Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

6 months plus...i was a heavy chugger and its the best thing ive ever done...you should stop! Must dash dp wants on! Night for now x

hi5 · 12/06/2005 23:41

Sassy Marg, I've missed 2 weigh-ins since indicating i wanted to join in , in that time I have lost and gained, now dh is away for a week and I don't know if that is going to have a positve or negative effect on the scales!
What excuses have I got - I've had my legs waxed so swimming is on the agenda, I've walked to school with the children as often as possible..... but why did I eat the chocolate fingers??? Has anyone read the Paul Mckenna book about how he can make you slim - sorry if this has been mentioned on this thread already.

dinny · 13/06/2005 06:41

Hello, the Paul Mckenna book is v good - may go and dig mine out and read (obviously I didn't find it THAT good, else wouldn't still be on this thread!)
Right - go back to work 6 weeks today - how much weight can I lose in that time, you think...if am really really good???

applemummy · 13/06/2005 07:43

Good morning everyone

dinny i reckon you could do about two lbs a week which would be nearly a stone in 6 weeks which would be fabulous.

I read the Paul McKenna book but could never bring myself to listen to the CD...was worried about what he might be telling me if I fell asleep (very stupid I know but still couldn't do it........). The ideas in the book are such common sense.. eat if you are hungry etc..but if it was that easy to implement them we wouldn't be here.

Had a good weekend and hoping not to be in the virtual naughty corner on wednesday but then there are still two days to go.... still no penguins....

marjoriedawessassy · 13/06/2005 08:06

Hellooo ladies, hope you are all being good..
God, I've been crap the last few days. Went away for the weekend to a wedding up in the very beautiful co durham and ate my head off! Fried breakfasts, wedding dinner, cake, pppenguins on the journeys up and back (shh, don't tell our resident addict!). Dd1 was a bridesmaid and I nearly cried when she came tripping dwn the aisle in her big dress and tiara (proud mummy emoticon)and it was a FAB weekend but am DREADING weigh in on weds.
Hope you've all been better behaved than me!

applemummy · 13/06/2005 08:25

Glad you had a fab weekend majorie..when ds1 was a pageboy he got cold feet just as the wedding march started and even the most outrageous bribes would not get him following the bride..still he looked great (not in football kit for once) and had a great day...am sure wednesday will be fine and glad to see some understanding for my pppenguin problem

charliecat · 13/06/2005 10:22

Ive started the week good...walked from nursery to town so quickly my legs couldnt keep up with my head...managed to walk past burger king, mcdonalds and all the sweet aisles in superdrug, woolies etc and have came home to a bowl of special k..instead of the cheese on toast I was thinking about. [angel emotion]

weesaidie · 13/06/2005 10:36

morning ladies

Sounds like things are going well for you all so far. I am planning a very good day/week! Started this morning with some branflakes and semi skimmed milk! Ooh the excitment.

Applemummy, oooh, nearly a stone in 6 weeks would be nice! Will try and be good.....
Marjorie - you are truly like your namesake!

marjoriedawessassy · 14/06/2005 12:42

why am I like my namesake, dinny?
Is it cos I bully everyone else but pig out myself?

charliecat · 14/06/2005 15:46

Confessed at work that I am on a diet and it was decided to do a weigh in at work to motivate everyone so thats kept me on the straight and narrow.
What does everyone else eat?
Today I have had...half a salad sarnie for breakfast on the bus, one choccy digestive biccy, a vegetable hotpot and later on i will be having new potatoes salad and low fat coleslaw...so really i am just cutting out a few bags of crisps and a couple of bars of choccy and half a pack of biccys.

charliecat · 14/06/2005 15:46

oh and the other half of the salad sarnie before the chooccy biccy!

dinny · 14/06/2005 19:04

Marjorie - it is! Piling your trolley high with goodies, hey???

applemummy · 15/06/2005 07:31
