okay if you're sure you don't want to be ill like your poor dh. Your children need to know they can rely on you to always be there. (God hope that wasn't too harsh)

to be fair though it's bloody hard to diet when you're stressed out your head. So do a really easy plan. Try cutting out all the crap (that's what I should do too)

misdee · 25/05/2005 19:39

i like rice and pasta dishes. lots of heartwarming food. casseroles

but also love salads, but with creamy dressings.

dont like crisps and biscuits really, prefer ice cream, rice pudding etc.

too much stodgey food.

maybe start by just cutting back portion size and drinking loads of water

Can I just say that this is the greatest thread titled ever?

I find myself saying this at least once a day. I'm doing the eat-more-veggies/salad thing atm, but I know I need to exercise more as well, but I really can't be arsed

I'm 5'11 and weigh about 16 stone, I see it creeping slowly upward and I know I have to do something about it now I refuse to start buying things larger than a 20 (but I think I said that when I was an 18......)

misdee · 11/03/2006 18:26

i am still not done with this. I lost over a stone on LL in august, then Peter took a bad turn and i went back to my old comfort of food. i really am getting my arse in gear now, but am wondering, do you replace foods with their low fat/low calorie fake alturnatives (like fake choc) or just avoid all together?

Love the title Misdee Grin

When do you eat the most ?? Perhaps look at that. For example i cannot get through from brekfast to lunch and end up snacking on crap at about 10.30.

moondog · 11/03/2006 18:36

Misdee, you need to simplify the instructions you give yourself re losing weight.
First must be...don't buy crap, then you can't eat it.

misdee · 11/03/2006 18:41

thats why i havent gone shopping moondog Grin

It would be good to get in practice now for when Peter has his transplant as he will have to eat mega healthy for the rest of his life to get the best from it as some of the medications can increase your weight and cholesterol so you have to be extra careful.Don't give your self too much of a hard time though you have enough on your plate Start one day at a tome. Can I reccommend mashing strawberries into total 0% greek yoghurt and then stick it in the freezer tastes like yummy ice cream but no fat and really good for you xx

misdee · 11/03/2006 18:48

exactly noddy. we all know why its called the harefield hamsters after transplant, due to the steroids.

i am going stone by stone, aiming for around 3lb per week. need to lose 5stone.
