Have just bought the book & CD after two recommendations. Anyone following his rules ? Is it working ?

I am also finding healthy eating a struggle now I have my 5 month old. Evertday I have good intentions and think I will have porrige for breakfast and a healthy lunch. However, the demands of my baby make it too easy to reach for unhealthy snacks instead during the day. When my hubby comes home from work I am okay because i have time to prepare something nutritious while he plays with the baby. The problem is I have 3 stones to lose.

Kayleigh · 15/04/2005 07:30

i couldn't hold out. I had to weigh myself this morning. I was suddenly really worried that if i left it 2 weeks i would have put on loads of weight. Ridiculous I know as I really did feel like I had lost some. But have always been such a slave to the scales.

Anyway I last weighed myself sunday morning ..... and I have lost 5, yes FIVE, pounds since then.

It is working .

How is everyone doing ?

lilibet · 15/04/2005 09:41

Woo Hoo!!!!

I have told dh to hide tyhe battery from the scales!

TinyGang · 15/04/2005 10:15

Kayleigh! Fantastic, well done!

Had another go with the cd last night before I went to sleep - I actually fell asleep listening to it and had really weird dreams!

I keep thinking of the hypnotist in Little Britain 'Look into my eyes, not round the eyes, into my eyes. 321 You're under...'!

heffalump · 15/04/2005 12:22

I couldn't take it seriously before - now I really won't be able to! Thanks for making me laugh out loud tinygang.

lilibet · 15/04/2005 13:25

I find it very difficult to eat slowly - I'm more of a move over in the trough girl!

Kayleigh · 15/04/2005 19:19

tinygang, hadn't thought of that before. If i start laughing now when i listen to my CD i'll blame you !

lilibet, that is the hardest thing for me too. I always wolf my foof down. I also hate cold food so always eat quickly so my food is still hot. Am trying to eat slower, but the putting my knife and fork down between mouthfulls bit is virtually impossible.

Millymummy and Eaney, you both have young babies - doing anything at all is hard, let alone trying to lose weight. Please don't beat yourselves up about it.

Kayleigh · 15/04/2005 19:19

"wolf my foof" LOL
That should say food !

mancmum · 17/04/2005 14:58

doing well... just back from i-laws where I normally eat double body weight from their over stocked with M+S food... for first time ever only had 1 piece of bread and had small bits of ham and cheese... loads of fruit... I am not going to weigh myself for 2 weeks from today as want to get under 11 stone and want to see it say 10 stone something.. am now off to confernce for 3 days so will be ineresting to see how I cope with all the hotel food!

marthamoo · 17/04/2005 15:34

Blimey, Kayleigh - well done!

Kayleigh · 17/04/2005 16:01

thanks marthamoo

mancmum, hope your conference goes well, have you taken your CD with you?

I am finding this so liberating. No counting, no worrying about what i can and can eat. This was yesterdays food intake :-

breakfast - didn't have any as not hungry first thing and I knew we were having early lunch with kids.

12:00 1 hot dog roll with frankfurter, ketchup and mustard. 1 loose frankfurter and a tomato.

3:30 1 apple and lump of cheddar

6:00 2 chicken fajetas. Left about 2 bites.

8:00-10:00 2 glasses white wine

11:00 tea and a choc shortbread biscuit

What are others eating ?

OP posts:
marthamoo · 17/04/2005 16:08

I'm going to have another go. I need liberating too! I am so sick of thinking about food, points, calories and my weight all the time - it's dreary.

Kayleigh · 17/04/2005 16:19

marthamoo, DO IT !! I can't tell you how wierd it's been this week. No worrying about what I can eat at 9:00 in the evening while I am contemplating breakfast, as my decision could tie me into the wrong food (slimming world) or having to tally in my head every scrap i put in my mouth (w/w).

The only thing i ask myself is "Am I hungry ?" and if the answer is yet " what do i fancy eating?"

Unbelievable.

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 17/04/2005 16:20

umm, obviously the answer would have to be "Yes" and not "yet"

OP posts:
marj · 17/04/2005 20:56

Well done Kayleigh! Your success is brilliant, amazing how a cd can change your attitude to food so quickly. I am seriously thinking about buying it. Anyone know if they have it in tescos?

Kayleigh · 17/04/2005 22:16

Probably marj. Saw it in Sainsburys today for 7.99.

It's all going well at the moment. But it's only been a week. Let's see is this is sustainable. That for me is the really big thing.

OP posts:
heffalump · 18/04/2005 09:33

yes they do have it in tescos, it's only about £6, much cheaper than rrp.

feelingold · 18/04/2005 09:40

I ordered the 4 disc weightloss system from QVC and it has just arrived this morning, so I'm going to give it a go and if it hasn't made any difference to me in 21 days I will send it back.
Won't be able to start listening to the CDs until tomorrow though cos I'm minding all day today and at a meeting tonight so give me a few days and I will let you know how I get on.

Kayleigh · 18/04/2005 09:46

feelingold, what's the difference between the 4 CD system and the book/CD in the shops ?

OP posts:
crunchie · 18/04/2005 09:54

Kayleigh keep going as I want to see if this works for you. I am keeping the 4 rules in my mind a little. and trying to think - am I hungry? and to slow down, but I am also calorie counting too

I watch with bated breath

feelingold · 18/04/2005 10:09

I haven't seen the book, just saw this on QVC so I'm not sure, anyway the discs are

  1. Programme your mind to slim your body
  2. The secrets of naturally thin people
  3. Exercise made easy
  4. Craving buster

Apparantly this works for 70% per cent of people
(bet I'm one of the 30% it doesn't work for knowing my luck). Anyway I thought I would give it a go cos with QVC you have 28days to return a product if it doesn't work or decide you don't want it.

Kayleigh · 18/04/2005 10:18

feelingold (just realised how your nickname reads - in my head you are feelin' gold !!!), i think the first CD is the same as the one that comes with the book. The others are stuff he talks about in the book. You would definitely know after 28 days if it was working or not. I am only 7 days in and it is definitely working.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.

OP posts:
feelingold · 18/04/2005 10:24

Thanks Kayleigh - I hope it does work cos I am getting desperate.
I am definitely feeling-old (had my 40th birthday recently).
Good luck to everyone else following the programme and I will definitely let you know how I get on.

Kayleigh · 18/04/2005 11:09

feelingold, 40 is young. I'm 2 years older than you
