Dis - I know what you mean about evenings. I usually have to get up at 5am so am in bed by 9ish with a book usually. Over the Xmas break I have been staying up later and really, really struggling not to pick and eat and eat and pick. Back to work today so hopefully back to normal.
Try to have some good things to snack on, fruit, carrot sticks etc and make sure you have a pint of water first. Tell yourself you can only snack once you have drank the water. More often than not you will not feel the need to eat after that. Also, write down everything that you eat and see if you find a pattern emerging. Sometimes it can help to just look at what you have eaten and your head knows that you CAN'T be hungry.
