Have been doing my wii-fit reigime for about 2.5 weeks solid now. I start with 10mins super hula hoop, followed by 2 attempts at the step plus, and then either do the 10min boxing or do a mixture of muscle workouts and yoga poses... tatal around 30mins workout per day.

Have so far lost around a stone in total, averaging just under 1lb a day...

Have also dropped a dress size.

started as a size 14-16 both top and bottom... have large boobs so dont expect to be smaller than a 12 up top by time i finish but want to be a 10 on my waist... so i'm wearing a size 12 dress today, and all my designer size 14's that didn't even zip up before i started are now perfect on me...

I'm on a real high and have also started watching my calorie intake for the first time in my life... and BF DD2 who is nearly 9mths, but she's only taking about 5 feeds a day so not sure what that will burn...

Dont want to loose spirit throughout xmas so would love some friends to help keep me on the right track!!

cantmummyhaveabreak - I hope you and DH are feeling better soon.

Diege · 20/11/2009 16:17

Hello! Just popping in to say hello and let you know house stress is over (for now); we have exchanged contracts and will be moving in 2 weeks! I'm going to have a take-away and a mars bar tonight then I'm back on SW!!!! (until moving day at least!).
Shall we do a list of stats so that we can keep track of who's lost what?

genieg · 20/11/2009 21:29

Fantastic news Diege - enjoy your takeaway!!! Bet you are so proud of not caving in.

Been v busy last couple of days. Was 9.11 this morning so 2.5 pounds gone since Monday. Being very virtuous but just realised its only 5 wks to xmas today so not sure I'll get to my first mini goal of 9.5 by then but hopefully 9.7. Then at least I'll start the new year saying I've got a stone to lose (would like to lose more but like the stone in the new year goal!). Not toooooooooooooo worried about xmas. If i give myself permission to loosen up a bit hopefully can fight the urge for complete bing.

Hope everyone else has good weekends. Might be a tricky one for me foodwise with quite alot of socialising but don't want to ruin this week's good work.

Oh yes Diege can def do stats but what kind do you want ? Something like

Genieg
Start weight - 9.13.5
Goal weight - Less than 8.7
Loss so far - 2.5

Chica31 · 20/11/2009 21:50

Hiya,

I am desperate to lose weight. DD is 6 months exactly today and I have managed to put on 11 lbs in that six months even-though I am EBF. I am starting DD on solids next week so I am sure that will help even less.

I am the same and often forget to drink as I don't get thirsty. I often think I confuse hunger for thirst so I will try to start drinking more water tomorrow. My diet at meal times is very good, my huge problem is snacks. I eat when I am bored, food eaten when no one is looking doesn't count in my opinion. (grin)

For snacks today I have had a chocolate donut AND a chocolate ice cream AND DH made french toast with cooked apple and pineapple this evening.

I am 15 stone 3 pounds!!!! at the moment. I am 6ft tall, but that is way too heavy!

Please keep me going every one, I am going back to work in January too, I need to start fitting into my clothes again, I can't afford a new wardrobe.

Diege · 21/11/2009 08:57

Morning! Thanks GENIEG! So happy we've got our new house as it's perfect for us (4 beds, massive garden, playroom). I've got 4 DCs and at present we just have a canal for a garden, so desperately need that 'extra room'. Hope you can keep off the bad foods this weekend, although I do think a day of just eating what you want doesn't do that much damage and mentally can keep you strong on other days! Just x-factor for me tonight, though again temptation is to munch throughout!
Welcome CHICA! Returning to work in Jan too so desperate to get my figure back (well, lose the muffin top realistically, figure gone a long time ago) My weakness is snacking too, main meals are fine. That chocolate donut sounds good .

Right, stats!

Genieg: Start weight : 9.13.5
Goal weight - Less than 8.7
Loss so far - 2.5
Diege : Start weight: 10 stone
Goal weight - 8 stone 3 pounds.

