M & S is 3 points per half pack
no idea re sauce.

Meatballs appear to be anything from 3-5 points and hot dogs from 2 to 11!!!!!"!

As for Mazerine(sp?) no info at all

So virtually no help sorry !! Might help to write off that day and start a fresh ?

ark · 21/09/2005 10:33

no spare book - in fact am chasing a friend for mine back!! YOu could always try registering online you can search for food there.

sansouci · 21/09/2005 10:36

LOL, ark! i had to write off last week. i'll eat before we go, i think and have a nice coffee.

i have been a member on WW UK but there's no way to have anything sent to me in Switzerland directly from WW UK. it's such a shame because being expats, our eating habits are far more English than Swiss.

ark · 21/09/2005 10:55

what a pain! Have you maybe tried ebay??!!

old version but you may find something more recent

If I were you would go for gravadlax option if you want to eat something - sounds nice and I think would be lower than other options??

charliegreensmum · 22/09/2005 08:54

Sansouci

I have the old time to eat handbook which lists all the points values in foods and a spare points finder slide thingy so you can work out the points in any food you have nutrional information for. I'm quite happy to send them to you as I'm now following the switch program and have the new handbook for that. Please let me know your address and I'll pop them in the post for you!

sansouci · 22/09/2005 10:59

Thank you charliegreensmum! that's extremely kind. I just need an idea of how many points are in something like a choccy digestive biscuit or half a tin of baked beans, IYSWIM! I will cat you if I can figure out how that works.

BTW, I managed to get to a whopping 30 points yesterday, even though I didn't go near the meatballs or marinated salmon! I think I should be counting points as I go along rather than at the end of the day.

sansouci · 22/09/2005 11:03

Ark, by the time I read your message, the booklet had been sold. Wahhhh! Thanks anyway.
