LunarSea - you say that you are getting more exercise but the sad thing (well I think!) of being slimmer is that you will now need loads less calories than you were once able to eat - maybe keep a food diary and see if it needs any tweaking? Don't know if it's true but they say your body adjusts to eating the lesser calories and so is more efficient at storing it. In the good old days when I did lose lots of weight, what also helped me was interval training - it is supposed to be one of the best ways to boost your metabolism. Also do you do weight-training?

I know it's no help to you but wish I was in your position atm - I'm at the beginning of your weight-loss achievement . Just enjoy how far you have come so far and how much better you must feel!

LunarSea · 04/03/2005 11:50

Demented - sadly nobody's telling me that I don't need to lose any more. And my mother hasn't even noticed that I've lost any - she tells me every time I see her that she thinks I've gained more Actually I think that she's gained more every time I see her too (true, not imagined) - but I'm too nice to say so.

Demented · 04/03/2005 15:54

Sorry was having a bit of a rant earlier!

to mothers Lunarsea! I can't believe she hasn't noticed you have lost nearly six stone, you must be a shaddow of your former self.

My Mum swings between "I don't think you've lost enough weight to wear that yet" to "oh no I don't think you need to lose any more you don't want to be too thin"! You can't please 'em!

A stone, that's fantastic! Well done!

I'm going to have a prawn salad, it's just getting off my bum to make it that's the problem. I really wanted to go to BodyBalance tonight as I missed my aerobics today (DS2 not well) but DH is having none of it, thinks we should have a nice evening at home.

lunarsea - it could easily be a seasonal thing. I find the weight drops off far more easily after easter than before. just a few weeks now....

trefusis sorry to hear you are having such a bad time. I also hang out with the computer to avoid eating sometimes (the kitchen is 2 stories down from here).

2lb off this week. can't really get too excited as it's the same 2lb I lost twice in the last couple of months already! am oscillating rather than losing, but still, it could be worse

Demented · 04/03/2005 18:46

LOL!

Don't think he's got seduction in mind, he's got Supersize Me out the video shop for us to watch together.

I would like to see Supersize me, maybe it could be a video for all of us to watch every evening while eating dinner to put us off bingeing.

Demented · 04/03/2005 19:41

Still haven't had my dinner, sounds like I should probably have it before Supersize Me then?

Evesmama · 04/03/2005 20:50

lunersea, you have a lot less weight to carry now, so your body will be holding on to is more eagerly!, the excersize will help tremendously and will help your health and fitness..keep going hun..you ARE doing great

Loobz · 05/03/2005 09:02

Good morning everyone - feeling much better today
It's a lovely day here today - cold but very sunny - so plan to put the boots on and walk into town which will take me around 50 minutes.
Dh and Ds are going out to a sportsman's dinner tonight so Dd and I plan to have a lazy night watching DVD's and having munchies but I am so determined to get my half stone award next week that I plan to see what I can make that is low syn or free.
Luckily I am off sweet things at the moment although I can do as much damage with savoury foods but I am going to be good - still have a lot of syns to play with too.
Have a good day everyone

Evesmama · 05/03/2005 12:45

right loobz, do you have any lasange pasta sheets in??if not, get some..soak in boiling water till their bedy place on tray, spray with frylight and sprinkle salt/peper/garlic salt etc on and grill till they start looking like dippers!
dip them in garlic sauce made with very low fat fromage frais or quark, put in a pice of garlic and blend...yummy and all sin freehth

Loobz · 05/03/2005 15:01

Going to be shattered by teatime - Dh has been having a diy day and although he is very good he is a messy b**ger Have just spent the last half hour or so clearing up his mess - aarrgghh!!!
