How tall are you and what do you weigh?

Just wanted to do a quick poll really. I was just wondering how tall people are and how much do you weigh. I know it sounds really nosy (!) but I was reading a magazine (think it was Reveal) and I was quite surprised that a 5ft 6 woman weighed 8st 8 when I weigh 10st 2 (atm am hoping to diet but you know how it is!!)

I was 8st 6lb before being pregnant, and I'm 5ft 31/2" weigh 11st now, but am 27 wks pg

im 5'8" and 12 stone but still losing as had baba 6 months ago.. im lighter now than i was before i was pg.... years ago i was 10.5 stones and i looked too thin as looked ill as im large frame and heavy boned.

my ideal weight is 11.5

Thanks everyone, especially Yorkiegirl - that is very reassuring. You know how it is when you read a trashy mag and think 'oh my God I should be how much thinner?'!!!!

Pruni - I think if my wobbly bits were toned then I probably wouldn't feel as paranoid. I walk a lot with one year old ds in his pushchair and the thought of doing anythign more strenuous makes me shudder but I suppose I should to feel better about myself

I'm 5ft 6 inc 13 stone now have lost 11 lb in 7 weeks and desperate to lose more.

Society says really we should be stick insects, i am a big girl would like to loose more weight too but not be a stick insect thnkyou

I know what you mean Jambo - the pressure to look like the women in magazines is shocking

I'm 5' 8" and weigh 10st 9ish. It's fluctuating at the moment. Was 11st 12 not that long ago.

I'm 5'9 and 12 and half stone when last weighed a couple of weeks ago . Still not ideal but I was over 14 stone in Jan so some progress has been made. I've just checked my BMI too, and I'm only barely just in the overweight range now too! Hurrah, I'm almost normal (well in that respect anyhow!) Think I might trot off to see if any improvement has occured. Don't deserve it, but the BF seemed to be doing me huge favours just recently!

I'm 5ft 9 inches and weigh just under 12 stones, was over 13 stones after DS2 was born that was too much. I've been lighter but not concerned enough about it to do anything at the moment.

I am almost exactly what the woman in the magazine was, 5'6" and weigh 8st 9lbs. According to those bmi charts, that is on the lower end of normal. It is obviously the right weight for me, as this is what I've weighed, give or take a pound, for at least 10 years (except for when pregnant and the months following it)
The range is quite vast for normal so I guess its how you feel etc. Between 8.7 and 9 I feel good.

Should have added that prior to this, probably about 12 years ago I was 12 stone. I managed to lose almost 3 stone, then my weight just kind of settled. Now I'm lucky that I can eat pretty much what I like. I am pretty active too which helps keep toned.

I am 5ft 6in and weigh 8st 8lbs I am at the lower end of the scale for ideal body weight for my height. Anything up to ten and a half stone is an ideal weight for your height. My BMI is 22. We all come in different shapes and sizes and I would'nt read too much into to it as long as you are happy and feel healthy in yourself. I did however go up to 13 stone with my first pregnancy. It took a good 9months to shift any excess weight after giving birth. Oh well never mind! It was worth it after all.

5ft., 4in. Was 8.5 stone before becoming pregnant; don't know now. Used to be much thinner before DD came along, but had more time to workout then, too.

I am 5'2 and at the mo I weigh about 9 stone 2 lbs.

I am 5'4" and I weight 11st 6lb. 4 weeks ago I was 12st! I'm on target to lose 2lb per week until I'm 10st. The last time I was 10st I was a size 12 and perfectly happy with myself. I have been 8st 12lb before, but I had been incredibly ill and looked/felt awful! I started going to the gym 5 days a week to train for Army Entry and my weight settled at 10stone..... so there you go.

BTW I'm losing 2lb a week by switching my tipple from white wine to G&T! Fabulous diet!!

I'm 5'5 and 13st4lbs. I have always been around 10 - 10 1/2 stone but i put on 4 stone when i was pregnant with dd I lost a bit then i put a stone on when pregnant with ds and lost it again straight away.

I'm desperately trying to lose that 3 stone - it makes me sooooooo miserable!!!!

im 5 ft and all im gonna say is that according to medical people i am MORBIDLY OBESE. Should lose about 12 stone to be my 'ideal' weight! For someone that obese i look darn good and am capable of running around after 6 children all day!!

bonkers same here !!! i think im sexy !! mind you i would rather be voluptious instead of morbidly obese..bastar*s calling it that any way ..see my profile do i look like a morbid lump!! hmmph!!
