Here we are, thanks Cyteen for the excellent title although it's slightly false advertising on my part

I did lots of trudging today if that counts (tentatively)

hotterpotter · 07/01/2010 21:51

And I ran (embarrassingly) half way across Leeds to catch my train which was then delayed by 20 minutes, grrr

right ladies, am 7+ not surprised really but starting in earnest today

D is 2 stone 2 (30lbs)
DD1 is 4 stone 7 (61 lbs)

willget back to you re DD2 when she's in a better mood that may take a few years, she's not much of a morning person

hotterpotter · 08/01/2010 09:03

Hey Dizz still +5 here so maybe we should kick each other's arses??? I did manage to swerve the chocolate croissants in Tesco this morning so not all bad.

Will still be having wine and crisps tonight and sticky toffee pudding but maybe slightly less than usual...

My plan is to be lower than my Christmas weight by the end of the month so 3 weeks to lose a bit more than 5 which should be doable

thanking you all for the advice re water only consumed 2 litres and don't feel so bloated today!

thinking that your weight gain from yest sazz is water rentention.. same goes for u hots and dizz... that what i always say to myself..

hotterpotter · 08/01/2010 13:01

At least one of us is doing OK then Loti! Sazz what did you have for your tea???? You know this is temporary but still that's not a nice birthday surprise

I have been having a little play with my weight 'loss' chart (will have to rename it I think ) and the first time I got down to my current weight was around 22 September The first four months were going down so prettily but ever since I went on holiday it has all gone to pot

Must. Try. Harder.

Just saluting the thread. Running tomorrow hopefully if roads clear and family will entertain themselves under dp's rule.

Good work LOTI!

Chin up everyone. Secretly a bit relieved others are a bit up too as makes me feel a bit better but hoping we will all have good news next week.

luckoftheirish · 09/01/2010 07:36

vg hope you enjoy your run...

the weather has well and truly stuffed my plans this week.. have been managing to do a tiny bit of pilates every day but nothing to write home about!

must try harder

VintageGardenia · 09/01/2010 10:40

Stuffed my plans too can't get to gym, can't run on road.

lwfhthevampireslayer · 09/01/2010 11:05

terrible few days with food. meals out and lots of junk food. Weight now 12 stone (Sat morning up from 11 3/4).

aaarghhh.

off for a walk now and DH around all weekend so hopefully back on track in a bit.

VintageGardenia · 09/01/2010 22:00

Wonders will never cease, I DID get up to the gym and ran 8K in 50mins, rather frighteningly skidding sideways down the sloping gym driveway on the way out in the car, so perhaps not the brightest idea in the world after all. Feel tons better for having run though.

Longway don't forget how soon post-birth you are ducks.

VintageGardenia · 09/01/2010 22:02

longway sorry that sounded a bit daft of course you are unlikely to forget that! I just mean be KIND to yourself. I found it very difficult to control eating after birth - when on my own I didn't eat, then ate entire cinema-sized bags of Minstrels, etc instead of supper - then when other people were around eg dp, my mum, they cooked vast meals to feed me up, which I DEVOURED.

VintageGardenia · 09/01/2010 22:03

Oh God.

I am too tired to type sense.

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 22:04

well done VG, I'm personally in hiding

VintageGardenia · 09/01/2010 22:04

Longway - I hope you know I do not mean that I think you are eating my bodyweight in Minstrels etc. Merely that I found postnatal eating rather erratic.

dizzydixies · 09/01/2010 22:11

I shall take that on as an endurance challange - although I doubt I'd get Hots and Sazz's approval
