Here we are, thanks Cyteen for the excellent title although it's slightly false advertising on my part

morning...

consumed 3 litres of water(with my juice) yesterday!!!

weather not great so no gym for me today.. gutted.. may try and do a bit of pilates at home if i can get dd2 to sleep in the day.. hit and miss tho...

did anyone see "my big fat diet show" last night?? i was amazed how little 100 calorie are... have been known to scoff half a tub of pringles when the wine is flowing... but since a mere 9 pringles are 100 calories.. i don't think i'll be having any more!!!

I would be very careful channelling me Sazz as you could end up eating a caramel kitkat, garlic bread and mucho left-over Christmas chocolates rather than biking

Back to work today though, so have got bag full of apples and salad and have already had a good brisk trudge through snow. I may put off ExerSazzing until Friday and go for a swim, but we'll see. At least there won't be any more chocolate...

Loti I love pringles too but only at the weekend

Sazz - when you said last night you were going to bike - I had an mage of you going up and down your hills all wrapped up in 10 inches of snow I knew you were dedicated but that was taking it a bit far!! Then I realised you meant the exersazz bike

Sazz you will be aching tomorrow I really hope it doesn't snow again, although we keep having more so I wouldn't count on it...

I was really going to do some biking tonight but DS was quite unsettled and I didn't want to risk waking him so have put it off. Have been pretty good - cereal, salad then tuna pasta sauce for tea but with a baked potato instead of pasta. The only naughty was two small squares of dark choc which I am a bit about but it's a big improvement on the last 2 weeks...

i also gave into the wine last night.. i my defence had the day from hell with dd2 who is teething and i have had no time to myself properly since oh i cannot remember ..

did some pilates at home although wondering if it counts as had 21lbs of baby crawling and jumping all over me at the time .. must try harder..

oh still consuming my 3 litres of water/splash of juice but its making me feel really bloated.. is that suspose to happen??

VintageGardenia · 07/01/2010 09:00

LOL at alpaca poopscoop!

I've not been weighing for a bit but December was a washout runningwise - thought I was ok foodwise though - and I have only just started again (albeit with gusto). However I have just weighed & noticed I am half a stone - HALF A STONE - UP on the last time I weighed however many weeks ago that was.

So some serious corrective action needed. How the f did that happen, I was NOT cramming in the Roses etc over Christmas... A few more drinks that usual is all, a few glasses of wine per night for about a week.

Could weep.

Only thing keeping me going is that I can still run.

VintageGardenia · 07/01/2010 09:01

Re feeling bloated if you mean in the stomach, ie your tummy feels really full, I think that is bound to happen. 3 litres is really a lot by volume.

My doc and various have recommended 2 litres - did someone rec 3 to you loti? Don't think I could manage another 1.

luckoftheirish · 07/01/2010 09:23

vg.. thought the more u drank the better.. but i guess 3 litres is a heck of a lot.. drank 4 on tues so that is maybe my problem.. will reduce to 2 today and see if that makes a difference...

sorry to hear your 1/2 stone.. could it just be water retention?? well a bit of it anyway?... i am not the greatest eater in the world and i have managed to gain 5lbs.. not sure why/how and it is also really getting me down

2 litres is recommended, we had to drink 4 when on LL (I think, I have hazy memory at best) but that was special circumstances

VG I agree with Sazz and at one point I was +6, am now +5 but will have to start working on that, am finding it hard though. Phoned the gym last night so just have to bite the bullet

on that note I've a cake to bake today

VintageGardenia · 07/01/2010 13:48

Hmmmmm thanks guys for your kind words. You are all so nice I don't know what I'd do without you.

Frustrasazz today. Had arranged creche for ds2 and facial appt for mama (there is a salon at the gym) so I would be free to run. However school is CLOSED today so had to bring ds1 as well & while my mum got her face done & ds2 played, ds1 and I went to the pool, so I did a whopping 4 or 5 lengths and then Family Time was over .

Yes I think some of my gain could be water but really can that add up to more than a pound or two?

4l water is massive, I'd be afloat, or living in the loo.

dizzydixies · 07/01/2010 14:03

VG when I was on LL I was living on the loo but then its a huge part of it

hotterpotter · 07/01/2010 14:47

VG that is a bugger . I am +5 from before Christmas but know exactly why - crisps, wine, chocolate, wine, no exercise, beer, bread, wine etc

Trying to be good now though. The nicotine cravings are pretty much gone now which eases the desire to snack, and the misery when I step on the scales is spurring me on. Have had shreddies and salad again today plus half a bushel of apples (and 2 small chocs ) Will drink a couple of big glasses of water at teatime and await tomorrow's weigh in with interest...

Loti don't drink too much water, especially all in one go as it can actually be fatal! Also does your DD really only weigh 21lb mine weighs 35lb [meep] He is too fat to go in the sling now maybe i should get him on this thread or send him to Bonsoir's house

gosh, should I weigh the kids and report in with theirs too - v funny re the other thread Hots!!

Sazz, its more about the money than the time although that will be a huge factor - unfortunately variable shifts doesn't allow for a regular pattern and DH has two very large essays due on 1st feb which he is intent on ignoring

its also £59 to join up and £29 each month after [meep]

will have a think tonight as I have to sign up for 12months and not sure if thats an option at the minute

dizzydixies · 07/01/2010 16:57

that sounds like am making excuses doesn't it I'm not I just have to wait until we work out what the feck we're doing. If this girl is starting with us and I'm happy to leave the kids with her perfect. My break at work should now be an hour long as we'll be working 10 or 11hr shifts so I could nip down to do a half hour circuit once I'm more familiar with it.

its all ifs and buts in this house at the minute and its driving me crazy

Sazz I've two offers to choose from

  1. 75% off the joining fee, bringing it to £30 and to pay from Jan £29 per month
  1. or a one off rate of £50 joining fee and nothing to pay till Feb

doesn't take a genius to work out that they're wanting £59

I was only teasing about weighing the kids because of another AIBU thread from earlier on that both Hots and I had obviously read!

will have a think about it all

hotterpotter · 07/01/2010 21:20

Dizz that sounds like an awful lot of money to pay, especially with your manic busy life when you might have trouble going very often. Is there any way you can just fit free exercise into your day - even power walking at lunchtime or doing an exercise DVD at home?

I have wussed out of any exercise this week and now find I have a training course to go on tomorrow so no swimming. Oh well, one thing at a time, and I have been quite good foodwise today.

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 07/01/2010 21:23

hots the silly thing is that if I up my working week I could probably go as we'd get an hour break and I could do it then

my brain is going to melt - at least if I lie on my side it could drain out and loose me a few pounds!!!!

hotterpotter · 07/01/2010 21:25

Sazz my back is very of your dainty DDs. I only weigh mine when DD asks cos she likes being 'measured' and DS loves sneaking into the shower cubicle where the scales usually are (it's the only place the floor is firm and level...)
