Well done on the run Ria! I hate having sciatica. I blame the kids

RG, I doubt I would have gone to the meeting either. Would a positive result been a good one? How old are your dc again?

I've had 2 hot cross buns today. Yummy. Only 2.5 points each woohoo

RGPargy · 13/03/2009 20:49

A positive result would have been a good result i think, albeit an unexpected one!

I love Hot cross buns! They're so addictive aren't they! Just waiting for DP to come back with chinese now lol.

Hope everyone's had a good week! Have a cracking weekend, whatever you do!

How is everyone's weight loss going?

I've lost another 2lb so all is good.

What did you get from the chinese RG? I love chinese food. Trying to be really good this week as could do with a big loss to boost my willpower. Got a wedding to go to in July, so really want to lose another 3 stone if possible!

jennybensmummy · 16/03/2009 09:08

HI all, i think i joined this thread a month or two ago but i lost motivation and never came back on!! Though this time its for real, i want to lose 8 stone ideally thoguh would be happy i guess with 6 or 7. Im getting married in auguat 2010 and want to be normal weight then not the fat lump i am now so what with ordering dress etc i need to loose the weight in the next about 15 months i think. I also decided i would love to get fit enough to run a half marathon for an autism charity too but im not sure if i am just dreaming on that one but its a goal id love to achieve, and would get loads of sponsers off family etc as i have never been thin!!! Im not doing ww or sw or anything just trying to eat healthily and do some exercise though find it hard as im a full time carer to my son who is autistic and always on the go, he has a major buggy but doesnt like ti much so i cant go out for long walks and he isnt good enough on his bike to go for runs etc so only free time is when my dp gets in from work but sdont want to spend it all exercising as we need time together and i need to relax!!!

So please can i join you all and ill be thin one day honest!!! Anyone from near me then we could meet up and motivate each other?!?! IM near mansfield in nottinghamshire just incase anyone is!!

RGPargy · 16/03/2009 21:12

Hi 5! Well done on your loss - you're doing so well! I just got something pretty boring and plain from the chinese. We call it our "seven pound special" because it used to cost us £7 but lately we've been adding extra dishes..... So anyway, i had chicken satay skewers, third of a portion of egg fried rice, curry sauce and a few chips. Not really "chinese" eh?

Welcome back Jennybensmummy! Quite a few people dip in and out of this thread so dont worry about not posting regularly if you dont want to! You sound really motivated - good for you! You also sound like you have your hands full so i understand how exercising can be an issue for you. I dont get much time for exercise either, which is why i've decided that i will only exercise on my non-work days (mon-weds) because i dont get home from work til after 7pm on a work day.

I think running a half marathon is a great goal to aim for! It's very doable indeed!!

My weight loss is non-existent at the moment. I'm just not "in the zone" at the moment and it's doing my head in! I sit around moaning about being fat and then just head straight for the cupboard and eat something fattening! I'm hoping that if i do some exercise, it'll help motivate me to eat better. I'm lucky in that regular exercise makes my body shed weight really quickly so it could be the boost i really need.

Have a nice evening everyone!

I could eat that right now RG!!! I love chinese food

Good luck JBM! Have seen you on the SN boards, so if I see you there, I will give you a little bit of motivation

jennybensmummy · 17/03/2009 11:52

if you see me anywhere tell me to get off here and on my new rowing machine!!!! though doubt it will happen as im just too lazy - got to get motivation, im going to cut up a wedding magazine and put pics of pretty dresses everywhere on all cupboards etc etc i think!!!!

RGPargy · 19/03/2009 13:24

Marthasmama · 22/03/2009 14:15

Hello again. I managed to lose about a stone in two weeks then put on a couple of pounds in the last few days. So I've lost 12lbs in three weeks. Not too shabby eh? Back on the diet tomorrow as I've been slacking this weekend.

Hi Pheonix, welcome!

I've been horrendously bad over the last few days/weeks! I've not even bothered to go to WW for my weigh ins!

I keep saying this and never do anything about it, but i need a big kick up the jacksy to get me motivated and on track.

Marthasmama · 26/03/2009 16:31

RGPargy - So, were you having your hair dyed on Tuesday at around 12.15?

Riallytoofattoflounce · 27/03/2009 21:52

hey guys, how you all doing? have had technical probs and been offline (and off-diet mostly) for a while.

Haven't read throug the thread yet.

RG, and other WWs - Tesco (or ours at least) has a WW cookbook in for £5

I have lost 1 whole lb since I last weighed in

Is anyone else doing SW? Have decided I must try harder (again) but also need to do DH by stealth (he needs to eat more than packets of crisps, not just for weight but for health issues) - any suggestions for snacky type meals that at most need a couple of pans or the grill? (microwave broken, and don't really want to be putting the oven on when he gets in at night or I will no doubt pop in a pizza for me)

will try and catch up over the weekend.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 27/03/2009 21:58

well done on that loss phoenix.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 27/03/2009 22:02

jennybensmummy, have you seen this thread. I managed the whole of week 1 run 1 which I was massively roud of, but DH's efforts to secure this new job have buggered up the rest of my plans. But I felt that the podcast makes it do-able, doesn't take up too much time, and the adrenalin I got from just that one tiny achievement made all the "me time" I would like to have but don't get seem insignificant.

RGPargy · 27/03/2009 22:12

Marthasmama - Yes, i was still in there then with my head under the heater. Were you in there too or did you see me through the window? haha! This is assuming of course that you know which hairdressers i was at!

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 28/03/2009 12:55

I was sat next to you when you had the salmon colour applied! I knew it was you!!! I was having my hair cut short and my mum was there with my dd! How funny!

RGPargy · 28/03/2009 20:49

Hahahahahaha!!! No WAY!! I remember you! You smiled at me lol. I remember your mum coming in with DD (so cute, btw!). LOL @ salmon colour tho. It's actually red, thank you!

I dont know why on earth you're on this thread tho because you certainly dont look like you've got anywhere near 5 stone to lose!

How on earth did you know it was me? I dont think i even mentioned on this thread that i was getting my hair done!

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 28/03/2009 21:07

You never mentioned it. I have seen your pics as we were talking on this thread about something so I had a look. When you came down I thought, hmm, she looks familiar. Then there were a couple of things you said about going back to work 2 days a week, I think Olly asked about your dd and the more I thought about it the more I thought, that's RGPargy!! I thought about taking about fruit shoots or greggs sausage rolls to see if you reacted . I must have just sensed the MN-ness! Hee hee! And thank you, dd is lovely and yes I do have more than 5 stone to lose. It's a small world isn't it?

RGPargy · 28/03/2009 21:15

hahaha such a small world! You've got a great memory to remember all that kind of stuff! I dont remember anything about anyone on here once i've walked away from the computer.

I might have raised an eyebrow at frootshoots but would probably have dribbled at the idea of a Gregg's Sausage Roll!

Well we obviously have great taste in hairdressers. Perhaps we should meet for a coffee sometime!

OP posts:
Marthasmama · 28/03/2009 21:17

Yes that would be good. I have been to that hairdressers on and off for many many years. I remember Dylan when he was the sweeping/hairwashing boy! He's a good lad!
