Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

Fantastic chicagomum..got to be some benefits to being up all night with teething small people..always makes me want to hit the biscuit tin

ScrewballMuppet · 08/06/2005 19:35

I need to go straight to the naughty corner have gained 1lb

LOL@applemummy with you there on the I must not eats

ScrewballMuppet · 08/06/2005 19:42

I love to eat carby things like bread, pasta, rice, cakes, biscuits, curries, pizzas. The main bulk of my diet is bread and pasta an drice oh and cakes not forgeting curries or pizzas.

Though the tuna salad thing was nice I just had.

I would like to loose as much as possible preferably 4lbs or 3 or even 2 and come to that point even one would be nice.

Realisation just hit me I'm gonna have to some exercising. Can't brave the swim pool I'm so pale. Ok my plan is to go to a gym local sports centre will do and ashamedly get some colour by shhh! going on a sunbed. Just till ahve a little colour. Then when fit back in swim costime and am not as white as a milk bottle I will swap gym for swimming.
Its quite good to think out loud makes the targets a bit more real. Excuse the babbling

KBear · 08/06/2005 20:58

I bought fake tan wipes from the chemist - fantastic. Easy as using baby wipes - I use them before I go to bed - wake up tanned just enough to look healthy not orange. Lots of people have commented on how well I look (. Healthier than sunbeds and much cheaper.

That's your no swimming excuse out of the window...

really, truly sorry Mosschops. Was just lurking because I would like to join if that is okay with everybody and was abit worried I weigh too much!! I'm just over 10 stone and would like to lose about half a stone so is it okay to join in?

KBear · 08/06/2005 21:18

Compo we are all about a stone or so overweight here, trying to get back in shape for summer but not serious weightwatchers really. You are of course welcome (Marjoriedawessassy - hope you don't mind me signing in the newcomers, I know you can get a bit shirty if I overstep the mark ).

Oh and we do have a no PPP PPP Penguin rule.

compo · 08/06/2005 21:19

thanks Kbear - a whaty rule?

See further down the thread - applemummy has a Penguin biscuit addiction we are trying to break!!

ScrewballMuppet · 08/06/2005 23:47

Tan wipes from the chemist doesn't it end up streaky? Which chemist? How long ids it before it comes off?

It does kind of blow my swimming excuse out the
water, okay I admit it am embarassed about shape.

I'm 8st11 which is robust for someone of petite stature I have a huge ass and stomach and after having the kids am almost flat chested. Look a bit like those wobbly toys that are round on the bottom and can bob everywhere.

Am just uncomfortable in my own skin. Its not me and am a little embarassed.
This week I will loose some of this podgy weight,

A big round of applause for chicagomum, our star slimmer this week! (Applause from all) Your prize this week is...5 virtual jellybabies, but please leave the black ones in the dish cos they're my favourites.
(slips out of character for a sec - I actually saw the 5 jellybabies as a recommended treat in a diet plan this week, as a substitute for a bar of chocolate. Hello - how is that a good swap?!)
Well done to all our well-behaved ladies, you can feel v proud of yourselves. Our total loss so far this week is 14lbs (but 5 gained ; and altogether we have lost 2st 3lbs!!!
As for the rest of you...I hope you are thoroughly ashamed of yourselves, you weak-willed specimins. You must do much better next week, do you hear me?
(murmurs of "yes Marjorie" from naughty corner).

Good luck, eat but don't cheat! (Flutters Dale Winton falsies as she leaves)

Hi all - I joined at the beginning of the tjread BUT have had computer problems and not been on mumsnet for a while.

I have lost 2.5 lbs inthe last fortnight - not brilliant but at least it is a downward trend!!

Lucymoo · 09/06/2005 13:23

Im definately going to try really hard this week, ive been good so far,no chocolate, but the week is still young!God,even writing chocolate makes my mouth water!I have been doing some situps and trying to walk more places.Im desperate to lose just 1lb next week just so i can prove to myself it can be done.Im dreading next Wednesday all ready,i cant go in the naughty corner AGAIN!

marjoriedawessassy · 09/06/2005 16:08

Well done to Sonnet, and glad to see some shamed faces vowing to do better.
Forgot my "Top Tip of the Week" earlier, so here it is..

With Beautiful weather and June happening together (rare in UK), why not make the most of all the lucious soft fruit and make up a bowl of fruit salad first thing in the morning to nibble on all day long? Even better, take a trip to the fruit farm and pick it yourself - I took dd1 on Tues and she had a great time picking (and eating) strawbs - makes a change from picking (and eating) her nose!!

chicagomum · 09/06/2005 16:15

am i being stupid but how come i won when moss lost 5lb aswell not that i'm complaining but if its an error will "willingly" share my jelly babies

marjoriedawessassy · 09/06/2005 16:25

No need Chicagomum, mosschops'5lbs was last week, this week she's maintained.
All those jelly babies are yours!
(moss won bath salts last week)
