Here we are, thanks Cyteen for the excellent title although it's slightly false advertising on my part

Just cycled 11 miles in 31 minutes

Hots, I must say how bloody fantastic you are at motivating yourself to get on your bike at home, especially after a hard day's work. I almost managed to talk myself out of it 3 times and very nearly went to the extreme length of asking DH is he wanted an afternoon shag rather than me get on the bike . I didn't and he is now playing in the snow with his Landrover, so probably happier

dizzycringles · 21/12/2009 16:05

ROFL - Sazz you crack me up

not going great here, 2lb up but a touch constipated (sorry tmi) and got my period - have also just eaten pringles after a horrific red mist moment at poor poor DH who frankly doesn't deserve a loon of a wife home made soup for tea tonight - its in the pot all made and everything so I should manage

SazzlesOnASled · 21/12/2009 20:04

Awww, you ok now Dizz? DH got sharp shrift this afternoon whilst i was trying to do some baking and it made me suspect my period is due too [really ought to keep track of these things emoticon]

Porridge for breakfast, minestrone soup and 1/2 slice bread for lunch and DH creating something from chicken and dead mushrooms for dinner

dizzycringles · 21/12/2009 20:10

not really Sazz, I'm up and down like a yoyo today for some fecking reason - all very perturbing for the girls and poor poor DH

dizzycringles · 21/12/2009 20:10

but thank you for asking I think an early night is called for, just me and Peter James and his new Roy Grace novel

SazzlesOnASled · 21/12/2009 20:14

Sounds perfect . Hope tomorrow brings more festive cheer for you all

dizzycringles · 21/12/2009 20:19

was going to be but dd2 back up

cyteen · 21/12/2009 20:25

Just saw this in Active Convos and snorted at my cheesy thread title So here I am. Not making any promises about anything till New Year, tbh - December has always been my 'month off', being birthday month and all, so although I'm looking and feeling particularly unsvelte at the moment, I'm also not haranguing myself about anything.

Plan is:

  1. Enjoy Xmas and New Year.
  2. Have a fitter, healthier January with less booze and more exercise (yoga/running).

I'm going wedding dress shopping at the end of Jan so that's my motivation to get back in the game!

SazzlesOnASled · 21/12/2009 20:27

cyteen we LOVE your thread title thanks . Always a space for you here and hopefully we can help you towards being a stunning bride in 2010. Not that you need much help obviously

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 22/12/2009 08:44

Oh HotMamas I am a bad girl

No ExerSazz since Wednesday night, plenty of bread, crisps and mucky beer but miraculously only 2lb up on Friday

Off for a traipse round town this morning plus a bun in Caffe Nero but most of the fun things we wanted to do might not get done because my road is covered in thick ice so got to appease DD somehow.

Hope you are all doing OK, I will try and keep up here because I don't want to start slipping backwards again.

Sazz not till the weekend I think (I am not a weirdy stalker )

SazzlesOnASled · 22/12/2009 11:34

Just run 6k, 1 litre of water. Off out for lovely lunch with DH to undo all the good work

dizzycringles · 22/12/2009 14:57

well done Sazz {proud emoticon]

SazzlesOnASled · 22/12/2009 22:45

Proud for the running or proud for restraining Hots?

dizzycringles · 23/12/2009 00:18

lol, the running!!

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 23/12/2009 10:03

Still no ExerSazz here, although I did totter half a mile to and from the hairdresser's on sheet ice so did use some unusual leg muscles

Have yet to make crack open the baileys, and despite being hungry yesterday evening I didn't have any of the chocolate shortbread or rum truffles I was making so that is some progress. Drinking starts in earnest this aft though, have good friends and their two DDs coming round for some festive cheer so that will scupper me...

dizzycringles · 23/12/2009 10:06

and how swishy you look for it too Hots!! I had mine done on Mon so it was straight for 2 days, now back to its usual scrappy dragged through a bush mess !

SazzlesOnASled · 23/12/2009 10:18

I'm off out for lunch with NCT friends today. I turned down bacon & scrambled eggs for Special K as if i had been on the scales i fear my weigh in will not be good come Friday

Well done on absteining from the truffles and shortbread Hots. You see, even if we are being diet perfect we are being much better than before and that has to be a good thing IMO

dizzycringles · 23/12/2009 10:22

I went back on the scales again this morning and am pleased to say am back down from other morning - I thought so due to period etc but just wanted to check!!

enjoy your lunch Sazz, I've had toast and the end of your jam this morning for brekker

SazzlesOnASled · 23/12/2009 18:54

Hurrah for the declining scales dizz

Lunch was ok, although food a bit crap as a buffet so some a bit cold from sitting around. Still managed 3 visits though [severe lack of willpower]

dizzycringles · 23/12/2009 22:38

am not sure the maltesers are proving my will power to be strong tonight either

SazzlesOnASled · 24/12/2009 07:07

ffs +4 here . +3 just yesterday. Arrrrrggggghhhhhhhh. bollocks

SazzlesOnASled · 24/12/2009 07:08

actually only +2 over yesterday, not that it makes much difference

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 24/12/2009 08:51

Sazz I am +3, blaming it on booze and crisp water retention I have gone a bit crazy but no way have I scoffed an extra 10 thousand calories this week...

Looks like we will be walking to my mum's tomorrow so that should cancel out a few pigs-in-blankets

SazzlesOnASled · 24/12/2009 10:25

In complete horror at the scales I am hoping to go for a swim at lunchtime whilst the DD's are napping and DH prepping Xmas dinner . I am currently cooking the gammon and made cauliflower cheese for this evening. Yummy

How far is your mum hots, 10 Miles?

HotterTheRedNosedReindeer · 24/12/2009 11:05

Yes!
