Felt rough as a gogs arse this morning. At least I managed to do the school run (walking as there is no way I felt safe to drive) Spoke to the othe couple at school pickup and neither of them made it to work today We really mustn't socialise on a school night.

Am sort of back on track today as had boiled eggs for lunch (top hangover cure) and will have some soup for tea tonight. Am sure that the damge will show on weigh in but had a fab time so it's worth it iykwim.

I love morrisons breakfasts too esp their scrambled egg on toast - it's mainly because it's doorstep bread with real butter on it.

RIAlityBites · 21/09/2009 19:09

I had their "ultimate" Breakfast - fry up with hash browns and fried bread, tea, toast and fruit juice for a £5. Am a bit picky about scrambled egg, because it's one of the fews things I cook well (DH loves me for my scrambled eggs, and he's a chef, so praise indeed!)

Quick question - do I have to do EE all week, or can I have one EE day mid-week? I know it's been asked before, but I can't remember

tammybear · 21/09/2009 19:34

RIA, ooo that sounds yummy. I said to DP when I finally hit my target, and have been on it for a few weeks, I want a huge fry up and to go to our fav Indian restaurant as a reward

Nikki, but least you thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Connie, well done you, I would never be that good, I'd be getting a cheesecake! Lol.

I've just realised what star week is I've heard of it before but didn't know or ask what it was, but have just worked it out haha.

I lost a lb today. Half a lb off my Club 10 How annoying! Lol. Although I did have a chinese takeaway last Tuesday but don't regret it

ConnieComplaint · 21/09/2009 20:19

Tammy - you'll hit the club 10 next week!!

Ria re: your breakfast! And your FB pix are gorgeous!! You looked beautiful, loved your hair!

Nikki - I know that feeling too well.. twas me last Saturday morning!

I feel ill today for some reason. Haven't been bad but feel like I have.

nikkid21 · 21/09/2009 20:20

I think that you can have EE as a one off day - the same as red or green. The important bit is that 1/3 of your plate has to be superfree.

Well done on the loss Tammybear

RIAlityBites · 21/09/2009 22:44

thanks connie

AuntieMaggie · 22/09/2009 19:46

Glad to hear you girls have been enjoying yourselves... fry up indeed

I managed to not have the chocolate cheesecake at todays meeting despite EVERYONE going on about how gorgeous it was. Helps that I eat slower than everyone else so that by the time I'd finished my lunch everyone else had finished their dessert!

I still think I'm in for a gain this week though - the weekend was just too nice not to have though the chinese I had gave stomach ache cos of the grease!

kristinaRIAnoff · 23/09/2009 00:00

well done on the cheesecake Amaggie. I know what you mean about greasy food. In a way it's a good feeling, because it reminds you that you are past that now, but unfortunately I react badly after the tummy ache, so that bit's not so great.

I have had an even worse day today. No excuse, but we had to take DS1s guitar through to his school for his first ever music lesson. His school is in a seaside town and DH suggested fish and chips looking out over the sea. They were super-delish (shared with DS3) but I did suffer.

On the 5 stone plus thread we are setting a goal for christmas, starting Thursday (3 months til christmas eve), although I am starting pretty much tomorrow as took previosuly prepared SW meals out of the freezer and they need eating.

Am loving my exercise bike though. (3 days in, novelty not worn off yet)

letsgostrawberrypicking · 23/09/2009 22:00

2.5 lbs off this week, just missed the stone but 13lbs in 6 weeks isnt bad! Have done more cycling and red days so will try to keep that up.

How's everyone else doing today?

Password is cricket btw

kristinaRIAnoff · 23/09/2009 22:59

well done strawberry, that's brilliant. Thanks for PW.

Been on exercise bike again tonight. Now having glass of wine to recover

Inadvertantly swallowed a midge while walking to the library (how many syns would that be? I'm on a green day). Nearly threw up in the street

letsgostrawberrypicking · 24/09/2009 08:51

Have just checked and the midge is free on a red day but 10 syns on a green - yuk you poor thing!! This exercise lark is fraught with dangers, best avoided as much as possible i think

kristinaRIAnoff · 24/09/2009 09:57

ah well, start again today then

It's 3 months til Xmas

I am doing EE today. Have had a cooked breakfast and i feel sick

Need to try and get the conservatory finished today, and somewhere else sorted. ANd I have to make scones for 2 MacMillan coffee mornings tomorrow. It's too sunny to wash windows

nikkid21 · 24/09/2009 12:04

You sound very good with your housework ria. I'm more of a slummy mummy type myself and as I work from home (I have a shop on ebay) I always find work to do rather than clean

WI this morning and lost 1 1/2 lb which was a surprise considering my wonky Sunday. It's the SW 40th birthday next week so we have to take 60's type party food into group. Am I the only one who thinks that it's stupid to take food into a slimming group ? Everyone tastes eveything but nobody counts the syns.

sowhatis · 24/09/2009 19:29

Hi All!

i have just joined and after the first week i lost 10.5lb! im doing EE. so far it is great, not having anywhere near my 15 syns everyday as im not craving the cr*p i used to eat!!

i have around 5 stone to loose (infact a bit less now!!!)

kid · 24/09/2009 19:35

I have to get back to SW 100%. I can't be doing it as and when I can be bothered as its not having any effect on my weight loss. It is maintaining my weight, which would be okay if I was a decent weight.