No loss so far . Just realised I have actually put on this week (was 9 13 last week . Now that the house is sorted I can hopefully focus better!

genieg · 21/11/2009 16:59

Hi All & Welcome Chica - hopefully going back to work is going to kick us all into action!

Wow Diege 4 DC's and a new house, no wonder weight loss is not top of your agenda. Just try and focus on how much better you'll feel for it. I keep telling myself how great it will be not to be limited to my current 'uniform' of not very flattering jeans and long cardigans, also not being too embarrassed to take the DC's swimming (I have a really petite frame so the extra weight is all flabby roles, cellulite and weird uneven bulges after pregnancy two. Also I'd like to look forward to nights out without stressing about whether or not to go because of what to wear!

Yesterday was v good and lost another pound (don't be too impressed...I've had many many of these first weeks!) so now 9.10.

Went out for lunch but managed to just have some simple fish and rice as didn't have too many bad influences (ie no-one else ordering sticky toffee puddings!) Another lunch tomorrow but this will be MUCH more difficult as friends wife is fantastic cook and baker and serves the most fabulous portions of comfort food followed by slabs of cake! MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Hope you're all having a good weekend. My DC's are being uncharacteristically quiet after a long morning swimming.

Diege · 21/11/2009 17:28

Mmmm GENIE, slabs of cake...my mouth was watering after I read that! I know exactly what you mean about clothes. I am also petite (usually a sz 8 and 5' 2.5" - that half inch is important )and find exactly as you say - layers of flab that hang off me, so while I can squeeze into my size 8 skinnies my body does protest
Not much hope for me tonight - dh is bringing back a curry (the house celebrations continue...) but have to start being really strict now or will end up heavier than when I gave birth
Hope everyone is well and being restrained

cantmummyhaveabreak · 22/11/2009 17:44

evening... i'm going to do some wii-fit when the DC's are in bed i think- has been a bad weekend food-wise... And now i'm just wanting to eat as i'm anxious about DH's call- He's at the hospital with DD1 who we suspect has broken her leg!! My stomach is in knots as she was so heartbroken about having to go...

Will check in with stats etc asap.

And welcome to chica.

Morning! So glad dd is OK CANT (cross-thread!)
Determined to start off well this week. Feel so much better now we have the house and am trying to keep to SW to the letter. Have had cheese on toaqst so far (1 healthy extra A chouce, 1 B choice on SW) and will see what I can scrape together for lunch. Difficult as cupboards are empty and doing an internet shop later.
Just an idea, but shall we have a weekly weigh-in and post on our list the results? Any idea for best day? Maybe a Friday, or would a MOnday be better to start the new weeks? (just thinking about effects of the weekend ).

mummymels · 23/11/2009 22:21

Wow I have missed lots of chat since Friday. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Diege - congratulations on exchanging contracts and good news you don't have long to wait to move. Now the fun starts with the packing! I amenvious of your new house - it sounds lovely. I like the idea of a weekly weigh in.

genieg - Well done on the weight loss. You are doing so well. How did lunch go yesterday?

Chica31 - It's hard when you have a little baby. It's so easy to get into the habit of snacking. I was exactly the same.

cantmummyhaveabreak - Your poor DD1. How is she now? Is her leg broken?

My stats
Start weight : 14.10
Goal weight - 10
Loss so far - 1.12

Diege · 24/11/2009 09:44

Morning! MUMMYMELS you've done really well with weight-loss so far, very . I am awful; after a good start yesterday had a takeaway curry last night and have just had a piece of coffee cake for breakfast . I am usually so 'good' with healthy eating and stick quite well to it, but just can;t seem to get into it at the moment. Maybe when we're in the new house?? Def when I'm back at work! Find it hard at home with a 5 month old with the need to snack too great! Ocado van coming at 12 though, so can start again with healthy things

cantmummyhaveabreak · 24/11/2009 09:48

DD1's leg wasn't broken, but she has very bad tissue damage and still can't walk on it... Dr at hospital said she'll be back to normal within a week, and that she needs to start using it more within a couple of days.... so i'm giving her till tomorrow to start trying to use it again... have tried this morning but she's in too much pain still.. She's fine though and milking it to the max.

