Disenchanted3 · 31/12/2009 12:25

Hiya,

Am starting Monday, I have not weighed myself yet and think I probably need to loose close to 3 stone but am aiming for 2 by end of March.

Will weigh myself in here on Monday and update each Monday after.
Anyone want to join me?

Morning all

More snow here as well, but hopefully only a sprinkling, but enough to make conditions on the roads deteriorate even more. DD has two speeds on our walk to school, very fast or very slow but in this she's very very slow and took an hour round journey, there and back, for school run today.

Dh got stuck up our road, but he's lucky because there are buses running.

We have to make it up to the West Midlands next Tuesday, sadly for FIL funeral, but I think the forecast is better.

Gruber hope you're feeling better today, I think we're thawing slowly in Fareham!

Dis - take away curries are my downfall too, but you could get a packet of poppadums, I think they are low in sat fat.

arsebiscuit Welcome. I will copy and paste you in. How are you doing yours? WW/SW or just cutting out junk?

Ratherbeonthepiste - I don't have a Wii fit either, but have Wii Sports (usually comes free with the console) I have been doing the tennis & boxing coz if you get up & do it it does get your heart rate up! So I figure if I combine that with my DVD (for more toning/weight loss exercises) then it should do some good. I would get bored if I did the same thing all the time!

PhaseolusLunatus · 13/01/2010 10:50

Morning everyone, and welcome oliviasmama and Arsebiscuit

Right, my 2 day pre-AF wobble is over, and I am somewhat chastened by a slight hangover from 2 glasses of Baileys (??)

I have had 2 weetabix and a banana for breakfast.

How incredibly frustrating, Dis; I'd be feeling sorry for myself, too.

arsebiscuit · 13/01/2010 11:04

Hi everyone, am just trying to cut out the junk, and do more exercise, have been going on the wii fit. Am desperate to get out walking with the pushchair, but can't push it through all the snow!

Disenchanted3 · 13/01/2010 11:17

my weight watchers scales arrived and I had a naughty go on them they sau 13 stone and three quarters of a lb, so thats great, I know fluctuation makes a difference, but we will see come Monday.

I'll throw my crap ones out now.

My sister has agreed to come to weight watchers with me monday night (rather than lunch time) so can keep weighing in with you lot. Yey!

Disenchanted3 Thanks I keep asking myself why i didn't do this in the summer

JODIEwantsanewname · 13/01/2010 12:19

Meant to say earlier - dis at your DH!!!

ratherbeonthepiste where in Austria are you going? We usually go to Soll, but DH going on his own this year (well, with his mates) as last year was a nightmare with the 2 DS's. we are going back as a family in June to see what the area is liked in the summer

GettinTrimmer · 13/01/2010 12:33

How is your arm Jodie?

GettinTrimmer · 13/01/2010 12:34

I am feeling stuffed as I have just had a baked bean and (a little bit!) of cheese omelette.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/01/2010 12:51

Not far from Soll i think, we are going back to kirchberg which is the next valley along from kitzbuel and shares the same mountain ranges. Funnily enough we are going without my DH as he can't take time off then!

GettinTrimmer · 13/01/2010 13:49

Hope you have a great holiday ratherbeonthepiste. I've never been on a skiing holiday before - are you staying in a hotel/log cabin?

Disenchanted3 · 13/01/2010 15:38

Brrrr its freezing!!
Nearly had a bit of a relapse than, DH was eating a snickers and I had a tiny squirrel nibble and almost went for a bite but didn't.

Think I'm being incredibly restrained, which I never thought I would be!

Had cereal for brekkie and lunch

Just got back from shopping starving so grabbed cereal before anything else could tempt me!

Looking forwards to dinner tonight!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2010 17:41

evening

had a nightmare of a day,it snowed tons in kent last night and i went to work at 7am and then promtly got stuck going up a hill 15mins later - grrrrrrrrrrrrr

eventually got pushed up the hill by 3 sexy men

and then stuck again and had to abanden my car a mile from work

all the time there was a marathon/snickers bar looking at me that dh left in there from weekend

i am proud to say that i didnt eat it

though i really wanted to

i think i am under my points today, must go and count, but havtnt had dinner yet, so maybe be over - this is what happens if i dont plan my days meals in advance

only one more day then a weigh in for me - hope i havent put weight on

dis, your dh deserves a slap for not taking you a poppadom up

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/01/2010 17:53

Getting Trimmer - a hotel - yippee, went there last year and the food is totally yummy - loads of stuff in a breakfast buffet and quite posh foody food in the evening. They also have tea and cakes at 4ish

My diet is somewhat doomed that week although I will be using loads of energy! Because DH isn't coming I will be much better behaved than usually and will have fewer big fat beers!!

I absolutely love skiing and so do DC and the scenery is awesome and breathtaking.