Any tips on some really good ways to boost weight loss. I don't exercise but if there is a good way I can assist a good start to give me a boost then I may be able to convince myself to do it.

I really need help!!!!!

AuntieMaggie · 24/09/2009 19:53

if you stick to it properly for a couple of months your tastebuds will change and you will feel less hungry - i can't eat/drin k many of the things I used to as they're too salty/sweet/artificial tasting.

exercise is good as it makes you think "i'm not going to eat that after the effort i've just put in"

tips to boost weight loss - eat plenty of fruit and veg and superfree and speed foods. and drink plenty of water.

kid · 24/09/2009 20:04

I always eat fruit, usualy 3 pieces a day at least.
I don't drink much water but I getting into the habit of carrying a bottle around with me so I can sip it all the time.

I was using the exercise bike, but its making my legs ache more than ever and I am finding walking increasingly difficult which I am putting down to the excess weight I am carrying.

Thanks for the words of wisdom.
I need to do shopping but might order it online to avoid picking up some unhealthy bargains instore.

ConnieComplaint · 24/09/2009 20:24

Sowhatis!! WOW!!! 10.5lb! Excellent - so well done I am totally though... it took me weeks to lose that amount!!

I lost 2.5lb last night so am pleased with that - 3lb to go until I reach the 2 stone mark!! and if I manage to lose 1lb this week I'll be down into the next stone bracket!! woohoo!!

everyone is doing great! I must try & get back into the gym this week.

kristinaRIAnoff · 24/09/2009 22:40

well done connie, and also of 10.5ln sowhat.

no exercise bike for me tonight. another/continuation of star week and I am feeling like someone has stuck a stick into a vein and drained all the energy out of me (I read too much James Herriot as a child)

started the day well, ended it failing miserably.

Have baked about a million scones for the Macmillan coffee mornings tomorrow (school and a relative) and as I had the oven on I made jam tarts, buns and a cake for the boys, plus some bizarre bun things my mum makes that the boys love that look like you've dropped them at some point. Haven't eaten any of it. Also made tuna, sweetcorn and mozarella pasties for the boys tea. For someone who hates cooking with a passion that is a pretty mean feat. Have dug Nigella out of the cupboard and am plannig my xmas fayre baking

sowhatis · 25/09/2009 08:00

Thanks all. im not expectig a great loss this next week as i have done my back in and i cant eve walk 10foot let alone 4-5miles with the dogs as i did everyday last week. Im expecting about 2lb off, and that will be fine, at least it is still coming off.

The good thing i think about SW is that you can eat what you want, ad as long as its within your syns thats great! i went out for a curry last week and had a veg curry, boiled rice and a poppadum, gorgeous! and i didnt feel as though i was depriving myself.

Well done on all your losses, long may it continue for all of us!!!

I think this is def a lifestyle change and im enjoying it so far and not missing any of the crap i used to eat in the evenings as im full from my dinner!!!!!

AuntieMaggie · 25/09/2009 14:53

sowhatis - that's how I feel about SW being a lifestyle change. As I said before my tastes have changed so much. I used to love things like batchelors rice/super noodles but now they taste too artificial to me after 6 months of cooking with fresh stuff and a lot of fizzy drinks are too sweet.

I am changing my habits too little by little - this week was the meeting where I resisted the biscuits and cakes and delicious stuff and had cod, potatoes and salad for lunch instead of sausage and chips!

This weekend, though I will be having a couple of glasses I will be trying to avoid the buffet table.

I think that I'm not only losing weight but am also benefiting from being much healthier - i've got more energy than I can remember ever having and am happier on the whole.

It doesn't happen overnight, and I do have times where I fall off the wagon (like my chinese on Friday night) but on the whole I feel much better!

sowhatis · 25/09/2009 20:15

Well done AuntieMaggie! Thats exactly what i feel like. im having a curry tonight, using 12.5syns for it and wll enjoy every moutful!! i think its all about balance and so far t seems pretty simple to me!

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 21:01

well done both of you - that is how I want to feel about it, but just don't seem to be there atm.

PurlyQueen · 25/09/2009 22:43

1.5lbs off this week. Not as spectacular as last week's 5.5lb, but I'm still quite pleased!

kristinaRIAnoff · 25/09/2009 23:23

well done purly. Off is better than on
