Hiya, I had a baby in July and I have been gorging ever since in the false belief that I can eat what I want since I am breastfeeding Well no weight is shifting (surprise surprise) so as from tomorrow I am cutting out the crap and going to try to eat healthily again.

I am currently 9st 10.5 lbs and aiming to lose about a stone to get back into my pre pregnancy clothes. Anyone want to join in the fun?

I've had a fairly good day again...

Brek- 2 weetabix & SS milk
Snack- apple
Lunch- french onion soup & a bagel with cream cheese
Snack- a packet of wotsits
Dinner- mackeral with cream cheese & tomato pasta, piece chocolate cake

Ok well the wotsits and choc cake aren't exactly healthy but at least I didn't have seconds or thirds which is what I would usually do!

How is everyone else doing?

must confess that i was reeally naughty and had an indian take away tonight but hopefully eating healthily throughout the rest of the day, spending the whole day walking and have a good dvd session will level it out.

To help me tomorrow I have meal planed for the day. that way i dont think i will cheet. also im going to be spending the day gardening so hopefully keeping active and busy will help me from being bad.

Im trying to eat better. im noticing a difference in my energy levels already which is good.
I bought some acai berry stuff today too as it is supposed to help with digestion, matabolism and energy levels. Lets hope they help.... theyre also supposed to help wih weight loss but i think that could just be a myth.

anywho..... looking forward to tomorrow to a full day of GOOD BEHAVIOUR and im going to make sure i have breakfast and loads of water

Ilikeyoursleeves we're off to Costa del Sol for October week

well since I said I wanted to join you all I have not been the greatest, although it is my time of the month and I find it hard to control things.

Breakfast:Boiled egg and slice toast with spread
Snack: apple, packet of snack a jacks
lunch: will be chicken salad
dinner: Fish Pasta (which is lazy tea, boil in the bag fish in butter sauce, boil some pasta and frozen peas, when they are all cooked mix them together) its about 14 checks on Scottish Slimmers which will be approx 350 cals and its filling

Tryin not to have any more snacky stuff this evening.

MummyDoIt · 04/09/2009 14:08

Afternoon all! I've had a good couple of days.

Yesterday - crunchy nut cornflakes with skimmed milk for breakfast, soup for lunch (one of Sainsbury's Healthy Eating range so low fat) and a sort of risotto for tea made with some brown rice, leftover gammon and veg. No snacks at all. Today I had the same breakfast and have just had a ham salad wrap for lunch.

I shopped today and managed to resist filling the trolley with treats. The only thing that sneaked through was a pot of Coronation Chicken which I love on a jacket potato.

I also haven't had any alcohol since Sunday. I had got into the bad habit of having a glass of wine or two most nights over the summer holidays so that's a big difference.

Not sure how the weekend will go as we're visiting friends. I'll have to eat whatever they cook and there's bound to be wine. I'll just have to try to stick to small portions and hope for the best.

whyme2 · 04/09/2009 16:30

Sounds like everyone is doing well. I've been good too, have managed three days with no evening snacks which is a miracle. I went shopping to day and bought good foods after doing a meal plan.
I've also cut out alcohol, this will be hard tonight as dh is working and there is lager in the fridge.

spookycharlotte121 · 04/09/2009 17:24

hey ladies..... so far so good today..... ate breakfast..... still need to work on the water though.

Am going to go out and cut the grass once the kidss are in bed so hopefully that will stop me snacking :D

weighed myself earler..... still weigh exactly the same!!! but hey ho im feeling a lot better in myself so that has to be somethign

my mum is coming over for dinner this evening so Im going to cook something nice. Hope everyone else has a good evening and that the weekend doesnt present too many temptations x

ilikeyoursleeves · 04/09/2009 19:50

hi all, it sounds like everyone is doing really well, let's keep it up!

today i've been pretty good again, ish....

brek- bagel with lowfat spread and cuppa
lunch- half bag of peanuts (I was in the car and starving, figured although peanuts are high in fat at least they have some nutrition!)
snack- mango smoothie
dinner- salmon sandwiches and red pepper soup, packet of minstrels

i'm allowing myself some choc each day so i don't feel too deprived, i totally savoured each minstrel tonight which is such a difference as i usually eat a family bag size and don't even notice it!

i'm going to try not to have anything else tonight...

oh and i had a good workout today too, i walked round town with ds2 in the sling for about 2 hours plus took ds1 to jo jingles this morning which was a workout in itself!

have a great weekend all! anyone doing anything exciting? we're staying in cos it's peeing down ALL weekend AGAIN x

ilikeyoursleeves · 04/09/2009 21:15

OK I think I'm going to try not to actually lose any weight now cos I just read about 'dieting and breastfeeding' and losing weight before 2 months and when exclusively BFing can affect milk production and potentially release toxins into your milk YEEKS! I don't want DS2 to be affected by my yearning to get back in my skinny jeans so I've just gone and made myself a bagel and peanut butter and I don't feel bad about it!

I am still going to try to eat fairly healthily though ie, still no gorging on a full tub of Pringles in one go etc so I'll stick about if that's OK. I'll do a weigh in too to see if BFing alone makes any difference...

Hi, where did everyone go? Hope you are all doing well this weekend!

My weekend has not been very healthy to say the least... last night we ended up getting a Chinese (at least it had pineapple in it) then I had a donut for afters . But I had been good the rest of that day and had a salad for lunch. Today I've had shredded wheat & raisins for brek, a tuna sandwich for lunch and just now I'm having a much needed sit down with a cuppa and a cookie (just the one!).