Can't wait!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/01/2010 17:59

sorry peaked too soon with my post - was going to say thank you GettingTrimmer !
Piste x

Eddas · 13/01/2010 18:40

Hi ladies

More snow here too blondes thought not as much as over your way by the sound of it! dd's school was even open today well til they decided at 11.45 to shut at 1, was pleased with that since I was half an hour away + have to stop and collect ds from the CM on the way back. Great fun

Anyway, I was chuffed yesterday as I got an email from MN HQ saying i'd won a prize £600 of Halfords vouchers to spend on bikes and accessories YAY! Plus £100 worth of BIC stationery and kids camera. FAB!

I also got an email to say my fitness dvd is on it's way, I was begining to think i'd imagined ordering it

Diet still going ok, although I have been tempted alot to stray. Why doesn't chocolate have the same nutritional value as a carrot hmm hmm, who sorted that out then, would make life so much easier on the weightloss front!!

gruber · 13/01/2010 18:56

Waves to GettingTrimmer Yes it's thawing at last! Feeling much better thanks, think it was just a funny bug thing.

Feel so proud of myself today - no snacks!! And last night had jacket potato and beans for dinner and no pudding (amazing). Hoping AF will come this weekend and make me weigh even less.

bebejones · 13/01/2010 19:41

Feeling very stuffed, am starting to feel fuller after less food the last few days. That can only be a good thing!

Snow is thawing here too, but did carry on snowing all day pretty much. Very odd!

Didn't manage to do DVD today so feeling a bit cross about that DD has been a complete PITA today! No nap til 3.30 & then had to wake her up for dinner which meant she was in a bad mood! Can't really let her go all day without a nap yet (17months) she is horrid by 4pm if she doesn't have a sleep then refuses to eat anything & screams if you come near her with food! It is very trying!

Tomorrow is another day, fingers crossed I get some exercise done!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2010 19:58

EDDAS yah to winning vouchers well done, sure we had more snow then you

im verging on having a takeaway - im tired and dont wannt cook

but know i shouldnt as then will really be over my points ........

compo · 13/01/2010 20:00

Hi eeryone

well today I had fruit and fibre for brekkie
salad, turkey wrap for lunch and salad , ham wrap for tea
got a headache and AF so didn't feel like cooking
also had packet of spicy tomato snack a jacks (surprisingly nice) and 2 very small milkie bars
af always means chocolate cravings.
managed no alchol today and yesterday (very good for me , usually half a bottle a night girl), but headache put me right off
if I gave u[p drinking I'd probably lose 2 stone in a flash

arcticwind · 13/01/2010 20:59

Hi all

We had more snow here too and the roads locally and round school are treacherous. I skidded on a hill plus got stuck at school but finally got out (passer by with a spade dug me out).

Feeling flu-y and a bit feverish - not sure why but will get an early night. Also craving chocolate (maybe becasue of AF) so doing my best to resist.

I thought I might start to post the 'inspirational', mind motivate stuff from my W8 site for those not on a plan? Also have you seen the WW offer - free joining and one free week - on voucher codes?

Good luck all and stay will powerful!

mummymels · 13/01/2010 21:58

PhaseolusLunatus ? I don?t these those treats yesterday should affect you too much because everything else you ate was so low.

Lovecat ? You sound so much more positive now which is great. It?s always rewarding to have a good sort out isn?t it. I am in the middle of sorting the kids clothes but never seem to get to finish.

Mrswill - Sorry to sound thick but what is interval training?

LittleRedDragon- Well done on losing the weight you put on so quickly. It sounds as if you are back on track now.

Gruber ? I hope you are feeling better now.

PollyParanoia - Thanks for updating the list. It is getting rather long but that is great that there are so many of us.

Kayzr ? At Pizza Hut maybe try and fill yourself a lot on the salad bar so you won?t want much of the more fatty food.

Oliviasmama / arsebiscuit ? Welcome!

Runforit ? Hope you are feeling more motivated as the week goes on.

Jodie ? lol, I did wonder about the 1/5 an hour. That?s great that you have lost so much weight since last going on the wii fit.

Bebejones ? We had another downfall of snow here today too and my DH was home too. Everything seems to go out of routine and a bit haywire when he is here!

Disenchanted ? I?m not surprised you are feeling fed up, I would too if my DH did that. Men just don?t get it do they? I hope you got an apology from him.

gettingTrimmer ? Sorry to hear about the loss of your FIL.

Ratherbeonthepiste ? It?s always good to have a holiday to look forward to for motivation.

Poohbearsmom ? I would love to have a chef in the family!

Blondes ? What a nightmare journey into work.

Eddas ? well done on your win. What was the competition?

Compo ? Your food for today sounds great.

Arcticwind ? Hope you feel better tomorrow.
