I'm too scared to weigh myself at home. I'd rather deal with any bad news at the weigh-in .

kid · 30/09/2009 17:57

I feel I have been very good. I haven't really managed to follow my menu plan, but I have been sticking to SW. Just been having boring old meals but at least they are SW friendly.

I did discover someone at work today is also on SW so hopefully we will be able to support eachother.

Usually I weigh myself constantly, but I haven't weighed myself since Monday and intend to stay off the scales until Monday too.

lechuga · 30/09/2009 21:45

I thought you could have Philadelphia light as a HE? I'm sure it was on the "latest Healthy extra" section of the website the other week but now I can't find it?
does anybody else remember this...and know how much you can have??? thanks xx

ConnieComplaint · 30/09/2009 22:37

Good going kids, that's day 2 down!! Keep at it now - it's good to see you're not losing motivation even with the changing menu!!

Mama - a girl at our SW class made those wee cupcakes tonight, they were gorg!! Though I didn't get to stay for group 'cos I had a teachers meeting, everything looked great!!

Lost 1.5lb this week So another 1.5lb & that's my 2 stone!! am doing a happy dance whilst eating a Mars bar

kid · 30/09/2009 23:17

ConnieComplaint day 3 actually, but who's counting

Those scales are sitting right there next to me, so tempting but I am determined to break bad habits and stay off them.

I don't know about the philadelphia, but the other amounts are usually 28g I think. Best to check with someone that knows though.

well done on your loss ConnieComplaint, thats a great loss.

tullytwo · 01/10/2009 07:53

I have apparently put on 3 lbs since my WI on monday-dont know whats going on as have been s good-have only had one gain since I started in May.

How can you put on 3 lbs in 3 days! Get so frustrated with this diet sometimes.

cantpooinpeace · 01/10/2009 08:01

I'm on SW - bloody lovin it - lost 24lb so far and as I die hard dieter can honestly say it's the best diet - EVER. I'm doing the extra easy plan - it's almost too easy!

StrawberriesandCherries · 01/10/2009 11:15

Well done cantpooinpeace - how long has that taken you? What do you typical eat for your meals, I need some hints!!

I wimped out last night, though tbh didnt have babysitter. It's been 8 weeks so am hoping this is just a bad week and will get back to it next week.

(Is LGSP having a little name change)

PurlyQueen · 01/10/2009 15:13

1lb off this week. Not too upset as I have lost eight pounds in 3 weeks.
I was expecting to lose a bit more until I found out how much milk is in a latte - even the skinny ones. A medium drink exceeds your milk allowance for the day .

cantpooinpeace · 01/10/2009 15:26

spag bol, shephards pie, cottage pie, jacket spuds, grill ups, chicken salad, veg curry, roasted veg cous cous, chicken and roasted tomato cous cous, veg chilli........ I find it doesn't really limit you. then again I will eat anything. Try buying the delicous food optimising days book it's about 4 quid and it's got loads of good ideas in.

I joined at the end of June btw

cantpooinpeace · 01/10/2009 15:34

Have you read the extra easy plan Strawberries? it's basically free meat bar sausages! free veg and free pasta, potatoes, noodles etc. But you only choose 1 from healthy a and b which is not difficult at all - good luck this week.

P.s. always have a treat on weigh in night, it keeps me going in moments of bingeness

Oh yeah and always poo pre weigh in (though not in peace obviously)x

AuntieMaggie · 01/10/2009 19:41

2lbs on...this week has officially been crappy.

anyway, here comes a new one!

yeah you can eat anything on this plan - you just have to adapt it.

ConnieComplaint · 01/10/2009 21:19

Aw Maggs hun - it'll go in no time, I promise xo Get your ass into the gym an extra day & it'll be grand.

Kid - my apologies...every day counts!!!

Tully - step away from the scales........... your weight can fluctuate from morning til night, that's why the weigh in should be at the same time (roughly) every week. And I usually try to wear either the same trousers or dress - I'm going straight from work so just stick lighter clothes on me that day!!

Cantpoo - wow!! That's brilliant! Well done

Does anyone know the p/word for this week? I walked out of class last night without writing it down - have text my consultant but got no reply yet & I want to update my progress chart.

kid · 01/10/2009 21:29

I made beef hotpot tonight, it was really nice and really easy to cook!

DH ordered an indian for him and the kids tonight but I was so good and didn't have any.
I also resisted the temptation of chocolate cookies and cakes at work today, how, I don't know, but I did.

Tomorrow will be okay, I just have to get through the weekend now. Its going to be tough, but I must keep to plan so I can have a good WI on Monday.

Reading of others success is really helpful. If gives me hope that I can do it.

cantpooinpeace · 02/10/2009 08:04

no soz we didn't have a proper meeting - leader was away so members did weigh in to avoid us all having a week off!

cantpooinpeace · 02/10/2009 16:02

is eating a cornetto , nooooooooooooooooooo

ConnieComplaint · 02/10/2009 21:28

what make of cornetto is it? There are only 8.5syns in one from a 6 pack. I have some in the freezer, can't wait to dig into it later!!

There are 11.5 in a whippy one.

cantpooinpeace · 02/10/2009 21:45

wooohoooo that's good news though think I'm well over my synnage today

kid · 03/10/2009 09:07

I had a takeaway last night. But it was chicken chowmein so I am hoping its still ok.
Anyone care to tally my syns?
weetabix (HEb) milk HEa
Fruit
Beef hotpot (potatoes, beef, veg) free on EE?
small wholemeal roll (would have been HEb but I changed to EE)
mullerlight yog
chicken chowmein (from chinese)

It should still be okay as I have been stingy on my syns all week. Please tell me its going to be ok, I just can't fail in my first week!

Circes · 03/10/2009 11:09

Lechuga - you can have soft cheese as a HE but only as a HEB and not on a red day I'm afraid.

You can have 85g extra light Phillie, 57g light Phillie or 42g ordinary Phillie.

sowhatis · 03/10/2009 12:04

Well, this week i only lost 1.5lb, but thats still 12lb in 2 weeks. next week im hoping for more off as i am down to 10 painkillers a day now and able to move around a bit more. im hopnig for 3 or 4lb, fingers crossed!

well done on everyones losses. so far sticking to EE 100%, although do have my ' i cant be bothered moments; i remember what i want to look like at xmas!!!!

next WI is tuesday, fingers crossed its better than last week xx

tullytwo · 03/10/2009 12:53

The people that stockpile their syns and have 70 for the week and then use them as and when-does it affect your weight loss at all doing it?

Seems like a good idea for the days when you dont use any and then other days when you fancy more but just wanted to make sure it worked ok.

ConnieComplaint · 03/10/2009 14:02

Kid, just add 6 syns for your small roll & you should be OK.

Your chow mein won't be anymore than 7 syns, though I don't have my book handy at the minute so will update again later.

P/word is salsa by the way, I asked my sister

littleoldme · 03/10/2009 18:37

Well having stuffed myself on hols for two weeks I have put on on no weight. Must be all that shoulder riding DS !

kid · 03/10/2009 21:53

I thought the chowmein was 7syns, so that would mean I managed on 13 syns, thats still okay.

Weekends are difficult as I am not at work and have easy access to food! I will try and be good though, will WI on Monday. Still haven't done any exercise, but will have to start that soon.
I made a lovely beef hotpot the other day which was lovely and so easy to make. So tonight, I made a chicken hotpot while the others had a pizza.

Is it ok to blow all your weeks syns at the weekend or is that not good for you?