We went out with the DS's today but DS1 took a flaky in a cafe so we left without ordering anything. He isn't long walking so just wants to walk ALL the time, good on one hand but not so good when you are trying to sit down for lunch argh! Oh well at least it's exercise chasing him about LOL

weekend went so so..... ate too much but it was good wholesome food so im hoping it wont have made too much of a problem. Am not feeling very well atm.... think its due to the reduced does of AD's and i have very little energy.... spent most of today sleeping!

Looking forwards to tomorrow nights weigh in!!! Good luck everybody! x

spookycharlotte121 · 08/09/2009 20:28

Heya.... just checking in and Im pleased to say that I have lost 2lbs i think.... my scales are a little unreliable so Im going to borrow my mums posh digital ones for a week or two and hope they will give me a more reliable weight.

ilikeyoursleeves · 08/09/2009 21:30

Hiya, that's great that you have lost 2lb Charlotte! Hope you are feeling better and have a bit more energy now and a boost from your weight loss.

I have lost 2lb too yippeee! I'm just eating normally just now ie, not dieting but I'm trying to stop eating massive amounts at night. I was peckish there and almost cracked open a huge bag of Walkers Sensations but I had a Solero ice cream instead (99 calories rather than the >700 that are in the crisps).

Hope you have a good week! x

OP posts:
hayes · 09/09/2009 17:35

I have had quite a good week which I'm pleased about .... I'll weigh myself on Friday at my mums (thats a week from last time I stood on the scales) I was 11 6 last week. Would like to be under 11 stone when I go on holiday 4 weeks on Sunday and think this is def achievable. well thats what I'm thinking

glad to hear of the weightlosses here, hopefully I'll add to it on Friday

echofalls · 12/09/2009 02:19

ok ladies hope you are still with me! Weighed myself at mums and I am 11 stone 3 so a weight loss of 3 pounds this week, really pleased with this. How is everyone else getting on?

spookycharlotte121 · 14/09/2009 13:10

heya have been off the radar this week.... lots of get togethers and parties so im not expecting to have loast any weight.

Kids havent been sleeping either so i have been vegging out on the sofa most days due to a lack of energy. However they both slept through untill 8am this mornign so hopefully we are back on track!

Am going to do some exercise this afternoon so hopefull the damage wont be too bad

Im not going to stress over it.... last week goes to show that if i eat the right things I can lose weight.

Hope everyone elseis doign ok

ilikeyoursleeves · 14/09/2009 19:43

Hi all, well done to you Echo on your recent weight loss and sounds like you are still in great spirits Charlotte despite being sleep deprived! Parties sound fab, I can't remember what it's like to be out in the evening LOL. How did your weigh in go on friday hayes?

i'm doing ok so far, i've managed to avoid pigging out at night, only had one night when i ate my way through a family size bag of walkers sensations oops so hopefully my weight tomo will be good!

Hi everyone, seeing you all doing so well inspired me to join this thread......doing WW at home(cant get out for meetings...)> Had ds in july and, same as you ilikeyoursleeves have piled on the weight in the belief that bf'ing will make it all go away....currently weighing 10st 3lbs....target 8st 7lbs.

ilikeyoursleeves · 15/09/2009 20:17

Hiya and welcome to Boodlerpoop! congrats on your ds, when did he arrive? my ds was 21st july. hope you aren't too sleep deprived!

i'm happy to report that i've lost another 2lb this week! i'm not eating in the eve after dinner and also cut out my usual slice of toast with peanut butter i was having after my cereal each morning so all that seems to be making a difference. oh and i also stopped clearing ds's plate each day... i'm eating normally other than that so i'm not feeling too hard done by.

hope you are all doing well and feeling fab! x

ilikeyoursleeves · 15/09/2009 20:24

ilikeyoursleeves · 17/09/2009 20:22

How spooky Boodlerpoop! My DS had his first jags today and is sleeping it off now in between wailing his wee head off, awwwww

Well yesterday wasn't so good for me, we ended up getting a Chinese in at night (again! We only had one last week!) but I've been a bit better today. Today I have had:

Brek- 2 slices toast with marg and wafer thin ham

Lunch- 2 slices toast with pate

Dinner- grilled trout with rice & veg then half a Time Out

Ooops just realised I've had nada fruit today. It's DH's birthday tomorrow and he's talking of getting a Dominos in so tomo will probably be a very off day too! But hey, it's his birthday (and I've bought chocolate cake!!! YUM)

How you all getting on?

OP posts:
Boodlerpoop · 17/09/2009 20:54

Ah jags are the worst thing! Think I cried more than he did when he got them!

today I had:
2 weetabix
2 x toast

banana
youghurt

egg
2 toast

1 ww choc bar....

about 700 cups of tea...:L

hmmm have just noticed that diet consists mainly of toast....oh well...

enjoy pizza 2 morrow!

ilikeyoursleeves · 18/09/2009 22:03

Well the good news is that we didn't get a pizza... bad news is though we got a curry instead! It was deeeeelish though, pakora, prawn bhoona and rice, oh and popadoms and spiced onions too YUM. And then chocolate cake. Cripes I bet I will be back up to my original weight now!

Oh well it's not DH's birthday every day!

OP posts:
spookycharlotte121 · 21/09/2009 11:20

hey ladies. Havent had a very good week. Again lots of meals out and parties.... everyone seems to be having their kids christened this week and the buffet food is always so yummy and hard to resist!

I have "borrowed" my mums scales so that I can accuratly weigh myself. (theyre staying with me! I like them too much to give them back!)

Am just generally trying to cut out more of the junk food.

I weigh 12stone 10lbs on these so Im not sure if i have lost weight or mine were weighing me too heavy but at least i can work down from that number now and not the crazy figures my scales were giving me.

hope everyone is doing well!
Dont forget to post on here.... we can keep one another motivated and push ourselves towards those goals!

once im down to 12 stone im going to treat myself to a massage i think! Am looking forward to it already!