Did my wii-fit yesterday and had lost another 1lb!! wuhoo!!

Should my stats be from what i was before starting to loose weight? or from what i am now?

Cant's stats-
Start weight-
goal weight- 10stone? (just a size 10 clothes...)
Loss so far-

HI all - have to be quick as have friends from overseas staying this week. Am supposed to booking train tix for them. Well done everyone.

Diege - I know how you feel not being able to get started. I've done well in the last week and lost 4.5 pounds but took me ages and losts of false starts to get 'in the zone'. Don't know what was different this week - my prep meeting for work last monday prob. And posting on here is like a small celebration for every little loss without having to make a big deal in RL

Can'tm - so sorry about DD..hope she's on the mend soon.

Oh really must go just noticed time!!!!

mummymels · 24/11/2009 14:37

Diege - You have so much going on in your life at the moment that it's no wonder you are finding it harder than usual. Don't beat yourself up over it. Once things are a bit more settled you will find it easier again. I have never done so well on a diet before so please don't be envious of me. Normally I start them and cheat and stop for a bit and start again, you know the cycle. But I have found with Go Lower this time (I had never tried it before) it is so easy. I admit the first few days were hard but once I got into it I find it so easy now because I don't feel hungry. I never thought I would say I don't feel hungry and would have laughed before I tried it if someone told me I would feel like that.

cantmummyhaveabreak - That's good that your DD1 didn't break her leg but it sounds very painful anyway. I hope she finds some relief soon. Well done on the weight loss. I would love to get a wii fit but finances won't allow it at the moment. I am sure it would help my weight loss.

genieg - Have a lovely time with your friends staying.

mummymels · 30/11/2009 21:50

Hi everyone, it's been quiet on here the last few days. How are you all doing?

I know official weigh in day on here isn't until Thursday but I had my weigh in today so thought I would post it. I only lost 2lbs this week which is disappointing but on the plus side that makes it exactly 2 stone altogether now so I am pleased about that.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/12/2009 10:24

Morning- it has been quiet- i was very busy over the weekend as DH was off... he's back at work today tho so i can have my MN fix!!

Lost 3lb over the weekend... which takes my weight loss total to about 1st 8lb... (from begining of october)

Mummymels- 2lb is still good considering how much you've already lost!!

Cant's stats-
Start weight- 14st 10lb
Current weight- 13st 2lb
goal weight- 10stone? (just a size 10 clothes...)
Loss so far- 1st 8lb

OP posts:
mummymels · 01/12/2009 22:43

That's brilliant cantmummyhaveabreak. Was that 3lb loss just over the weekend?

cantmummyhaveabreak · 02/12/2009 09:41

the 3lb loss was between weighing myself on friday morning and weighing myself yestesterday, so 3lb in 3 days!!

Have stayed the same today though... so may end up that it's only 3/4lb in the week but it's better than nothing!!

OP posts:
mummymels · 02/12/2009 20:44

That's brilliant losing 3lbs in 3 days. Well done. Still over a week that is great too and I suppose it would be hard to keep that going every single day so you have done brilliant.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 03/12/2009 13:28

thanks mummymels. I'm starting to notice the difference when i look in the mirror too now- all of a sudden my double chin has slimmed out, and i can see the old me again!!

OP posts:
mummymels · 03/12/2009 21:21

that must be such a great feeling notcing the difference in the mirror.

I think it is starting to get noticeable with me now. I think maybe my face isn't so round now. I really need my tummy to disappear too but I think I will need to do exercise for that really.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 07/12/2009 08:03

so tally for this week is i've lost another 1lb so thats 4lb loss in total for the week. Wuhoo!! If i keep this up i may be about 12.8st by xmas!! Thats fab!!

OP posts:
mummymels · 07/12/2009 22:18
