Here we are, thanks Cyteen for the excellent title although it's slightly false advertising on my part

I thought you meant the 4 of you - 2xadultSazz and 2xadultDizz!

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:26

VG am soooooooooooooooo NOT running sorry but its just not my thing I did used to to it through a very slim/fit period at uni (I fancied the bloke that worked at the gym) and even the GP mentioned that I wasn't built for running

love swimming, when I'm not too embarrassed to wear a costume and will get back to that once I've done my gently gently old/lardy ladies thing at curves for a wee while

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:30

am soothed now thank you although you may continue to stroke me incase my angst comes back

night Sazz, you have as always amused and shamed me all at once

VintageGardenia · 03/01/2010 23:36

Pleasure was ours!

Hope you might continue thinking about coming in cold light of day.

Off to empty dishwasher now hmm.

Night night snogs.

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:38

VG for once we're actually off over Valentines which is a lovely notion - shall chat to DH about it in the morning when the cold light of the credit card hits us!!

can you imagine me heading over to Dublin and not staying in G with S? would cause a riot!!

oh and do you know any nice hotels in Belfast at all? I got DH concert tickets for his Christmas for June and would like to make it a weekend away rather than a visit to the PIL

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:45

VG there is a France v Ireland 6 nations match on over Valentines weekend, if its in Dublin that may swing it

actually, who am I kidding, if there is a pub showing it that would work for DH too

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:48

have just checked, its in France but the mere mention of a child free visit to a pub may work - leave it with me

VintageGardenia · 03/01/2010 23:48

You don't have to explain things to me like prior expectations etc and being expected elsewhere, don't worry!

Re. match I think it's in Pareeee.

VintageGardenia · 03/01/2010 23:50

But Ireland are playing Scotland in Croke Park in March!!!

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:54

I know and have checked but they airlines are not daft to that at all and the flights are horrendous - would love to go to the match too

and I wouldn't have an issue telling S I was staying elsewhere, would just like to be a fly on the wall when I told her [bad friend emoticon]

VintageGardenia · 03/01/2010 23:56

I know!

Look I am truly off to bed looking for match tickets has led me to ogle ballet tickets and Christy Moore tickets and I haven't a a bean so NIGHT NIGHT and I will leave dishwasher till morning.

xxx

dizzydixies · 03/01/2010 23:58

yup, just checked, still £300 return for 2

ooh christy Moore you say?!?!?

enough, bed for me too, night all

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2010 02:41

many runners here.
adding thread to my list and possibly only lurking.
can't run a mile let alone 2K yet.
seeking inspiration and a lung transplant.

btw here's my purchased inspiration. they feel like a dream.

oopsandbabycoconut · 04/01/2010 09:00

You lot have all lost you marbles! I just popped on to say to Dizzy - We always stay at the Europa in Belfast. Tis very nice and central.

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 04/01/2010 09:20

Sorry to have missed all the chat lsast night, but have been mooching around frrling sorry for myself

Funny how the initial get-together-for-running chat turned into trip-to-the-pub planning...

I will not be running I don't think, but will be back on the bike in a day or so. All plans of lots of trips out with lovely bracing walks over Christmas have been scuppered by this fecking weather am in danger of losing my driving nerve if it goes on much longer.

Drank loads of water yesterday and consequently down to only () +5 this morning

dizzydixies · 04/01/2010 10:03

oops the Europa is the most bombed hotel in the world, or at least it was!! That and the Stormont have both been mentioned however DH and I are more of the smaller, boutique hotel style - although DH, when I asked for suggestions, just said 'I doubt belfast does Boutique'

Hots - also down to only +5 here this morning, have a big smooch from me and I hope you're feeling a bit brighter today

luckoftheirish · 04/01/2010 10:19

right have managed to book two classes a day at the gym for tues/wed/thurs!! will mean that my limited childcare ie child free hours will be completely used up by exercising!!! ah well.. have a 40th b-day party to go to down south on sat (weather permitting) and a cheeky little dress to get into so no pain no gain...

also upping the water but must confess that i need a dash of sugar free juice to get it down.. does that count???

ok off to take dd2 out for a brish walk in the freezing cold!!

dizzydixies · 04/01/2010 10:49

oh lordy LOTI I do hope that sgarfree juice counts - if not I find luke warm water easier to drink than cold

oopsandbabycoconut · 04/01/2010 11:26

Dizzy - The Porter who porter who opened the door at the Europa kindly welcomes you with 'Welcome to the Europa Hotel, the most bombed hotel in the world.' It makes you feel right at home! Yes, sugar free juice will count as it is no calories and the water is to flush out your system. Will have a word with out friend at cityhall and find out if there are any Boutique hotels in Belfast.

dizzydixies · 04/01/2010 13:14

thanks oops, no hurry, concert not till June

TwilightSurfer · 04/01/2010 13:14

Room temperature water absorbs quicker than cold water. So faster hydration!
