WW points make about as much sense to me as Sainsburys nectar pints do. Dont understand them

cyb · 23/03/2010 20:24

Thats how I measure out my portions actually, a matchbox of this, playing card of that. Sometimes a palm sized piece of chicken followed by a paper cup case of custard

I'm making myself lol now. I'm giddy with it

AuldAlliance · 23/03/2010 20:25

cat in lift is excellent

I think when it gets down and pokes its head out it is wondering, as I was, how they get their outdoor tiles to be so spanking clean.

SuSylvester · 23/03/2010 20:26

Hello - can I join. Have had a quick scan through the thread and its made me laugh -laughter is good for burning off calories right? - am aiming on losing 7lbs and need a scary type to bash me into line...

largeginandtonic · 23/03/2010 20:26

Crikey that was like bullet point post.

I noticed Su. The kids shouted shhhh at me as the music for the ballon woman came on. I don't remember it but then i am only 32

Am getting my eyebrows done tomorrow morning. Caught sight of self in the car mirror today. Texted friend straight away to make an appointment.

It is like hair, one day looks fine the next you are staring at an unruly bush like this

dumb? me??

moodlum · 23/03/2010 20:29

Threading - so unbelievably painful, but on the plus side, perhaps the pain is so bad you might lose some weight with the added adrenalin pumping round.

Supersize vs superskinny. Hilarious yet frightening. Am off to calculate if I'm verging on morbidly obese yet

I had supper, chicken, raw peppers and cherry tomatoes all in a wrap. The wrap will be the most calorific of all things there, but its the most I've eaten in three days, so I feel ok about it.

DH has just gone to fill up his car with petrol. Please let him not bring back any fruit and nut.

dinkystinky · 23/03/2010 20:30

Excellent - just what I need.

Porridge with water and skinny latte for breakfast, soup of some sort for lunch, dried mango bits and satsumas for snacks and tuna steak (griddled) with veg for dinner in the evening - at least that's what planned. Sadly depending on my stress levels during the day it's likely to out of the window at some point and turn into chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate without being held accountable by the diet thread massive gurus...

moodlum · 23/03/2010 20:31

this website is what I have used in the past instead of ww. Tis cheaper but similar concept.

dinkystinky · 23/03/2010 20:32

Oh yes - am on weightwatchers too - but they're all too nice on the WW website to terrify me into actually dieting properly. Suspect I've been on it too long though as have started seeing things in restaurants in points....

moodlum · 23/03/2010 20:32

Oh arse - does it come up with my log in details?

SuSylvester · 23/03/2010 20:32

no dinky it wont
you are thinner already
you can do 7lbs in three weeks
BUT it will take longer if you cheat so its in your hands

are you au fait with the "food assessment criterion"?

OP posts:
SuSylvester · 23/03/2010 20:33

ww point calculator

OP posts:
isthatporridgeinyourhair · 23/03/2010 20:35

Is it bedtime yet?

dinkystinky · 23/03/2010 20:37

Now that's the kind of pep talk I'm after.

What the hell is the food assessment criterion?

Undertone · 23/03/2010 20:39

Every six weeks I go to get my eyebrows waxed - they look great afterwards, and the pain is just three sharp bursts (one under each brow, and one in the middle). Because I'm a ginge I get them tinted a darker brown as well. Gives my face more definition.

Tally for the day:

Special K red berries (sorry - but I lurve it), skimmed milk, vit tablet
wholemeal bread sanwich, lean ham
2 cans diet coke, 1 litre water, 1 pint fizzy water
Apple
Snak a Jacks
Bag of salad, 2 tomatoes, lean chicken, cottage cheese and no-fat thousand island dressing.

To be honest, I eat this every day because it's so easy. When i feel i'm getting bored with salad I change dressing or put lean beef on top instead. Avoiding snacks is easy at the mo - work's so savage that to obtain a snack I could have to collar an underling and snarl 'GET ME A BAR OF GREEN AND BLACK'S' and fling them out through reception. But I haven't done that, so I have kept strong...

I don't log on before I go to work, so I miss the wake and shakes!
