VintageGardenia · 04/03/2010 13:19

ooh well done sazz I'll be weighing in at the leisure centre this morning.

luckoftheirish · 05/03/2010 09:06

Well done sazz knew i wouldn't have to eat my hat ...

right well i am so so not happy.. need to tell you all about this so appologies in advance..

monday i was up 0.6 so had 7lbs to lose.. scales then went up again to 0.8...

yesterday i went to the gym, did workout and as there was a scales there i thought what the hell... i had lost 2.4lbs!!! so excited over this but then began to think that gym scales were wrong although usually they are pretty much the same as mine.. went home, hopped on the scales and same result... last night wasn't feeling great so didn't eat very much...

this morning hopped on the scales and have managed to put all that 2.4lbs... HOW HOW HOW...

So after that long text i am up 1.2lb on last fri.. not sure how much more this i can take...

hotterpotter · 05/03/2010 09:50

Sazz that is fantastic, well done
loti that is a puzzler, unless you sweated sooo much during your exercise... How much water are you drinking at the moment?

Well after my scary weigh-in yesterday I have recovered a little but am still +4.5 on last week which means I am +1 on the start of this little challenge... I have thought about everything I ate in the two naughty days and although it was a lot it no way accounts for all that so fingers crossed I can wee it all out by next week

Forgot to weigh in again...I don't think I will ever have the right frame of mind for sustained weight loss effort This week has been pretty lame really so not expecting anything.

VintageGardenia · 05/03/2010 10:12

Great news for you Sazz, less good for the rest of us this week - I am even Stevens today, was actually expecting an uppage as was +3lbs earlier in the week . Ho hum. Am expecting my period so this may account for a stall otherwise I suppose I have just not exercised enough in the last 2 weeks. Brutal truth. Oh well there are still six weeks to go.

By the end of this challenge it will be April, and bright and sunny, and we'll all be reviewing our spring looks.

hots, sweated no more than usual.. this is really doing my head in.. been exercising 3/4 times a week since i started at the begining of jan.. am eating very few treat.. only having a couple of small glasses of wine a week... feeling like i am in a permanent state of hunger.. tho getting enough calories in for what i want to lose.. i just am not seeing any of the results...

guess i will give it one more week and if its worse/no change thinking of coming off the hot mamas and getting it out of my head for a bit as its turning me into a moany/whingy cow

alittlebitshy · 05/03/2010 13:13

loti i do think that weighing more than once a week can be detrimental. not only do you get obsessive about it but you read a lot into ups and downs which if you only weigh once, you can't as much. do i make any sense ?

VintageGardenia · 05/03/2010 16:13

Oh loti sorry you are feeling so crap. I can't believe you habitually eat as I do on my diet without the carbs and don't bleat on about it daily as I do. It's really disheartening when it doesn't shift, and you do so much exercise (take my pizza hat off to you on that score). I am boring for Ireland on the subject of weightloss, dp is every time I mention it and dives under his pillow, I know where you are coming from.

luckoftheirish · 05/03/2010 16:43

thanks for the advice ALBS will try and not weigh now til next friday..

and for the pat on the back vg ..

did my 21km on bike at lunch when dd2 was asleep in 32 mins and did my sit ups all whilst watching cooking programme ..

after a crap start to the day its wine o clock soon and i'm definitely indulging

QueenofDreams · 05/03/2010 17:27

Hi ladies, first time I've been able to get on here all day.
Weighed in this am at the leisure centre and I am up by 1lb. sod it. So I feel your pain LOTI - I have felt constantly hungry these last ten days, and got more exercise than I have in years, and I've put on weight.
On the other hand, I am getting towards the end of my cycle, so that might account for it.
Done one hour today with friend from bf group, so fingers crossed for next friday and seeing some weight come OFF.

alittlebitshy · 05/03/2010 20:13

queen the first week is the hardest (and least productive). i lost 1lb i the fist week and was both pleased and "wtf ish". I reckon it will start falling off next week. and the hunger will get better!!!!! promise.

VintageGardenia · 06/03/2010 09:43

Keep it up.

Ran 6K yesterday, thank goodness, a good way to end the week. Heels sore today though.

Went to Milano - Pizza Express - last night and had a very uninspiring and pretty much tasteless chicken salad while the boys gorged on doughballs etc. ds1 is currently mixing up pancake batter for breakfast... haven't the heart to tell him I can't have flour...

down 1lb yesterday. pleased, but after 2 weeks of 3lb losses it felt a bit pitiful. dh has lost his first (only i think - only lbs to go now) stone ]envy]. I have lost 11lb in total now which i know is fabbo!!

did have a bit of a pig out last night but nowhere near like i would without even thinking when i was pre-diet. we had fish finger sarnies for dinner (had them loads when preg with ds and not since), then i had about a third of a box of maltesers. mmmmmm.
