i've just started on this diet again. i've used it twice already .
once when i was in my late teens and very overweight. lost 5 stones in about a year.
than after dc1 i lost 3 stone in 4 months
and now i've been doing it for 2 months and i'm not sure about weight as i dont weight myself, but i've gone from size 22 to 18.
i have my 3 meals. proper meals. e.g fruit or bowl of cereal fruit breakfast.
a sandwich for lunch. just a plain sandwich with ham salad or chicken salad. no mayo/butter/salad cream.
dinner. is just whatever you would have as before. nothing lean or cut back. and if you want a takeaway, or go out for dinner some nights then it's fine.
my rules are
no alcohol unless it's a special occasion.
no caffiene. either de-caf or the best is chamomile or fennel as these settle a hungry stomach and keep you from getting constipated.
no juices. still water or diluting juice if you hate water.
no snacks between your 3 meals.
you will be hungry. very very hungry for the first week. but you'll notice a difference by the end of that week.then you dont feel as ravenous.
if you fall off the wagon for one day. dont worry about it. just start again with your 3 meals the next day.
but remember. every snack you eat, your body has to burn off or store.
meals are good. snacks are bad.
and you must do some form of easy exercise. be that a brisk 30 min walk, or some sort of toning thing is good every day. i'm a fan of doing 100 stomach crunches while watching soaps. not full sit ups. just lift your shoulders off floor.
