Not fat exactly..but not happy either. Just me? Anyone want to join in a friendly, motivational thread to lose a dew pounds?

Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

Have an idea!, a space hopper.

Play with the kids whilst simultaneously burn off calories (well that is the theory today). I've been out and got one and its ace having an absolute laugh with the kids.

donnacb ive cut out nearly all cups of tea and coffee apart from the odd one here or there, have replaced them with hebal teas and have found some nice ones also trying to drink more water. It's been over a week and my energy levels are returning don't feel so groggy. Definately reccommend it for trying to gain some energy back

my dd uses her spacehopper whilst i was on my excercise ball "copying" the video i'm following (i think its that distraction that causes my accidents, plus its annoying the way kids are so much more flexible)

cicagomum would reccommend you swap with dd. Give her your exercise ball ( if it's bouncy enough could bounce it round ike a bouncy ball) and you have the space hopper, if anything its guaranteed to put a smile on your face

Hi everyone, I must join in here, before kids I was an 8-10...slowly creeping to a 10-12 and now I am a ridiculusly tight 14 and am refusing to buy any 16s...so must lose some blubber(and it really is blubber) to get back into some of my trousers. When is weigh in day? I am about 11.3 I think need to be about 9.8 AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

Well I joined my slimming class today and am 10 st and 1/2 pound! Now I am really going to start trying now! Honest. I promise!

welcome everyone new! Charliecat, how tall are you? I want to be back nto about 9.7 (or even 9 stone....)
I'm having yet another day when I can't focus. Bizarrely my size 12 jeans falling off me now though. Am still a bloater up top - think I look really weird. Why is this happening?!

Well,ive blown it AGAIN!Went shopping today and ended up having a LARGE meal at macdonalds .I just seem to have ZILCH willpower!PLEASE,PLEASE ladies give me some tellings off cos im really not managing to do this dieting lark very well.Perhaps with everyone on my case it might give me a bit of a kick up the bum!I hate myself for being so weak and i really do need and want to lose weight.

Lucymoo me and you are/were the same weight...what are you now? Shall we stick togehter?
FWIW I ended up having 6 shortbread biccys and 4 digestives dipped in milk for supper...as well as a wee plate of chips and a stirfry....no crisps though, usually I would have crammed 3 packs into a day.

Hi lunachick applemummy and screwball mummy. Thanks for letting me join. Lunachick cant believe youve given up coffee. will try and cut down to one a day. Have started to try and walk in tyhe park to. Did it yesterday up a big hill nearly died but unfortunately spoilt it at a 1st birthday party and ate 2 donuts. oops. (they were nice) Will try and stick to salads next week. Hope everyone is doing well. not looking foreward to weigh in hope wont dissapoint on 1st week. have lovely weekend will post wednesday.

hello everyone
didnt know i had said i was giving up coffee(cant remember !) anyway i nearly have ive only had one cup all week -today and it sent me off on a big cleaning spree!!
ive stopped(trying to stop !) eating dairy have had tea without milk all week and rice milk in coffee was suprised to find it tasted good
no red meat either
ive given up smoking since thursdat (i only smoked 2/3 a day) hoping i wont gain too much weight but thats my excuse for the choc ive eaten this weekend(SHHHHHHHH)
very pleased that i have changed my diet to be healthier even if i dont lose this week -got to be better than crash dieting and then putting it back on-thanks this thread and everyone on it for giving me some motivation hope i keep it up-!!!

Hiya charliecat,i think it would be great for us to stick together.Im 5.5 and weigh 11st4,i think i should be 9st 7 to!I was that weight before my little lad came along and i used to be a size 10/12.Now im a size 14/16 more so a 16! I had been really good today until about 7.30ish when i ate agreat big pizza,it was bloody good though,im going to have to go and do a few sit ups to make myself feel better and chase away the guilt!

Biscuits are my downfall..i keep saying I wont buy any but I do I will get myself properly weighted on Wednesday and tell you what i am and where i wanna be...am refraining on the crisps though! I was ok before I stoped smoking, I started hanging off the fridge instead of out the back door!

Hi,how long have you given up smoking?I know i should stop and i have done in the past but at the moment i just have 1 in the evening to chill and a couple more if i ever have a rare night out!My main downfall is chocolate but takeaways are a close second!
