Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

Poohbearsmom · 12/01/2010 12:46

HI all, whats for lunch? thanks for adding me dis gettingT i wud like to go for walks but the weather is so cold ds1 has bad chest and gets an awful cough when out n the cold for any length (dr thinks he may develop ashma) what i do tho is try to turn a game into exercise for me, like the other day my boys chased me round the house tryin to get me and then me tryin to get them, they were n histerics laughing and 15min later da sweat was really really pouring outa me! the 1st time i exercised i only managed less then 10min before (almost) passing out but only a month later i can do almost 30min now, which i know is still really not enuf but someday... kayz i found it tough learning to drink water as id only drank cof b4... But what i do is mentally count my gulps & always hav to take at least 10 huge gulps in one go b4 i take the glass/bottle away from my mouth (not very lady like i know but needs must), & now im easily drinkin 2.5lr+ a day!

skinsl · 12/01/2010 12:49

7 stone. Yeah!!!!
So annoyed, finally when i get my arse into gear and get into the gym, they have shut down the creche!! only open Mon-Wed for 2 hours!! that means no exercise for this week. I need to keep the momentum going.

bebejones · 12/01/2010 13:06

7stone between us! That is fantastic! Wonder if we'll match or even beat it this week? Waiting for Tesco's to deliver food before the snow (apparently) starts again!

B Muller Light Yoghurt
L Chicken Noodle Cuppa soup & 2 ryvita with lf philly
D No idea yet! Probably cous cous and something, maybe chicken!

Going to do some Wii training now, really enjoy the boxing & that seems to get the heart pumping!

Hello Bexaa! Add yourself to the list

Are you following any particular diet? Weight watchers? slimming world? or just winging it?

I've just bought some weight watchers scales, hopefully these ones will match what the WW-meetings ones say, that way I can weigh in on a Monday here and then go to my weigh in Wednesday for 4 weeks.

Bebjones ? that?s fab. That?s something I am terrible at, doing exercise.

Mrswill ? that?s brilliant too. I might invest in a DVD too. Does anyone have any recommendations on what are the best to get? I really wish we had a wii but we can?t afford it at the moment.

Kayzr ? good luck with drinking more water and eating breakfast.

Arcticwind ? that?s brilliant especially as you have had such a hard week.

Poohbearsmum ? Course you can still join in. I see you have been added to the list.

Disenchanted ? What a pain re the course clashing. What course is it?

PhaseeolusLunatus ? Wow that sound brilliant when you add everyone?s weight loss up together.

RatherBeOnThePiste ? Lol on the small person.

Disenchanted ? Me too! My 4 year old is 2 ½ stone and my weight loss is more than that. When you say it that way it makes it sound so much more.

GettinTrimmer ? All that walking must do some good.

Lovecat ? Sorry if TMI but I am the same with AF since having children! I hope you feel better as DD does.

Mum2olinoandjess ? 4 times a week on the wii must really help.

Evening all

I am probably about to feel even dafter, Dis. AF means time of the month - I am possibly being stoopid here, but what does it stand for?

It's not on the list of Acronyms at the top of the page.

Poohbearsmum - Anything that makes you feel puffed out is good exercise in my book! And you're entertaining your dc at the same time.

I can't wait till this ice goes, how is it for everyone else?

Disenchanted3 · 12/01/2010 16:43

It Auntie Flo! lol, As in Auntie Flo is coming to visit.

Mummymels - well done on reaching a pre-children weight.

I am in my forties now so I am realistic, I will not weigh what I did in my 20s, but back to pre-children weight of 10 and a half to 11 stone would be great for me.

GettinTrimmer · 12/01/2010 16:46

Thanks Dis. My mind was boggling there.

runforit · 12/01/2010 16:51

i think bns must be butternut squash

Disenchanted3 · 12/01/2010 16:57

Ah! Yes!

Gold star for runforit

Anyone feel like they are getting used to the lack of food now? Well not lack, but reduction?

Today I've had :

Special K & skimmed milk.

Lunch : veg soup + 2 pices of WW bread.

2 naughty jaffa cakes.

Usually I would eat double, big heavy things like chip butty or lots of pasta in creamy sauce with garlic bread... lots of biccies... and soomething like mature cheddar on toast ( 3 slices) with cup of tea with sugar

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2010 17:28

well done runforit

mummymels · 12/01/2010 17:50

Disenchanted - I think I need that course! lol, would be interested to hear what they tell you. I am getting used to eating less but then I should do by now as been dieting for 3 months, lol!

Blondes - what lovely ideas for soups. I should make homemade soup more often. I keep meaning to find out when I can start making my own meals rather than using the Go Lower ones, it may be when I reach my goal.

PhaseolusLunatus · 12/01/2010 17:57

I have had a bit of a slippy-uppy couple of days :

Yesterday

I/2 a box of those tiny Green and Blacks bars (think comes to about 80g)
Glass of port

Today

Thorntons Viennese Truffle Bar
Tesco 'light' Hot Cross Bun
A cappuccino (a poddy thing at a friend's house)

Rest of today's food has been porridge made with water and a few sultanas, and a baked potato with lemon sardines and salad.

Having chicken and barley soup for supper; hoping to get back on track tomorrow.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/01/2010 18:02

simple soups but yummy

another one is celery, onion in stock and whizz up - very nice

you can add a bit of semi milk for a richer creamy taste, which would then make each portion 1/2p

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/01/2010 18:31

I am certainly feeling better. Over Christmas I just felt stuffed really ( like my turkey ) and I feel better not to be!

I do feel enormous support on here, love the recipes too and am thrilled that so many had such good success last week - let's keep it going!

RatherBeOnThePiste will ActuallyBeOnThePiste in Austria in Half Term so am aiming for that in the first instance but will certainly keep going afterwards!

Lovecat · 12/01/2010 19:15

Feeling a lot better now, have spent the day wading through my never ending laundry pile and have bagged up 2 more loads for charity, plus pulled out the nicer stuff for Ebay (may as well try and make some money out of the clothes I can't fit into anymore!), cooked dinner for DD and myself (she's better now, thankfully) of pizza chicken (chicken, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, mozzarella) with green beans and swede for me, new potatoes for her, and did my 5 mins bouncing (I'm building up from a chart I found on't'web).

I've only had 1 meal today, but haven't been hungry, have drunk loads of water and feel good!

mrswill · 12/01/2010 19:16

Thanks Mummymels, well done you too getting back to pre pregnancy weight!

I have already had a sneaky weigh this week, and have dropped another 2lb so far. This low carb business is brilliant. I would usually struggle for ages to lose weight during low fat diets, and be starving to boot.

My DVD is Davinas superbody workout. I think its been said - but a personal trainer on style and beauty gives them a glowing reference. Im also starting interval training tomorrow using my skipping rope, which I used to do in my running days. Melts fat like nothing else.
