Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

oh yipee!! sorry moss but look at it this way the bath salts won't undo your hard work, the jelly beans will, its a conspiracy to scupper my chances for next week. the confusion has arisen due to my state of exhuastion - yet another night of teething last night (4 in a row) and then dd decided the day was going to start at 5.45am) both are asleep now ( the first daytime nap dd has had in 18months) i guess i should be lying down too but never got the hang of resting when the kids do

KBear · 09/06/2005 17:10

Oh I hate it when threads get bitchy over bath salts. Just don't eat them all at once.

ScrewballMuppet · 09/06/2005 17:17

Thats me told....those jelly babies sound nice chicagomum congrats on the loss of 5lbs and everyone else who lost weight too.

lunachic · 09/06/2005 17:35

lunachic · 09/06/2005 17:37

dinny · 09/06/2005 18:45

I've had about 1/2 a lb of brie for lunch today!

KBear · 09/06/2005 19:41

glass of white wine and yummy marinated anchovies on toast for me in a moment....
Can't focus! Hey, this is weird - my bottom half is really shrinking fast (a pair of my skinniest jeans that didn't fit me after my first child, even when weighed less than pre-preg) fit me now! But top half seems huge (I am breastfeeding ds, 9 months old). Why is that? Anyone any idea or am I just weird?

dinny · 09/06/2005 20:06

Mosschops - why? Dish the dirt, go on!!!

Lucymoo · 09/06/2005 22:04

Hi Chicagomum, well done for losing 5lbs this week.I hope you dont think me cheeky for asking for some MUCH needed tips!Do you really, really watch what you eat and do you exercise lots?I seem to be failing miserably at the moment, not much willpower!

applemummy · 10/06/2005 07:25

It is four days since I had my last penguin... actually having a very good week really just not eating between meals and upping the exercise. Going out to dinner tonight though... but you still have to have a life otherwise we'll up end up thin and crazy!!!!! Will just have to try and order sensibly and hopefully be too full for pudding

weesaidie · 10/06/2005 11:13

hey guys, sorry haven't posted this week, not doing well at all!

However have decided to join a slimming club today so hopefully that will help me find some will power!

donnacb · 10/06/2005 11:15

I know you guys are well into your weight loss program but can i join in too. Weighed my self this am 11 1/2 stones 7 months after birth nornally 10 stone. cant stop drinking mochas ( excuse breast feeding) hmm havent lost anything since initally weight loss. I have no will power. no real energy to exercise so if you feel like giving me a kick up the bottom every week that would be great. hope i can join

applemummy · 10/06/2005 11:42

lunachic · 10/06/2005 11:47

hello applemummy how many days now !

chicagomum · 10/06/2005 15:09

lucymoo, not magic advice really, i think the main thing is we haven't got a car out here, so i now walk everywhere, plus we have a pool in our appartment complex so we're in there every day (ds sleeps in his pushchair in the shade and dd bobs about in rubber ring and arm bands whilst i power up on down length after length - or at least that's my intention - its usually 5-10 lengths at the most and then i get bored) the only other thing is i cut out bread and take green tea tablets, i've given up on the excercise ball as i rolled of it and banged my head on the coffee table ( dh not best pleased as yet another diet/excercise purchase resigned to the back of the cupboard to gather dust)
